I took some time snips and opened up the inner fender to actually fit the stock intake, it's about 50 percent smaller than it should be. Kept factory look increased air flow by 100

Performance Chip Revamp. Get this Module if you're looking for true gas mileage and power gain. I had one on my 2002 Ford Escape and it really did improve both. So i'm picking up one for my 2007 Trailblazer and then a cheap Amazon Intake kit, had to see if it was worth it though, thanks bud.

I just installed my second one in my Silverado. (Other was a Yukon) I only bolted the u-shape part of the box this time. Itâs still as sturdy. Last time i cutoff the plastic part of the hose from the stock intake that was on the maf. Only enough to cover the maf outlet. That seemed to help take up the gap as you mentioned on the maf. This time tho I did not do that. Just tightened it up very tight. Good video. Thanks.
I Just did mine and had a much easier install and near perfect fit with my Ram Gen 3 engine set up. My kit came with a rubber sleeve to fit over my throttle body. My Gen 3 throttle is 3" and the tube is 3.5".
Trouble many may be going to have, will be a dirtier throttle body after a few thousand miles. The K&N and Spectre come pre oiled. These knock off kits are dry. Unsure of the material of them, but whatever they are made from, it is less material and surface area than the flat throwaways we replaced. If anyone tries to oil it and the material doesn't adsorb the oil, the throttle is just going to suck it up probably damaging sensors?
I'm changing the filter, just can't pull the trigger for a $56 K&N will likely go with a $26 Spectre

Do you still have it on your truck? I have an 03 and it has 489,000 mi on it. The truck runs great when it's cold In the morning. But after it warms up i can tell a big difference in power loss. She's old and tired. I thought about trying one of these kits to get a little more air flow. If you still are using it , how is it holding up?. Can't beat the 4.8, 5.3 & 6.0 vortec engines. There the best engines gm. Ever built

Hey bud after having it for a while, what's your thoughts on it ? Were there any performance differences
It's louder on the throttle. Honestly it seems more responsive but could just be a placebo. In my opinion cold air intakes do very little without some type of exhaust. I've not seen any mpg gains and at first actually lost some. That's probably because the sound change and I pushed the throttle more. Over all for 57 bucks I can complain.
How difficult was it to take off the headlight mounting bracket to get the led lights in?
Just a few small screws.
So what exactly does the noise dampining do and what happenes if I donât use it?
Supposed to keep down vibration, as long as your clamps are tight you should be fine.
I talked with one mechanic guy.He told me so this filter save only mosquitoes and flies away..small dust coming to Engine and killed..
Don't forget June bugs. All of TV & video shows who test this shown 3% or less. It was easy to have gains, why doesn't the manufacturers install this new? Because it is annoying to listen to a throttle body suck air all day. Remove the resonance boxes and convoluted tubing simply interferes with emissions, noise and service shops who over oil the cotton filters and won't have one in stock! I be at grandmas in Western Texas, ship an air filter there! Right?

yeah it doesnt have the carb sticker like k&n just keep stock one and throw it back on or get the k&n

The intake tube is 4 inches so you'd need a filter that could fit that.

@@SpiritVerdad I purchased a 6 inch K&N filter for it and used the adapter piece that came with the original filter. Been running it like that for several months.

You not suppose to cut the weather stripping, it's goes around the pipe and on the flat so it seals against hood or close to it. But good job regardless đȘ

If you are using the old mass-air sensor on both ducts , how can one be better than the other...? You have the exact same restriction in both....! Waste of time & money..!
Lol tried buying it but unfortunately it canât be shipped to shitty California and Iâm sure itâs due to the smog bs. Since itâs not carb legal. Lol. Well guess Iâm paying $300 for k&n
