  • After a hard fought 22-16 victory over Indianapolis in the League Championship game, Bo Jackson and the Raiders (10-1) are one game away from capturing the Tecmo Bowl Championship. Can Bo cement his legacy as the greatest video game football player of all-time? Standing in his way -- one of the toughest defensive of all-time, the 1980's Chicago Bears.

Great childhood memories. When you tried to stop a Chicago kick off return: Most of the time, You and pretty much your entire special teams unit got laid out. And let's not even talk about what happens when you suffer a blitz. And, big play punt returns were non-existant.

Wow! That was really exciting to watch! I'm new to Tecmo Bowl, but I already knew about how unfair Bo Jackson was so of course I chose L.A. I did make it to the Tecmo Bowl championship after winning fairly easily against Miami for the League Championship before that and beating Dallas easily as well.
But like you I ended up facing Chicago in the Tecmo Bowl and I can't score on them. It's like they know exactly what plays I'm calling every time. And I know that their players can't actually be so damn fast normally. The programmers must have rigged them to be faster to increase the challenge.
I got my ass completely handed to me, but of course, like I said, I'm new to playing the game. After watching this I feel pretty inspired though. Whenever I call pass plays, I just try to watch where my recievers are going and kind of just have my QB sit there, but I noticed because you are moving your QB around, you're avoiding the sack a lot more. I need to do that.
I also noticed that instead of selecting the CB or Safety which is who I select, you select DE Howie Long every time and you've been quite successful on defense. I should try that too.
Thanks for your upload. I'm glad to see how to better play against Chicago. I hope I can beat them this time, but I think it's going to take quite a few tries considering I lost like 56-0. Embarrassing after beating Miami about 44-21 or so before though.

I like the Bears and The Giants. They both have some routes that are very difficult to cover, even when the play is pressed on defense. Bo Jackson is over-powered for sure in this game, but The Raiders are not unbeatable, imo.

Yeah, that’s why we had a rule that no one could play the Raiders. Between Jackson and Allen, they are unbeatable.

Except he did. He forced the defense to key on his play every time knowing that if you don’t he’ll run forever
