Anything involving toxin
Wow, magnetic must have been so powerful that it caused blacky to skip it in order to avoid DE giving it a super nerf. Well played blacky, your doing the community and it's tennos justice.
Hahaha you're getting it! Thanks to me we will still be able to abuse the brokenness of this element wich is totally useful and was definitely not left out because it gets outclassed by Toxin xD
@@MHBlacky_ENG “gets out classes by toxin” XD
@@RedPhoenix5606 ""gets out classes by toxin xD""
It would be nice but if I start shooting a enemy most likely they die before they can do anything to other enemys

Love seeing the new generation of Warframe tubers guiding new players
This is one of the communities of all time
Yeah I agree. Love being part of this community! ❤️
Thank you for your kind words ^^
I wasn't planning to sub but then I saw this. I'm a returning player and catching up on all these mechanics I didn't understand before (I mean I was a teen back then) is super frustrating with only the years-old content. Thank you to the content creators for keeping the basics' guides up-to-date.
Edit: Though I was curious about Magnetic, and sad it wasn't included. I'm struggling with taking down Sister's Hounds shields and was hoping that would help. Also, so timestamps or sections would be very helpful!!
What if i just use the element of surprise
Good one
Xd 😂
The Ether Blades give a 900% stealth bonus so I'd say that's pretty darn good!
I've always loved Radiation. It might not be the biggest hitter in terms of damage but enemies attacking each other instead of me has always been nice.
Yeah I totally see that :D I have Radiation on my Epitaph and I really love the chaos this causes xD
@@MHBlacky_ENG that's also basically what nyx's chaos ability does, so using that word fits well.
I remember back about a year after damage 2.0 was released, during the Cicero Crisis and Cryotic frontier, when Element+Status mods were released and Void Defense and Void Survival were absolute lategame, you were absolutely dependent upon someone running a high status chance radiation weapon, to take care of heavy gunners, ballistas and bombards. Just shooting and killing them wasn‘t really feasible, for heavy gunners in particular.
turns every mission into a crossfire mission
As much as I appreciate the magnetic bad joke, if you're going to make an informative video about introducing things to a new player, don't skip something just because you think it's bad and it's funny to laugh at. Newer players will just see this, be confused, then get irritated that they had to search up what something does because the guy in the introductory video they watched felt like having a laugh.
Agreed
Am new player. Can confirm I have more research to do. I'm just now starting to transition from slapping on whatever few mods I have to actually trying to figure out what element to put on my mods. Enemies I face are weak enough that I can't really benefit from stacking Viral on enemies, but my kill times are inconsistent so I want to figure out what to change.
@@Tera_GX The inconsistent kill times is likely due to enemies having different damage resistances to different elements, like Corpus shields being resistant to heat and Grineer armour being resistant to electricity. Overall, modding for base damage and heat would probably be your best move overall, since heat strips armour and is good against pretty much anything. Modding for viral isn't that bad of an idea either, since the damage type itself is very good against flesh and the majority of enemies do have biological flesh.
I Agree, Altough Magnetic Is Outclassed By Other Elements It Is Worth Noting That Magnetic Can Still Be Used As A Primer And For Certain Mods And Arcanes. Also Magnetic Is Very Disruptive To Warframes, It Causes The Screen To Flicker Making It Hard To See The Hud And Draining Energy From The Player.
I run Gas against corpus and it works 🤡
Also for those who ask themselves why : Magnetic is solely good against shields ; The reason for why it is considered bad is : It has a 50% reduction against grineer armor and there are far better choices to deal with Corpus/Infested ; However it is still good against the Sisters Of Parvos (wich is basically pre-steel-path end-game if i understand it right) because Toxin does not work against them
I typically just run Viral + Slash or Viral + Heat + Slash against everything, because it does the best across everything and I don't have time to swap from one mod config to another.
In this case, where you're all-in-one-ing your weapon, this combo is probably the best, yes ;)
Wait, no time to swap? And I thought Swapping mods following situations is essential and the most fun part in this game @.@
I would like to point out that you missed a elemental combo, slash+viral gives every faction the elemental taste of instantaneous death
Viral+Slash+Heat kills so fast.
hunter munitions ignis wraith goes brrrrrr
Not anymore! 😅
Until like lvl 150 steel path where it takes ages to take down armored opponents. Get corrosive and damage instead.

