My god, Freddie Mercury really knew his shit. He literally wrote a classical piece then transposed it into a rock masterpiece. Classy, classy guy.
well he was classically trained on the piano... as was Elton John
@@evieaddy9580except not being able to read music would kinda mean he (mercury) wasn't very classically trained
obviously not necessarily an important skill when it comes to a musician's talent, but it definitely comes as a part of classical training, regardless of what you play
That trumpet tho. He had his chance and he took it like a boss. Cuts through everything. Lovely tone.
he’s actually my assistant band teacher! mr. patrick hunninghake! great guy, and he definitely owned that solo

I actually felt this comment too...right in the feels.
¡Estoy llorando como bebé!
From a song that was originally meant to be a flop. Freddie must be chuffed.
Can we appreciate the solo viola? Because dang! She has perfect tone and is very good with dynamics !
A real harmony among the string instruments violin, viola, cello etc... I love this kind of instrumentals played by an orchestra... An extra efforts for music lovers...
Heavenly like sounds.

@@zawwiUtubeso sorry bro, I can't like it more than once, exquisite spotting
Funny thing is that if you showed this to someone who’s never heard bohemian rhapsody they would probably think this is some kind of classical music from the 1800s
Honestly I'd love to see that. Someone who's just never heard Bohemian Rhapsody hear this, get their thoughts, and then listen to the actual song
Hahahaha,...you are damn right...😄😄😀

Me too. I’d love to see this live.
Who wouldnt
I believe that when Queen wrote this, they didn't fully realize that they created a masterpiece.
Yevgeniy Shcherbakov no, i’m pretty sure they had a good idea.
Yevgeniy Shcherbakov Freddie knew, everyone else thought he was going mad
Freddie wrote it.
Roger San Gabriel, and Freddie was part of Queen, as well as sang and worked on it with Queen, so technically Queen wrote the song, though Freddie started working on it before everyone else.
douglas carpenter nah he didn't. The opera section it's Freddie, Brian May and Roger Taylor singing over and over. They had 100+ tapes of them singing the part.
Years of expensive music lessons.
Years of mind-numbing practice on your instrument .
Years of tolerating being labeled as a "Band" nerd.

I am going to put the this on our 3 yr old's wall. F kicking or throwing a ball. Hahhah
And featuring VIOLA! 🎉
When you hear this played by an orchestra, you realize what a brilliant piece of music BH is.
I went to IU(1968-1972). Their music school always had great musicians. BH is becoming a masterpiece and IU ‘s rendition is part of the process. The composers understood music theory and this piece is a rhapsody. Beautiful performance and a nice mixture of young men and women .
Mozart would be ecstatic hearing over Freddie's masterpiece..
JOHN GOUZOUASSIS Actually, I think Mozart would have a heart attack from hearing how much it's bent outside of the classical style.
Mozart could make it better. Can you imagine Mozart to day?
The viola was great, but can we give that trumpet player a medal!
it was good but not perfect.
Vats a viola, is it the most under appreciated string instrument?

I just love instrumental versions of modern songs and this one was amazing. Viola and trumpet solos were so beautiful.
December 2022. Great, great , this song is a work of art and Frieddie Mercury was a genius. This amazing!
That solo Viola was fantastic!! Such an underrated instrument.
Violas sound beautiful and better than a violin
Potato Burger It's not about sounding better, it's about sounding different. As a doublebass player, I don't like violins because they're too high-pitched and I prefer the grave sound of the viola more but they're both beautiful
It's all about emulating the vocal range. Viola is like a tenor
I love viola more
suburbanindie not tenor, alto 😉
This was real art. Only showcases the genius of the four men of Queen. You brought me to tears. Thank you for this.
Caleb Ricketts Freddy wrote it all by himself.

Bohemian Rhapsody is great because if you had never heard the original song before, you would think it was an original orchestra song, particularly during the operatic phase of the song.

Doesn't even sound like it was written in the second half of the 20th century. Truly a masterpiece
It is not often that you hear a viola do a solo. This was a great performance of Bohemian Rhapsody by this orchestra. I'm sure Freddie Mercury is smiling from above and enjoyed the performance.
But like any other musician he's probably disappointed that they made the viola so prominent.
Violas are so underappreciated! Lovely instrument.
Do that manic was a viola....always thought they were simply small violins. Beautiful sound. Beautiful piece.
@@Keithustus Idk what is wrong with violas. It is probably one of these things that less intelligent people just keep parroting without actually thinking about it.

i dont get it why a lot of musicians hate viola, it sounds soo heavenlyyyy
If there's a rock musician asking for symphonic rendition it probably was Freddie Mercury. This one is phantastic. Viola as a solo instrument is a perfect choice, violin could have been too harsh.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra played at our high school, way back in the day. If you've never heard a full orchestra play live (in person), you owe it to yourself to experience it for yourself. I promise, you will never forget it. "...Fabulous darlings"

Yes it always strikes me when listening to Queens music but it's an amazing sound coming from only four people.

@@vbl915 Freddie didnt alone, all the members are important, QUEEN created Bohemian Rhapsody
xDOTSx BLINDER freddie wrote the entire song and melody, i know brian made himself the solo guitar melody but apart from that i dont know about any collab from other member. As a disclaimer i did not mean to sound like other members from queen aren’t talented etc, i consider all of them extremely talented, every single one of them have written wonderful songs, i just wanted to give freddie his credit in this one
@@vbl915 Yes, but for example i am impressed that four (or more mainly three, since John Deacon didnt sing very much) ppl's voices can create such great operatic effect and volume.
Also the 'Deacy amp' enabled Brian's guitar to sound like a trumpet, adding to the orchestra like effect. Of course Freddie's songwriting here is pure genius, a poignant expression of the human condition, and we should give him full credit for that!
