You have no idea how much I needed this after the week I had last week. Got back from a conference exhausted and stressed, then my mom had a heart attack Friday (she's alive btw), bridal shower for my sis on Sunday - now I'm back at work. I've had zero down time I'm stretched to my limit, I really really needed this.
Hope your mom gets better, and that you find some time to just relax. And congratz to your sister :)
I'm not sure an apology is needed for rants and rambles, Gopher. Podcasts are a thing for a reason; and these streams are two-for-ones. We get a podcast (sometimes two if the breaks go on long enough) AND we get some gameplay from various popular games. :)
A very rich snail slimed into a Cadillac dealership and said,"I want your most expensive car."
The salesman said,"Very well, sir. Is that all?"
The snail said,"No. I'd like it to have a custom paint job." The salesman said,"Yes, sir. What do you want the car to look like?"
The snail said,"I'd like every door painted
with a large letter S." The salesman said,"May I ask why,for reasons of curiosity?"
The snail said,"Because when I drive down the street,I want every single head to turn,and for them to all say: 'Look at that
S car go!'"
Wall of Fire completely solves one important encounter in this act, the one you are not getting in this playthrough :-)) As for switching spells and choosing spells - look at what you are not using and can't think of specific good use for, try to choose based on: what uses you have for things like concentration, what types of damage you might be lacking, what saving throws you can target with your control spells, what kinds of AoE you have available, what utility you find yourself wanting, those things
Another great episode! Thanks for the time you spend on this.
The Blood of Lathander is so awesome for this entire area. I don't think I ever unequipped that thing lol
Gopher (as an aside): Have you seen the upcoming Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II.
I cannot wait to play that. I really liked the first one a lot. That might be one that Gopher plays by himself, though. It's got so much creepy ambiance that doing it live on stream might remove some of the effect. (?)
After Lvl 6 I started multiclassing Wyll into Sword Bard and Fighter mostly because the warlock stuff was a bit underwhelming past that point. I think it’s just that Action Surge for fighter is really really good. A whole extra action once per long rest! Two eldritch blasts a turn is like having a machine gun
You may want to consider having Karlach use her bonus action for something other than Rage if you're going to forget to use her Enraged Throw half the time. Maybe she can drink a potion or poison her spear?
Also yay Jaheira! My 2nd favorite character who returns from the first 2 games.
She rarely needs a potion though.
He just instinctively nerfs her by forgetting to use all her attacks, she's way to OP otherwise 😂
Any know when gopher and chay co-op live streams will happen, like the son of the forest, etc
5 endings in fallout 4. There is a secret ending only instatute dead
Companions and their quests in Act 2. No actual spoilers below but I shield it in case you don't want even hints on who to take :-) Btw, rotating companions will not necessarily result in seeing all their stories, many of them are place and time dependent :-)
Wyll - pretty much nothing until after big point of no return, recommended to take with you to the last bit of Act 2 though;
Shadowheart - major development, keep with you all the time;
Lae'zel - pretty much nothing;
Astarion - personal quest progression, better keep at hand if you want it, but it's not major or essential;
Gale - personal quest progression after big point of no return, not breaking anything though if you don't;
Karlach - nothing major, some personal stuff;
Halsin - major story arc, oh well :-)
Minthara - major personal development, oh well :-)
Edit: nothing to see here gopher! probably spoily things ahead for you.
Aah... finally act 2, when the story picks up and the emotion starts to roll.... who wants to bet reg x marcus?? I bet marcus takes it
Nah I'm not betting against you. I very much think he will lose the Marcus fight, mostly due to overthinking. It's gonna be a massacre.
I don't think he loses it, might get some chaps killed but that's it
The thing there is the surprise factor, because of ykw and its boldness(or dumbness)
@@guilhermerenoldi8067 Yes, but when I think back to my first playthrough, I was there in need of long rest but still obliterated Marcus and gang, I was also playing on Balanced, not optimized, somewhat knew what I was doing at that point, but not really :-) Gopher has one really powerful character and at least two other good characters, his bard is less powerful the way he plays him but still ok, and he's going to be there with most of his resources intact, so I think he'll be ok in the end. I'm a bit worried for Izobel and Last Light only because it will be Reggie trying to save her 😂
@@alexmashkin863 eeeeexactly! That is my point, he can actually be stomped on, but on the other hand... a certain lady can change things pretty quickly because she thinks she is immortal
Pog pog pog 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Gopher's whole "I'm a contrarian" rant makes it sounds like he's the kind of guy to "do his own research" on whether or not the Earth is flat lmao /s
I'm actually not really a contrarian really. It's more that I am naturally curious and tend to be skeptical of claims made with certainty by people who's knowledge and experience in a subject seems to be no better (and possibly worse) than my own :) So if I scientist informs me that they've discovered a new particle, I'm not going to argue with him because I just lack the knowledge and experience to do so. But I'll keep my eyes open for what other scientists will say after they go off and check his work. But in the case of games, well I am 'another scientist' in this analogy, and thus I can run off and test the claim.
It should also be noted that a lot of these claims tend to occur within days of a games release (often by people who have not even finished the game), and for whatever reasons they become part of the group think because people read them before experiencing the game much themselves. They believe the claim, and play around it, further reinforcing their belief in the claim as they play. Now because I tend to avoid discussions of games until I have personally finished the game, I end up having my own opinions by the time I am exposed to the others. Now sometimes the claim turns out to be true, and it's just that I missed it when I played. Other times, the claims are false because the claimer missed something. The problem is that whoever publicly makes a claim about something first sets the group think in motion.
Unfortunately this seems to be true outside of the gaming industry too. Beware the words "breaking news".
@@GophersVids Never form opinions based on headlines 😂👍 Or any press in general...
@@GophersVids So more of a "dribbling news" kind of guy :P