Yet another golden video from the best Warframetuber. Imho every tutorial video you do is a proverbial goldmine of information. I said it before on another video but I’ll say it again, your videos are short and easy to understand for new players. I find myself rewatching these just when I forget something about something in warframe.
Please keep up the good work my dude.
You sir, earned a sub from me. I haven't found a proper guide in the past which led to me quitting about 2 years ago because I couldn't progress. But thanks to you, I found the life in this game again. HUGE Thank You for what you do!💯
Aaaw a huge thanks to you for the kind feedback and welcome to the crew! ❤️Glad I could help you get back into the game ^^
I have like 700 hours in Warframe but always took long breaks in between. I just came back to the game recently and forgot a lot of important information + didn't keep up with the changes. Your videos have been insanely helpful to get me back on track ASAP. Amazing job! 🎉
I just played starting 2days ago, this videos help me so much in progressing and having damage, keep up the good work :D
This helps a lot! Understanding the elements and combinations makes me feel smarter as a Lavos main.
Junge ich bin so froh für dich das du deinen Weg auf YT gefunden hast 💪 Sooo verdient. Der Umstieg auf englisch war so wichtig und richtig :D
A lot of times I lean towards Gas over a lot of the other elements because I like using grouping abilities to bundle enemies into a ball. And spawning tons of Gas clouds on top of a dense of ball of enemies is really satisfying to watch.
Yes but have you ever shot that bundle with a multishot tonkor and redcrits? Fireworks 🎉
I wouldn't say radiation is only good against armored corpus enemies. Every single grineer boss has alloy armor along side other really tanky grineer troops like napalms, bombards and noxes. Sure, in regular missions you are probably better off with corrosive against grineer, but I think you could have mentioned that all grineer bosses hate that one element.
The most informational Warframe CZcamsr 👑
A good and not too long summary about the elements 🙂
I wouldn't have said that corpus and grineer use different types of armor because grineer also use "corpus armor"/ bombards ie.
You should have added:
Elements which gain a bonus against armor like corrosive against "grineer armor" (only ferrite armor) penetrate this type of armor in addition to dealing extra damage = that means enemies have less armor to that type of element AND receive more dmg.
Armor reduction from elements is multiplicatively. (heat + max corrosive = 10% armor left)
Heats armor reduction needs to ramp up to 50% and isn't instantaneously.
Magnetic missing :,(
I should add he missed another point about heat. Unlike other elements that do damage over time (toxin, slash, or electric for example), when applying a new heat proc, all previously active heat procs refresh their timers and the damage just continues to stack with each new heat proc. This means that unlike the other elements that can only achieve a certain level of consistent damage due to previous stacks falling off, heat can just continue to ramp up its damage to a point where nothing can no longer survive a single tick. This is made even more ridiculous when combined with viral btw.
You honestly helped me a bunch ive been struggling trying to know what elements does good damge
Glad I could help ^^
Now you know which elements to pick against which enemy faction ;)
I personally use a Cedo with a combo of viral, heat, and slash. I don't need to change the config everytime I face a different enemy type, as it works on everything quite nicely. Even when I'm not using the Cedo, my weapons are almost always viral + heat.
Third video in. I learned so much more.
You earned a sub.
Aaaaw thank you so much for the lovely compliment ❤️ And welcome to the crew:D
That intro was brilliant. I'm shoving this video into a bunch of friend's discords in case it hooks them.
