MY MALE CURIOSITY - (HD Remastering) restaurato Kid Creole And The Coconuts Dal Film - Due Vite in Gioco Autore: August Darnell 1984 - Virgin - VS 690-12
Ah the coconuts♡ Adriana Kaegi, Cheryl Poirier, Taryn Hagey, A poster of these delightful lasses travelled with me during my time serving the colours. When women didn't look the same but were uniquely attractive. Loved this music and era
Kid Creole is still performing I believe?, different Coconuts however, that clip came out in 1983, the original Coconuts would be pushing 70 now, don't know about you but I'm not keen to see 70yo ladies with hairy armpits on stage 😳
I went to see Kid Creole 2 weeks ago! Still fantastic. Different girls, they were very good, but the original girls had that certain something ❤️🎙️💃🏼💃🏼
There's LOTS of great music out there right now. But future generations of music fans will never get to witness people like Kid Creole ever again. There's simply no platform for this kind of dynamic performer today...maybe never again.
@@ESmithStringSlinger well..in Indonesia, it's a famous band in the 80's like K.C and the Sunshine Band, The Commodore,Earth Wind and Fire,Kool and the gang,El de Barge, Tavares,Bee gees,etc.. Their songs are always played in discotheque...
I've always loved it since I was a kid, this kind of music, the choirs with pretty young ladies and the orchestra behind...it's very classy, it makes me dream... THANK YOU for the seventy music behind the sweet scent of cab callloway...
❤this song so much!!! Brings me great memories of my younger years at “The Beat Club” a Miami 80s Teen club on Bird Rd. 😅 When The Mask with Jim Carrie cabaret scene came out, it reminded me of this video lol- I think he did a few of Kid Creole moves. This Video is still Amazing and a true 80s Masterpiece 🎉
Really miss this time period. It was probably the last great decade for music? The 90's was good too, but the 80's had that retro anything goes feel that just was undeniable.👍
How come this song was not a hit in the uk charts in 1984??, fantastic song, from the scene Against all Odds”, I was baby that time, now 40 years old, but still look younger and everyone says it, I still feel like I’m in my 20’s as a young black man and I’m definitely “ aroused of Curiosity, lol 🤪😂😈
TWO of the best things to come out of this movie... 1) The Porsche vs Ferrari Race Scene 2) Kid Creole and The Coconuts BOTH, WERE WAY AHEAD OF THEIR TIME!!!!!
@@sharonsekhon9475 that and their choreography. I was 27 then and underarm hair was very rare on women in America. I know Ariana was European thus the underarm hair.
I think you don't get the point of the underarm hair. The whole point of the song is centred around the lack of body hygiene and presentation. That is why Kid is leaving the girl because she is not trying any more, so he is looking for a nice shaved and presentable babe. Look at Kid, he is immaculate. Oh, by the why, let's not get serious, it's only a bit of fun !!!!!!!
Ok..here it goes..3 continents of music..I have seen just about everyone....Jeff Beck, Jiminy Page, Mott the Hoople, and let us never forget a local New Jersey boy...George and Parliament ( obviously you thought I was going to say the man from Freehold, NJ..of course I saw him) kid creole and the coconut s...let me tell you something...if you absolutely positively cannot dance..they can make you dance..enough said
@@bertspeggly4428 - You're welcome! 😊 I'm surprised Carol Colman wasn't much more known! Female bassists were much rarer back then, and her playing was at quite a high level! And happy new year! 😊💚🍾🥂🎉🎇🎶🍀
Were the _Coconuts'_ hairy armpits somehow a part of the story in 'Against All Odds'?! 🤔😄 Anyway, it's a great song, and I like their dance routine in particular 😊
So glad someone posted this in HD quality..........thank you.

I was 13 years old in 1984 and when I saw this video those three female chorus singers aroused my curiosity
I was 14 ❤️ and I had female curiosity
@@patsypatti990 ooooo
I know one of the coconuts personally. Janique Svedberg. Met her in 2007. Wild stories
Against All Odds 1984... I was 13 years old... Unforgettable...
I was 12 and loved it
The dancers are awesome
Always regret not seeing Kid and Coconuts perform live. They look like such a fun band.
Omg they were! I went with my parents to see them live when I was a child. I grew up with their music along with Dr. Buzzards Original Savannah Band.😊

