I have 87 cabbage patch dolls. My dad took me almost every weekend to get a new doll at cabbage patch land. We lived not far so that was my allowance. I miss my hard working,single dad hero!!

Ah, the memories of yet another toy my family couldn't afford.
Compared to fucking today I could have easily spent a dime in that but zelekensy gets my money now via tax dollars so sad
I am from Australia l was 11 years old when they came out. And in a private school. I remember hearing whan they were coming here. Every one was so excited. I wanted on so badly and they were obviously much rarer here in Australia. But hear they were 50$ that was alot for a doll back then. But l remember mum sending dad out and he found one nearly 2 hours drive away. She was beautiful!.
People got into fist fights to get these!! I got a fake one. 🤣
So I was already an infant at 1 year of age & my sister was a mere 6 months when this was the craze. I had to see it first hand I believe around 1989 or 1990. Also I can't believe that the $10 bill was WAY more popular back then unlike now where the $20 is way more popular.
these things look creepy, why are they a must have? Kids will play with it for like 10 minutes, get bored and then it sits for years