Aaaw thank you so much for the awesome compliment and your support ❤️ Really glad you enjoyed it that much ^^
Corrosive is my go to since armoured enemies usually cause me the most trouble. Great video. 👍
Thank you for the compliment ❤️
I also love Corrosive. Usually I don't play beyond lvl 300 so with the right weapon I don't even always need a full armor strip. And the fat +75% vs Ferrite Armor is really sweet ^^
Corrosive damage has been king since day 1, old meta for me used to be Primary Viral and Melee Corrosive for a very entertaining combo
Helpful video as always
Big thank you! ❤️
Hey Blacky, would you please make a video talking about the warframe lore NOT in chronological order but in the order the game gives, so that returning players can pick up where they left off? I searched all of the internet and nobody has made this happen. You seem like a very invested person who is willing to put a lot of effort for their viewers. I truly respect that and i love ur dedication towards your content. The "must have mods" truly showed how much time you sacrifice for us. Chapeaux bas fr. But this video idea, im pretty sure it will be very beneficial for both the community and your channel. The reason i believe we all need this is because a lot of players were stuck outside of the game when support for directX 10 was dropped, me being one of those ppl. So here i am, 2 years later, coming back to the game i put so many hours into, and i forgot everything. All i remember is the lotus, and "SLAY THE ENEMIES!!!" And its almost impossible to find a lore video that's free of spoilers. So how about you make this video between 30-60 mins, maybe 100 mins tops, and cover the story from the start of the game until we start to reach the deep spoilers like idk the war within? The second dream? Idk where it really starts tbh im still doing sands of inaros 🤣 anyways love u man, goodluck and please consider this video!🤘
Using corrosive/heat status negates the worry of overstripping, and is hella strong
I love that you just passed over my favorite element, magnetic, lol. I always use it cuz I hate shield enemies, but I'm still basically a noob because I'm only mastery rank 9 and don't have a single prime warframe or weapon. So, now I'm switching it to viral. I wish you could have a weapon with both viral and toxic, tho.
I've been jumping into Warframe in and out for so many years, it's been a long time since I checked my mods, I'm still running the old radiation - magnetic - corrosive loadouts, time to update all this mess. Thanks for the video.
Glad I could help ^^ Thank you for the nice feedback and much success with the mods ❤️
I need that nataruk build it's putting in work frl
I put viral on ma drone then use toxin and corrosive on my primary and melee, got electric and radiation on my secondary rn and decent crit/status chances, honestly I'm doing pretty good for mr9 (my melee has done up to 300000 damage) but these guides are still really helping me! I'm going for as versatile as pos 😂😅. Def need a new atlas guide for archon hunting tho
Everyone misses this bit about cold. Cold/frozen enemies you do increased crits to. I use on my damage bane builds because it makes crits juicer.
Cross save feels so Gooooood 🎉
I wanna cry as soon as you said the names of the elements type
I think Puncture should do an Armor Reduction status instead of Weakened state. You Puncture the Armor of the enemy making it less effective, why is it decreasing the damage of the enemy? Also Slash is too OP, dealing True Damage and bypassing Armor. I hope DE in future revisits Status again or give enemies some kind of Status Resistance instead of just tweaking there Armor values. There's a lot of Primary Weapons, but most of the builds boils down to Viral - Slash and Hunter Munitions combination.
I agree you on the puncture. One of the elemental damages should weaken or make a completely new physical damage. Blast should probably weaken because that is probably the worst combo element
I think it would be cool if puncture ignored a percent of armour
@@flashtiger15 Puncture damage does, though its status effect is useless. Any damage type with a bonus against armor also mitigates the same percentage of armor which is why Radiation is mandatory against status immune bosses with Alloy armor.
Damage=(1+Health Modifier)*(1+Armor Modifier)*(1-Damage Reduction)
Damage Reduction = Armor*(1-Armor Modifier)/[Armor*(1-Armor Modifier)+300]
Slash damage is mediocre, but Slash status effect is arguably the best, though nowadays with how many things can instantly strip armor in an AOE (Terrify, Unairu), its more QoL, while damage types with actual bonuses against armor are subpar unless the boss had arbitrary immunity. Same case with some enemies immune to Viral procs.
@@mightza3781 Yes! Deimos enemies being if I can remember this correctly immune to Viral procs - AFAIK Heat and Corrosive is the best setup for Deimos enemies. Slash Status (Bleeding) is OP. Why is it taking the entire damage values instead of only the Slash damage, unless this has been changed?
slash makes enough sense, why would bleeding account for armor, i think every element should be as desirable as slash
nice im new so this helps alot
Hey! I was wondering what cosmetics did you use at your 2:50 set? Awesome video!
