    Well, it's a, oh Noah
Oh oh Noah, Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(Well it's a), Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
Hey children stop, be still, and listen to me
God walked down to the rowdy sea
He declared that evil had descended to man
And then he decided to destroy the land
He spoke to Noah and Noah stopped
He said "Noah, I want you to build me an ark"
I want you to build it three cubits long
I want you to build it big and strong
I want it thirty high and fifty wide
So it will withstand the wind and tide
    , Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(Well it's a), Oh oh Noah
Oh oh Noah (Oh ho), Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
    Brother Noah
Brother Noah, my God's talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
Well after the foundation was laid
Then Noah began to hew and build
The ringing of the hammer cried judgment
The hewing of the saw cried sin and repent
A hundred years he hammered and sawed
Building the ark by the grace of God
When the ark was done God's voice was heard
He said, "Now, Noah let me tell you what to do."
"Call in the animals two by two."
So he called them in the ark two by two
He called the bird, the oxford, the kangaroo
Then he called in Japeth, and Ham, and Shem
Then God began to flood the land
He raised his hands to heaven on high
Shook the stars and they moved from the sky
Shook the mountains, he troubled the sea
Hitched the wind, his chariot decree
He steped on land and stood on the shore
And declared that time there wouldn't be no more
, Oh Noah, Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide

God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
    (Soloist)- Brother Noah
    My God's talking
    Said he would ride
    on the wind & tide.
(Group in background) - God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
Hey children, stop still, and listen to me.
God walked down to the briny sea.
He declared that evil was the sin for man.
And then He decided to destroy the land.
He spoke to Noah and Noah stopped.
He said "Noah, I want you to build me an ark".
I want you to build it 3 cubits long.
I want you to build it big and strong.
I want it 30 high and 50 wide.
So it will withstand the wind and tide.
Well it's oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah Oh OH! oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
well it's Oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah Oh OH! oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
    Soloist (Humming) Mmmm Mmmm
(Group in background) - God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
    (Soloist)- Brother Noah.
    Brother Noah,
    my God's talking
    said he would ride
    on the wind and tide
(Group in background) - God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.
Well after the foundation was laid.
and Then Noah began to hew and build.
The ringing of the hammer that cried judgement.
The hewing of the saw cried sin, repent.
hundred years he hammered and sawed.
Building the ark by the grace of God.
And When the ark was done God's voice was heard.
said "Now, Noah let me tell you what to do.
call in the animals two by two.
So he called them in the ark two by two.
He called the birdies, the ox, with the kangaroo.
Then he called in japheth, Ham, and Shem
then God began to flood the land.
He raised His hands to heaven on high.
Shook the stars and moon from the sky.
Shook the mountains, He trebled the sea.
hitched the wind to his chariot wheels.
He stepped on land and stood on the shore.
And declared that time there wouldn't be no more.
Well it's oh oh Noah Oh oh Noah Oh OH! oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide.

@@peterrogers870 I'm sure they're really singing in the video, but the audio may well be recorded from a different studio session. In fact, it seems likely, because they would probably all need to have been close to a microphone for that, and I don't see any in this video. I am nonetheless sure that they would have been great live, and that there were no advanced production techniques used to make them sound better.

@@syncmonism This is called a Soundie.A Soundie was a pre cursor to music videos from the 40s,that were played on a special jukebox called a Mills Panoram. While regular Jukeboxes had vinyl records and a record player,Panorams had 16mm film reels,a 16mm film projector, and a screen. The projector would be inside the jukebox, around 10 or so film reels. When someone put in a quarter, and pressed a button, the film reel they chosed, would put the film strip into the projector, and play it on the screen. These Soundies are really ahead of there time, and because of sound quality most of these Soundies were lip synced. I know some people think Lip Syncing was made in the 90s,and MTV popularized the music video, but of course there wrong. Soundies would diminish in popularity and end production in the late 50s. Because of the low sound quality most Soundies are really relaxing to me. A few to note are The Jubalaires- Noah,The Mills Brothers-Till Then, Cab Calloway-Blues In The Night, and The Delta Rhythm Boys-Dem Dry Bones.

Lyrics because I too was intrigued
    [Hook]
    (Well it's a)
    Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah (Oh ho)
    Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
    (Well it's a)
    Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah (Oh ho)
    Oh Noah
God’s gonna ride on the wind and tide
Brother Noah, my god’s talking (God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
    [Verse 1: Ted Brooks]
Hey children stop, be still, and listen to me
God walked down to the rowdy sea
He declared that evil had descended to man
And then he decided to destroy the land
He spoke to Noah and Noah stopped
He said "Noah, I want you to build me an ark"
I want you to build it three cubits long
I want you to build it big and strong
I want it thirty high and fifty wide
So it will stand the wind and tide
    [Hook]
    (Well it's a)
    Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah (Oh ho)
    Oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind and tide
    (Well it's a)
    Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah (Oh ho)
    Oh Noah
God’s gonna ride on the wind and tide
    Brother Noah, my god’s talking
(God's gonna ride on the wind and tide)
Say you'll ride on the wind and tide
    [Verse 2: Ted Brooks]
Well after the foundation was laid
Then Noah began to hew and build
The ringing of the hammer cried judgment
The hewing of the saw cried sin and repent
A hundred years he hammered and sawed
Building the ark by the grace of God
When the ark was done God's voice was heard
He said, "Now, Noah let me tell you what to do.”
“Call in the animals two by two.”
So he called them in the ark two by two
He called the bird, the ox with the kangaroo
Then he called in Japeth, and Ham, and Shem
Then God began to flood the land
He raised his hands to heaven on high
Shook the stars and they moved from the sky
Shook the mountains, he troubled the sea
Hitched the wind, his chariot decree
He steped on land and stood on the shore
And declared that time there wouldn't be no more
    [Outro]
    Oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah
    Oh oh Noah
God's gonna ride on the wind & tide