Kid Creole was such a showman.
Kid Creole was such an awesome showman.
I watching against all odds a few weekends ago and saw this scene and looking up kid and the coconuts. The 80s were grand !! They are fantastic !!!!
This film (AND SONG !!) still holds up all these decades later !! 🔥😎💖❤💜💋💥
Strong New York band. Best time for adult music. Let's bring back the spirit of the 80s.
There's LOTS of great music out there right now. But future generations of music fans will never get to witness people like Kid Creole ever again. There's simply no platform for this kind of dynamic performer today...maybe never again.
I love this version
I remember this song 1984 I'm 50 now 😊
I do, too, and I'm 70.
At that time i was 20 and a student
I always go to the discotheque on saturday nights, listening to this song and dancing.
What a beautiful memory....
Yes, I was also 20 at the time but didn't know who the Kid and the Coconuts were at the time. The local bars were not hip to this in smalltown ,MN.

Coreografia fantástica!!
Sweet 1984, sweet music, great times and--hairy armpit...........😁
Saw this first time in Against all odds movie. Great song
Goodness, I remembervthose 80's hairstyles.❤

I love this songs, all memories in 1984. Thanks for upload this version :-)
Such a great song. It sure brings back a lot of memories. Kid Creole is the man with those dance moves. I think he married one of his dancers.
He was married to Coconut Adriana Kaegi and cofounded the band with her and Coati Mindi aka Andy Hernandez.
Ah, a connoisseur, like me! He was in Denmark, loved the place, lived a few years there. Probably all the blonde blue eyed girls, lol!
Coati Mundi, that is.
Great band.
Bought their fabulous loved 🥥 look.
I forgot how good this band was.
INFALIBLE GORGEOUS COCONUTS.!!!
Kid Creole tuvo poca llegada en Chile, pero sí esta canción se hizo famosa por la película Against All Odds. Buena banda con un estilo único
thank you for doing this HD.
Soo cool, so kitsch, I loved them so much!!!
CLÁSICO INMORTAL💖✨🎭🎶
Pimpin' it right!
キッドクレイト゚アンドココナッツで良いのですね。
soooo cool!
I remember them singing this song in the movie against all odds with Jeff Bridges
Such a classic 🔥

Awesome !!!
Against All Odds .... great movie!
The only time I ever saw or heard of this group was in the movie. The hairy underarms are what caught my attention.
MY EYES !!!!!!
armpit hair
Who still listens to this song?
That bassline...
Don’t mess with my coconuts.
Sorry that Kid had to do what he did. This was as good as it gets for this genre.
From the movie : Against all odds
❤️
liberen a Kid Creole.
Jumps from HD to low def!
I think they pulled some imagery from when the band was in the background and blew it up to fill the screen.
BIC Razors x3 please
:O
No effing way, noooooo!!!!
All the dancers have "Standy-up" hair . . they must all have been scared by something at the same time !
The higher the hair, the closer to God.
this the best version ,
which lady was his wife ??
The one on the right . . i dated Bongo Eddy for a couple of years at their height ( Eddy Folk )
Adriana Kaegi, the lady on the right
The original coconuts are the best
FREE FOR KID CREOLE
The ladies were a little rough around the edges and wonderful.
because they didn't shave?

I've seen several of these videos and notice these girls don't shave their arm pits.
Good for them.
Wow. You noticed that. As the saying goes, "No shit, Sherlock."
Better call the hairy armpit police.. 😛 Ur name Karen?
Taylor Hackford knew was best♥️♥️♥️
I love this song, but who ever over-dubbed the outro with someone else voice, Kid Creole does not need your input.
...and Jeff Bridges remains unimpressed.
It's not HD all the way
True but who cares its awesome STILL
Thank you for pointing that out.
Looks like the bits from the 'Against All Odds' movie are the ones in HD here 🙂
Coati Mundi?
He had left by now . . then he came back for a while
Go head Kid... 3:42
It was half remastered
this remastering doesn't work.
So, why are the coconuts pixelated?

We all really really start dancing..quite frankly we take ourselves way to seriously
Who is the girl in the middle? And does she have instagram?
She's in her 60s now still want it ?
Anyone know who is the bass player? Thanks.
Carol Colman 🙂
@@mightyV444 Great, thanks. So many really good female bass players theses days, excellent!

FU** YeS Hair hahahahaaa thats so cool, can't do thèse sort of things now

Kid reminds me of a cross between Prince and Micahel Jackson. So totally brilliant!
Kid, did a great version of Prince's "The Sex Of It"!