Brother what about magnetic 💀 why so much hate
Nice guide!
Thank you!
additional info, iirc, radiation also deals damage against alloy armor, which is the armor of grineer heavy units, compared to its light units that use ferrite armor (weak against corrosive).
Corrosive do bonus dmg too against alloy armor, but only 25%, but radiation on the other hand deals 75% bonus damage against alloy if i'm not wrong
Back in the days i had an amprex explosive build its was just nuts for crowd control but it has been nerf indirectly just imagine like 50 mobs on the ground waiting to die with the obex augment its was stupid good
for corpus I tend to mix magnetic and toxic so you can kill both the robotic unit and fleshy corpus
I have like 2600 hours in this game and for some reason, I always thought that if you combined a slash proc with a viral proc, the enemies would get diseased, or at least the slash proc would deal more damage. I never tested it, but it just made sense.
OMG! i was just thinking about how great it would be if someone explain how status types works.
This is very helpful
Happy to hear that I could help ;)
Hey, really nice with the guide. But can i know your excalibur umbra fashion frame? i really love your frame
Gas damage can also hit "heads shots" for weapons where that's relevant.
I miss the old days of stealth gas, but this new blast armor stripping is great. Especially after the catastrophic corrosive nerf. RIP POX.
It's dmg type and status effect that are diffrent not status chance
Also I feel like magnetic procs should make sense like make enemy's slowly be pulled towards each other
You deserve millions of subscribers
Aaaaw thank you a lot for the lovely compliment ❤️
Millions with Warframe is probablynot gonna happen xD But I'm always happy to help and let's see where the journey goes ^^
The number of elements and statuses in WF reminds me of Honkai: impact 3rd's system which includes character and enemy typing (psy, mecha, bio + quantum, and imaginary) and 4 base elements: fire, lightning, ice, and physical, (each applying their own trauma build-up, namely, ignite, rime, paralyze, and bleed respectively) which then contribute to ailments like bleed, ignite, weaken, paralyze, float, impair, time lock and time slow, slow, and freeze which act as either buffs or debuffs to boost characters and damage each in their own regard. Not to mention different "aspects" enemies are vulnerable to like fast attacks, shieldbreak, and heavy attacks.
Hey, love the vids as a returning player. Have you got a playlist for the music you use in your videos? I always find myself getting distracted and listening to the tunes instead of you 😅
Ooooh maybe that's the reason so many people ask me in the comments about stuff I explained in the same video... Gotta change that music xD
Right now I don't have one but I might make one in the future ;)
I mostly use stuff from an artist called Slynk. You can find some of his stuff in the free CZcams audio library.
The rest is from epidemicdound. Hip-Hop / Lofi ;)
There is also the complicated True Damage type. But it's a headache to explain and best left unmentioned to newer players. Depending on the enemy a player should use a 'primer' weapon (usually a secondary like Atmos, Nukor or Kuva Nukor with boosted range and status duration), and then switch back to the primary modded with a faction mod, crit chance, crit damage and whatever else tickles your fancy
Question: Is it worth it to use faction mod if I have a riven mod with better faction dmg %? For example my current Astilla riven: 193% Damage, 60,5% damage to grineer. Should I skip faction mod and point blank?
@@hekev Good question. If you're looking to min/max then, in all honesty, I'm not the person to ask. However, if you're the type who doesn't get anal over those details then I'd say riven and a galvanised mod is enough damage. But riven should never be relied on as Cephalon Deus is a thing. There is also player usage which can tank a riven's stats. If you get the chance, buy the primed faction mod as a backup
Damn I love your vids, shame that I only discovered you now.
I remember the old days when I put corrosive + fire for Grineer and infested and magnetic + toxin for Corpus 😄
Glad you like my stuff! Thank you for the nice compliment
@@MHBlacky_ENG Yeah in my early days I didn't realize that magnetic was "meh" and then I switched to radiation + toxin.
