@@joniyoungart I have a question. I painted ( Sweet Pickins Milk Paint from the Farmhouse Finishes Safe group) an end table in black. It won’t chip ( why I used this line). I finally decided to do Northern Lights theme. Mixed FF with acrylic to obtain the greens and purple I wanted ... swished them on. Want to overlay it now with either gold or copper metallic wash lots of water to create a shimmer. Any words of wisdom?
Really pretty Joni your work is amazing
Thanks so much Tricia!
Still one of my favorites. Love your realistic paintings and could tell you watched Bob Ross by your voice and styling. :-)
Love your paintings they look so soft and it looks like you can just take a walk through them and feel at home and feel relaxed

Hi Joni, I've since been looking for what to do with my large black canvas. You've just given me the answer. Thanks! 👌
You’re very welcome Andrew, you’re going to love painting nighttime scenes on a black canvas! They’re so addicting
So nice of you to show us how you do this. By practicing we learn. Many thanks.
Super winter landscape Joni! Love how you painted the cabin including detailing the logs of the cabin. The shadowing of the snow happened so naturally when it picked up some of the darker color underneath on the roof. Also like the warm yellow reflections of light hitting the snow...perfectly done!
Thank you very much Rick!☺️
God i am so addicted to your tutorials lol!!! and so nice to see your face in this one, fingers crossed next week i can complete one of your fantasy canvas's. But don't hold me to that i will see how i go 1st :-) xx
Thanks so much!! 🥰
Talented artist 😍😍😍

I'm trying this, just right for the Christmas season, loving the snowy vibe. Your paintings give me a lot of inspiration. Love the way you explain things clearly and the colours you use. Hi from the UK!!!
Thank you ❤️
Muito linda paisagem, parabéns.Beijos.
So beautiful!!!!
Thanks
Absolutely amazing!! I'm sure that there are many talented painters (definitely not me) but not all of them can provide such amazing tutorials!!! You explain what and why you do what you do, and that's what makes you an amazing tutor!!! You make me feel that I just might be able to pull it off, a much lesser version of course. Thank you again for sharing your talent and knowledge!!!! CHEERS!!!!!
I've tried making a house/cabin, and it looks like a drunken toddler did it!! SOS!!!!! ANY, advice would be so appreciated!!!!
Thank you Deborah ❤️
Joni this painting makes me feel like I am in the woods enjoying a snowy vacation. Just love your art that truly comes from your heart. ❤️

That's right i love mine too in fact im a vegan so it takes me time to buy my brushes and paint @@joniyoungart
Beautiful!! How long did you use the hair dryer? And what was the heat setting? What a great idea to dry the paint!! Just amazing!! Thanks for the upload I’ve been painting alla prima for about 6 months and have had some issues with cabins but I use the palette knife, I love it though especially when you see yourself getting better! Amazing painting!
So beautiful! I am going to try this. ❤️❤️
Thank you 😊

Happy thanksgiving ❤️
У вас такая шикарная блуза,ажурная...я обычно рисую одеваю туничку и шорты,которые не жалко измазать краской... и как результат,ещё не закончив рисунок, коленки и руки в краске
I´ll just keep repeating myself, but I just can´t find any other words to express myself than beautiful, stunning, gorgeous, amazing! 💜 feels like my comments must get boring to read since they all usually says the same thing every time...
Anyways, I came, I saw and I love :) 💜
Never boring! You’re such a wonderful supporter, I appreciate and look forward to all of your comments ❤️
You are sooo amazing ❣️😘😘
Thank you so much 😊
Perfeito!
Thank you 😊
Joni show de pintura 🖌️
Thanks!
When you use two colors on your brush and don't mix them do you put them on each end??? Did that make since???
Yes that’s right!😚
Joni, the chalk brush you are using looks soft. All the ones I have seen are stiff as used for stenciling. Could you tell me if the bristles are stiff and if not, what to look for when buying one? Love all your paintings but especially the winter ones. I am painting this one for my grandson who aspires to live in the woods in a cabin.
Hi Nedra! The ones I used in this video are west mountain series. They are semi soft and chalk paint brushes. You can get them from home improvement and paint stores 😊
Super. Christmas card design...ideal for beginner. Thank you! jocelynk
bellissimo
Would it have disrupted your plan to have tge cabin closer to front so you could save your lovely tree?
одна из мои немногих работ, которая мне нравиться самой
Awesome :o
i love this can you show me in one of your paintings how to do human foot prints in the snow
Hi absolutely beautiful! What size canvas did you use?
Thanks! This is 16x20
What brushes did you use again?
it's somewhere i wanna be......
Thank you 😊
Hi, I'm a new subcriber. Thank you for these great tutorials. 🎨 I love that you're dressed beautifully and don't get paint on your clothes ☺️ question: do you use water or an additive, such as retarder?
Where can I get that big round brush?
Hi Bonnie, you can find them at Walmart, Michaels and Amazon
can you do this technique with oil paint
Yes, it’s a little different as oil paint takes much longer to dry but the basic steps are the same 😊
I’m having such trouble trying to find a large filbert brush, like the one used for the trees. Could anyone point me in the right direction in the U.K.? Nowhere ever states the size
Felicidades hermoso Primero pinto el cuadro de negro? Gracias
Do I have to buy a black canvas or can I make my own?
Paint your own😘
Ya!! We missed thevtree!😊
Trying to use your techniques on furniture
What a cute cosy place to snuggle up in with a roaring fire keeping us warm and yummy hot chocolate to drink..Gorgeous 🥰
Thank you 🤗

You did not put all the paint colors or the brushes in what was needed. You change colors and brushes and don’t say what you’re changing to. Are they wet? Are the dry? Do you wash your brush between paint color change? We were confused. We do love the picture but struggling with lack of instructions. Thank you.
Not winter
