The rendition of Danse Macabre is the very definition of virtuosity! Absolutely wonderful.
Another senior citizen thoroughly enthralled by the inspiration derived from the union of an organ and its master, joined no less by your lovely wife. Confined to home because of a pesky virus, and being 78, viewing this wondrous video is precisely the best medicine for my soul. No words can touch the mystery you evoke, Gert van Hoef. Bless you and your family.

I do not know how many times I have listened to and or watched this particular performance of Gert's here. It is like.... well, good Champagne..... he is at a great level of enthusiasm and emotion here as well. Just Great1

The music is impeccable, flows with such ease. The sounds are marvelous. It is a joy to see his wife's expressions of happiness. She is definitely proud of him. I am proud of him!!!

Three very different pieces all played so beautifully Gert. Danse Macabre was awesome and as you played and grinned, I could just imagine you thinking, "this is so much FUN!!" Your joy is transmitted to us through your fingers and this fantastic organ. I must watch more of your videos because I love to listen to pipe organ. As a very mediocre pianist who did not want to sit and practice, I know the dedication and many hours of practice it takes to reach your level of skill and virtuosity. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
Quelle joie de vous écouter jouer avec autant de talents sur de si beaux instruments auxquels vous faites honneur. Au travers de vos vidéos avec votre superbe épouse j'ai été touché par toutes vos interprétations. Il va me falloir vous entendre en direct et visiter ces églises pour voir ces merveilleux instruments. J'espère qu'un jour nous pourrons vous écouter sur l'orgue de NOTRE DAME, malheureusement rempli de plomb après l'incendie. Vos interprétations nous font découvrir combien on peut exprimer d'autres compositeurs que ceux du 17ème siècle dont notre cher J-C BACH, qui ont tant écrit pour cet instrument si compliqué, pour lequel vous être très doué. Vraiment Merci

Hope has become one of my favorite songs, beautifully played by Gert. What a handsome couple. Watch Marjolein as she makes sideward glances to the man who is now her husband. She shoots him little love arrows. All part of a great show.

Don't know how he does It, he turns a beautiful piece of very dark and Gothic music into a light and wonderful piece all I can say is, Van Hoef must be a light hearted and beautiful person, this piece becomes light-hearted and loving piece of music. I now know a dark piece becoming a light piece. How wonderful, I love it, it is a different piece of music which I adore, two pieces for the price of one, BRAVO, BRAVO, Bravo.

Gert, wat speel je toch prachtig. Er gaat geen dag voorbij zonder dat ik naar een stuk van je luister. Ik heb wel de indruk dat Geraardsbergen een hele mooie plek is om te spelen qua kerkgebouw en orgel.
Voor de zoveelste keer geluisterd en gekeken, en steeds weer meeslepend. Goede akoestiek ! Bedankt voor die mooie muziek.