The MIGHTY SEER has its own element, the element of faith. The more you believe in it the more powerful it becomes
Thought that was on the Stug :P
@@MHBlacky_ENG It's a fine weapon but the MIGHTY SEER is superior
A video that i would like to see as a new player is what mods to upgrade or just generally what mods are the best
Hey, I already have a vid with the most important mods. I uploaded that sometime in October 22 I think. About what to look out for when modding, I have something planned in the near future ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG thanks 😊 i just recently subscribed so I didn’t see that
A slight correction, that might have gone under in all that info: viral doubles dmg only against health, making it worse against shielded enemies like corpus. It's still good, even then thoo.
You failed to mention that gas actually is super strong when paired up with corpus do to its gas cloud effect after an enemy dies with it
viral + slash and usually radiation ,heat
Or u just pick phenmor (status build) or laethum (crit build) then go to headshot and then let the all hell break loose.
Just got back into the game after 4 years and man nothing has changed on the damage type front lol
I already watched this 4 times yet here i am again 😂😂😂
If i could i would fix explosive damage by making it a buffer for other types of damage for example:
Enemies affected by explosive damage get the duration of other status effects multiplied
hey blacky! at 2:50 , which syandana are you using on your excalibur umbra?
Hey shock damage also damages nearby enemies. An amprex with slash fire gas and slash anything that you look at discovers new ways to die
That intro killed me XD
Vial + heat is my normal go to status. Shreds absolutely everything except a few corpus. I do enjoy radiation however it works against everything imo
Viral + heat is insane. I like to throw slash in there too for that nice added true DoT.
can you make a vid about companion loadouts bc I have no Idea what mods to put on them and which once are good
While I know magnetic may not be the best I like to use it on my ferrox if I’m playing a strong Melee weapon against the corpus,it ccs enemies and let’s me set a convenient blood rush combo to nuke a lot of enemies around me.
use Saryn with nourish on her 4th ability and the venom dose augment. Now you have corrosive damage, toxin damage, and viral damage applied to your weapon just by abilities 👍
Slash is so good that I turned all my weapon into a cutting edge technology
Even a papercut can kill those that are a cut above the rest
You forgot to mention there're plenty of enemies that are immune to toxin bypassing shield, for example, the corpus coin carrier, lich, peofit taker, exploiter.
For impact, for nowadays eximus more hard than before, remove the over shield and parazon them when they 90% heatlh is a life saver
Still to 1 Vs 1 is need a good strategy, cc around mob and focus to eximus, zenurik focus 2 is make easy headshot
The player can deal tau damage type with baruuk and their augment mod for deserts wind.
No I dont think so
You forgot to mention that radiation is strong against grinner alloy armor which encompasses a number of units and even is good on a lot of bosses.
Yeah I know, the Bombards run Alloy Armor. But are there any other significant Grineer Units whi have it? I personally think going Alloy against Grineer just because of the occasional Bombard isn't really worth it. That's why I left it out ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG I know that Elite Lancers and Eviscerator use alloy armor.
What I got was heat slash viral and radiation
I dont do steel path, i typically just run viral on everything
Corrosive or heat is always the sweet spot for me
I see, Grineer don't like you, huh? :P
Your subcriber count is criminally low for how well made these videos are!
You should do a second video. DE has redone several status
Magnificent
A slash based weapon with heat viral for most enemies is kinda brutal and switch to a gas weapon for corpus and radiation for sentient
Have you ever tried outsourcing the Viral+Heat to your Secondary to focus your Primary only on Slash? I think this could bump up your damage output even more ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG I have but the casual in me demands that I pick the mediocrity
Grineer 10:38
low level: corrosive
high level: heat and slash
Corpus 12:34
toxin, bypass shields
radiation for robotic health bar
Infested 14:10
Gas or heat
A few things.
Blast *can* be good, as it deals good AoE damage, only downsides is the resistances and self damage if you shoot to close to yourself.
Gas however, even with the procs the damage output of it, is never good, since it never, ever scale. It used to be super good but then DE saw people running Defense Unending, with Torid, and they blasted the Gas Proc to hell, and never thought about "balancing" it.
Corrosive; Current version of Corrosive, with 10 procs, will reduce enemy armour by 82% for 6 seconds. With Corrosive Projection on one person, then no more armour for them enemies. My favourite element.
