- I realized it's been a while since I played as Denver so I loaded up a season but decided to skip most of the season games and get right to the action. Ended up first seed in the playoffs and I'm playing against the Houston Oilers after their victory over the Dolphins 30-27. And as if the Oilers weren't good enough already on their own, I'm playing this at 1 o'clock in the morning. Makes for an interesting match, especially when Tecmo decides to play dirty. I call Shenanigans. The winner of this match will meet the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.

Houston's passing game was unreal
Especially when ur team playing them in the playoffs..cpu accuracy is unreal
6:18 I would never attempt a field goal from forty-seven yards away. You were close though Oilers. But that's just me whenever I play this masterpiece.
If Humphrey didn't get hurt you would have won by more. That INT to Richard Johnson on Shotgun pass 3 in the 3rd quarter was brutal. I've made that mistake rolling high when the back stops his route. You have to be careful.

I'm sorry, but I laughed HARD at the 10:30 mark when he went for it on 4th and 4 at the 5 and dude dropped a WIDE OPEN pass. Tecmo LOVED to cheat. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

At least in this game, Gary Kubiak is a bit more useful than John Elway (primarily because although Kubiak's passing speed is a hair lower, he has a little bit better pass control than Elway, which ups the chances of him [Kubiak] completing passes thrown into coverage.).

Broncos won 26-24 on a late FG by Treadwell. Here the Broncos win 17-14 on a late FG by Treadwell.
I'm just going off memory when I was a kid, but I watched just the first quarter as it was Houston 21-0 over Denver. I couldn't believe Denver came back and won when I checked the score later that night.

That game was trash. The Oilers should've kicked ass. The wide out at the bottom of the screen was open on every pass play. Ray Childress didnt put in no work on defense.
