Rotoscoping is a fascinating technique! I love all the old-school/ analogue cinematography techniques, like forced perspective. CGI can deliver some cool things, but it’s far too over-used.

This is from Betty Boop's Snow White. They used to play this (or a Carmen Miranda number who's name I've forgotten) every Saturday Night at midnight before the main feature of Rocky Horror Picture Show. This was in the 70s and early 80s at the Strand Theatre on Market Street in San Francisco. Loved that theater. Everybody would sing along with the movie and have a great time.

So I just realized something incredible. As he’s singing, everything he’s saying is appearing in the background. When he says “bury me in my straight leg britches” you can see a couple skeletons in the back trying on pants and so on and so forth. Idk maybe I’m just dim for not noticing it sooner but I think it’s such an amazing small detail.

This is kinda disturbing but so artistic somehow, I used to watch this when I was little in 2006 (I'm born in 2004), my parents loved to let me watch old cartoons like this and obv I loved them and this is kinda hypnotic also, I love it.
