Hi Mark I have problem with my speedfight 100 rear brake. lever was going all the way to the handle bar, so changed fluid and bled system. no air in there. Problem is there is still no pressure and pistons that arent stuck dont move, feels like there is no pressure. Fluid comes out if I open bleed valve with no air bubbles. Can you help. Thanks Rob
this is common and i've had it a few times it may need replacing but try first by taking off off and turn upside down and tap it on some wood a few times then refill and do it over , or fill and tie up the handle over night to get any air out and pump
@@marksavage Thank you for replying, which part woul i turn upside down. The caliper. I took a caliper of my second speedfight but had same result. l suppose must be air in the system somewhere. Hey, i redid the shocks and put on new tire rubber and brake pads. The pads seem to grind a bit on the disk but the wheel turned ok until i went to move the bike it won't go anywhere. I assume then its a brake caliper problem on my majesty 400 scooter? Thanks! From a gal who works in her own stuff as much as possible:)
Take off and start again Did you take pictures of it before removing, Always helpful Take off and re line where it goes Check piston on calipers work and that you took the cap off the pot as it could now be too full ! It may only need a bit of fluid taking out! Or just need to be push back more , cleaned up and re set
Hey Mark i have an issue with my aerox. A few weeks ago i have noticed that it pulls very badly on hills. It used to handle steep hills very well going 40+ mph and now unless im going fast before going up the hill then i cant go any faster than 20mph, even on very small inclines until i reach 35 mph and it flies like a rocket. On flats it accelerates very quickly especially when it gets past 35 mph. I thought this was an issue with the carb so i cleaned it fully but it hasn't done much. I also replaced the rollers which were quite worn but this didnt help either when it comes to hills. Could this be a belt issue? My belt looked fine but thats all i can think of. Cheers
Max Lock well you did the first two things I'd check so well done , spark plug and air filter next and yes was the belt tight ? , if it was ok. Now not then it can only be there's few things and last piston ! When the start to go or rings get worn they don't hold compression and lose it under pressure ! , thanks for watching I do have a few other videos on aeroxs that may help please like share and subscribe , mark
i've had a spark plug fail in the same day before bud, have you check if the plug/ht lead are getting wet ? this will mess around with the bike as well. really yu would need a compression test kit or take off the head and have a look at the piston. yes it's a bit of work but the only really way of looking at it !!. mark
hello mark great videos again ! got a question thats dementing me bike will not go (suzuki van van) cleaned carb and new spark plug getting spark seems like theres compression only done 2300 miles try spraying wee bit carb cleaner in air box n down plug hole valve cap adjusted but will not even catch . ran two weeks ago .cheers antony
hi bud thanks for watching ok carb cleaner is only for the carb and when you service it so take it off as in my videos and clean it as the basics are all the same. if you can clean / wash or change filter as well. do not spray carb cleaner in the head!!. clean or change plug. but leave plug out for a bit so to empty the head of what ever is left in there. maybe after that if still no joy with starting get some easy start and try that in the air box. also check oil level make sure that ok. mark

@mark savage hi mark I desperately need your advice my son has a aerox and the disk is rubbing on his calliper its a new disk new calliper new pads new shockers. Any idea mate I checked everything with diagrams there is nothing missing it is just touching the calliper nearest the shock.
simple 1st is it for your aerox model ? take it off and compare it to the old disc and calliper make sure it was on correctly and the pads are in right wheel spacer in the right way ? ive done this and had them wrong lol
@@marksavage hi Mark the disc and calliper are correct. You know the speedo it had a metal spacer sticking out. Should that go inside the wheel as mine sits flush on the wheel and the speedo plastic has a gap between that and the wheel that would adjust it. its definitely a spacing issue though but just check and they are also correct the lad said when he changed wheel etc he was left with 2 thin copper washers but I looked on aerox 2013 wheel diagram on net and I don't see any washers just spacers it's driving me mad as its unsafe to use. that's for the comment and watching my videos, as for the gy6 engines , I find they run or just don't !!sorry to say normally they run low on oil and seize or yes the valve or chain jam or free up and kill the engineI've just changed the engine as they are cheap and easy to get, as you have paid out £200 all ready I guess you have to keep going, so you have petrol and plug is getting wet - cleaned carb and changed plug . have you put your hand over the carb when turning over as in my other videos? how many miles has it done? piston and valves is all it could be after that and opening that up remember to keep hold of the chain with some wire, don't let it fall down!!good luck bud and take care. mark
when you take off the caliper and open it up to free up of change the pads after cleaning it it should just fit back on as you have opened it up fully once bolted back on press the lever and it will tighten back up the pads and all should be ok but do re check the brake fluid

Hi Mark, sorry. i was going to reply on my original post but couldn't find it. here is the issue, my rear wheel on my 50cc ped seems constantly engaged. if the moped dies and wont start again by electric start, i push it over to the curb but as i push the bike over to the curb its like pushing a tank. its very hard and the rear wheel locks up ! if i wait in traffic or come to a stop the bike will die, if i go to start it again( electric start), it starts and moves but then goes along happy. if i leave the bike running and without applying throttle, i can walk the bike round the garden pretty much under its own steam, surely this shouldn't happen ? i should have to apply throttle ? if you leave the bike to idle, not high at all seem normal, the rear wheel moves. it seems to be pretty much constantly in gear( when its 50cc moped) What i have diagnosed so far: 1: if you take the belt off the bike, the rear wheel moves freely and you can push it fine 2: cleaned the rollers, noticed some flat spots. Could this be the issue ? 3. with everything connected, the variator, clutch and belt. but no clutch bell, the bike pushs fine. Any ideas, could it be the flat spots, i did notice that the plates on the clutch do have some dips and gouges taken out of them . As always you help is much appriecated Mark
mastercreative1 so maybe not the brakes then I had this on a speedfight. As on a video on here and it was the clutch jamming once warm!! Sort out the rollers but as in my moped the clutch was damaging the rollers so guess it’s your problem too ! Change that as I tried cleaning it and wd40 and it worked for a few miles but once warm jammed up again ! So I’d got for that bud Mark