Magnetic, good against very few shields from Corpus, pretty bad in every other aspect. Its proc if memory serves, just reduces the max shield of the procced target.
Radiation is also good against certain Grineer enemies (like the Heavy Gunners).
Now Viral, which has always been in the "God Tier" and "Shit tier" argument.
Here is the problem: Old version reduced the enemies hp by 50% for 6 seconds. Current version makes you do more damage (Yay), but that damage gets also mitigated by Armour, so if you don't have a way to remove it, then sooner or later, you will see these 3s and 1s in damage output. This is why people match it with Heat, because of that 50% armour reduction, but again, if the Armour keeps on growing, so does the mitigation. This is why I recommend getting a Primer to stack the Viral + Heat then use a weapon with Corrosive to keep on reducing that Armour. This way both Viral and Corrosive work together, to make each enemy a lot weaker.
Viral/Slash everywhere but Deimos. Yw.
corrosive easily has the most practical use. viral is definitely BETTER for raw damage though. i still prefer corrosive and will probably use it for most of my frames
I once added viral onto an explosive weapon and suddenly I became a follower of nurgle
I came here to find out if armor helps out against raw toxin dmg. Then you skipped magnetic damage as a whole x') . I would love to see you explain what taking these damage types means as well.
and then theres the treasurer whose shield cannot be bypass with toxin so unless u have magnetic or shield removal it is nigh impossible to kill him in steel path
you're wrong pal, corrosive is good for super high endgame, due to some armors being weak against it, also combining corrosive with heat to reduce and increase damage against grineer
magnetic is actually really good since it's almost required for corpus on super endgame
Im new and im still learning, whats a good element for let's say all around use, like i can use it to clear any content, does'nt have to be op, just needs to be versatile
I love viral because I use it with Grendel and call it the great unclean one build
Hahaha that's a great name, gotta be honest xD
Hear me out if you start steel path corpus then magnetic xoris absolutely oneshots cormpus mostly depend on their massiv shields and magnet deledes shields in millisecends
Does the heat and corrosive status effect stack
I'm halfway the video so maybe you'll explain ltater, but how does auto mod choose your status mods?
That's a very good question... I have no idea to be honest, sorry xD
If you're having trouble with modding then you might like my video "You're weak in Warframe? WATCH THIS!" In this I explain the entire system so you know how to build your equipment yourself ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG No problem, my theory is that it might decide the status mod based on the last faction you fought against, but I haven't tested it properly haha,
I already saw that video, which made a lot of things more clear, so thanks for that, but I still use auto mod most of the time xD
Got it, bring magnetic against corpus
Nah toxin is better just ignore shields magnetic is meh and needs to be buffed
Boy will i need a lot more time to wrap my head around any of this. Getting a build to work to begin with is difficult enough (especially if you don't want blatant "do exactly this" stuff). But man, i already struggled with genshin for the first 60+ hours and that game is way easier. since my only struggle in that game was hoarding bursts. Give me another 300 hours and maybe I'll start to get it.
Yeah I totally understand you! Warframe doesn't explain itself well. If you want to know how the entire modding system works, you might find my video "You're weak in Warframe? WATCH THIS!" helpful. It tries to explain all the complicated stuff while giving some ideas on what to look out for while modding. I'm sure you'll get there ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG Got any helpful videos on the main channel? if i remember correctly this is just some of the more helpful videos translated (which probably means a lot of videos might still be missing). I sometimes forget german is a language i do in fact speak. And I'll definitely go watch the how to get stronger one. Still gonna take a little bit of bashing my head through a wall knowing me, but with every watch something's gotta stick right?
so best way to deal with grineer is corrosive and subsume nourish
Viral plus beam weopon equals you become a follower of nurgle
if my weapon is Radiation + Viral and I use hydroid can it proc the corrosive stack too?
Quick question, does elemental heat damage automatically ignore armor, or just the status effect, and just to clarify, when an enemy is effected by the heat status effect, any other types of damage also damage them as if they had 50% armor?
Only the heat damage over time ticks ignore armor. The initial hits are still reduced by the enemy armor. Also yes, while an enemy is burning, their armor will be reduced to half towards everything ;)
