    Thanks for this. I am transitioning from my trusty 172, and I am between the SR22 and a DA40 as my next plane. This is very helpful!

      I'm really sorry to say it, but they're all full of inaccuracies, they really are! Like in the Pipistrel video, where he refers to the very latest Rotax iS engine as an "old school engine", and the Garmin G3 as "old school avionics". This is in a Pipistrel plane that was only certified in 2015! .....Then there's the advice in this video that "you don't worry about landing lights unless you're landing, or it's at night"....absolute nonsense; all GA (non-LSA) aircraft must have landing lights fitted, and they must be used for all take-offs and landings, to increase the visibility of your plane to other pilots alreasy in the sky. The only a/c categories where landing lights are optional are LSAs and Part 103 Ultralights.....and the SR22 is neither! I don't mind that the guy is a gamer and just having fun, but he pretends to have knowledge and authority that he just doesn't have.

    As mentioned in the video, there's a turbo charged version of the SR22. But as far as I know, there is no pressurised version of it.
    Another weird thing about this particular version of the SR22 in MSFS 2020: It doesn't exist in real life, at least from what I'm aware of. The interior (seats and analog backup gauges) seam to belong to the G3 SR22. The problem is that the G3 wasn't still equipped with the G1000 (Avidyne instead). The G1000, if I recall it well, came with the G4 along with new bigger seats and digital backup gauges.
    Fun video to watch, thanks for uploading 👍

    Lol they are not called Landing Lights because you only have to use them when landing 😂. Generally in GA you always have them on when in the terminal area regardless (to make you more visible to other a/c), and for us in the P-3 Orion they were on whenever we were below 10,000'. General rule is cleared for T/O - LDG LGHT goes ON!, clear the runway after landing and they come off again.

    Is there a mod for the G1000 to have the compass on top of the plane symbol? I feel like that would help out a lot when trying to figure out a heading.

    I just can't get my head around why someone would want to elongate the word "autopilot" to "automatic pilot". Seriously, no-one in real world aviation ever calls an AP an "automatic pilot". They probably called the first Sperry devices in 1933 by that explanatory name, but for at least the last 70 years, it's just an autopilot!

  • @brfts2001
    @brfts2001 Před 3 lety

    The fuel consumption for this aircraft is completely inaccurate. I ran out of gas after taking off with a full tank on a 500nm flight leg with 65-70% power settings.