Did you fix problem ?course it's been almost two yrs I thought mabey wasn't on tight or if your spacer was upside down meaning tapered side down and possible missing gasket. Hehehe.
By changing the exhaust. You upjet the carb. Use lighter rollers and use a white contra spring....
Hi im 16 and I brought a Yamaha aerox to get me to collage but there was a few problems with it but we sorted most of then but it won't fire up it goes to but won't go im a dissent lad I haven't done any mods to it i just want it sorted and I've watch all your vids on Yamaha but I dont know what's up with is can you help
hi budyes I do have a few aerox videos so if you have watched them lets start with the basics changed plug, cleaned air filter, cleaned carb properly, you have spark as test in my videos, you have a wet plug so fuel is getting in , carb test so wet hand as in my test video.is it water or air cooled check piston??hope that lot help please like share and subscribe and get back to me aftermark
So not for STUCK brakes then?
If they are stuck then they will have to off as pistons are Jammed
Lever back the pads take off and service
@@marksavage im on it, i was just hoping your vid had a tip 😉
Hi Mark, sorry me again. My 50cc moped suffers from from the rear disc brake sticking but only sometimes and when it sticks the exhaust gets over hottttt. the Suzuki katana 50cc, think it’s like the Yamaha’s aeroxs etc... does this mean that I need to take the exhaust, wheel off to have a look ?
Cheers ;)
hi bud
No but get it sorted as the brake is jamming on you are pushing the bike harder that's why its getting hot !!, best buy new pads as they old ones will have been worn down and take off the caliper like in my videos and free it up and clean it .
bleed all of the old fluid out too and put new in bleed it and test it all ok, make sure you have now damaged the disk as well
its a job you need to do asap bud
hope that help, please like and sub and I have a few other brake videos that may help as they are all the same really
mark
Hi Mark, sorry.
i was going to reply on my original post but couldn't find it. here is the issue, my rear wheel on my 50cc ped seems constantly engaged. if the moped dies and wont start again by electric start, i push it over to the curb but as i push the bike over to the curb its like pushing a tank. its very hard and the rear wheel locks up !
if i wait in traffic or come to a stop the bike will die, if i go to start it again( electric start), it starts and moves but then goes along happy. if i leave the bike running and without applying throttle, i can walk the bike round the garden pretty much under its own steam, surely this shouldn't happen ? i should have to apply throttle ? if you leave the bike to idle, not high at all seem normal, the rear wheel moves. it seems to be pretty much constantly in gear( when its 50cc moped)
What i have diagnosed so far:
1: if you take the belt off the bike, the rear wheel moves freely and you can push it fine
2: cleaned the rollers, noticed some flat spots. Could this be the issue ?
3. with everything connected, the variator, clutch and belt. but no clutch bell, the bike pushs fine.
Any ideas, could it be the flat spots, i did notice that the plates on the clutch do have some dips and gouges taken out of them .
As always you help is much appriecated
Mark
mastercreative1 so maybe not the brakes then
I had this on a speedfight. As on a video on here and it was the clutch jamming once warm!!
Sort out the rollers but as in my moped the clutch was damaging the rollers so guess it’s your problem too !
Change that as I tried cleaning it and wd40 and it worked for a few miles but once warm jammed up again !
So I’d got for that bud
Mark
so you reckon change both, the damaged clutch and the flat spotted rollers ? or just the rollers ? ill have a look for that video as well
mastercreative1 defo both bud
The rollers would have to be any way as they are no good now !
Mark
Hello mate do you have any video's on Yamaha aerox front forks

ohh and i forgot its a peugeot speedfight 2 year 2002 and its liquid cooled
I would guess it could the stator coil as they can go to earth when it gets warm/ hot ! , have you check the spark plug ? Service the carb? , also have you check the auto chock ?? it maybe saying on , ( I've done a video on how to test) Maybe check a few other video of mine to cover the spark , carb and stator , Hope that helps please like share and subscribe , mark

Ben Hall hi bud , what ? The brakes or are you asking about the Bike ?
mark savage the bike mate
thank you man : but I hardly understand your English with French accent Man !
hope it helped and theres many more videos no my channel that may help and not in French lol
Thank you Master Mark : but I think that you Speak more than one language , I have forgot to ask you my question : can I oil or put Grease on the Pistons of the Brakes , the two Pistons so they slide easily or no ?
yes bud I clean them up and use the brake grease or copper grease, just don't get any on the pads lol
some cheap brake pads fit tight so I often rub down the side end bits so they fit in and free to move ( top tip lol)
This would have been a dope video if it was for drum brakes
take it you have drum brakes then bud, I do have a video on drum brakes but it for a speedfight but the basics are the same bud
