Hey friends! Thanks for watching! I've wanted to share this story in its own video for a while now. I talked about it in my Weight Loss Story video I posted a few years ago, but since a lot of you may not have been subscribed to my channel then, I thought this topic was a good one to address in a Feel Good Friday. This experience opened up my eyes to how toxic aspartame can be to our bodies. It was a very scary experience, and I wanted to share it with others. Now I'm not saying I NEVER have it anymore, but I do avoid it as much as possible. The only things I consume that still have it are a diet soda here and there. But I learned from this that just because something is 0 calories or sugar free, doesn't mean its helping in your weight loss attempts.

I’ve battled vertigo (severe) for 8 years…watched your video and decided I needed to give up diet soda. I did so for about 2 months. No dizziness whatsoever! For the first time in years! But then I missed my Diet Coke and decided to drink it once in a while which of course turned into daily…and wouldn’t you know it, the vertigo returned. There’s something to it, guys.

I couldn’t believe chewing gum could be a nearly fatal, habit, until it happened to me! I had developed a habit of chewing two or three pieces of Wrigley’s orbit gum and getting a change of gum at least 4 to 5 times daily. As an RN I was completely disabled and spent a year in living hell with anxiety so severe I was suicidal! I was so restless I wanted to crawl out of my skin. I couldn’t even sit back in my chair I had to rock incessantly. I slept for 1 to 2 hours then woke up and was awake for up to two hours and then got another 1 to 2 hours of sleep. In total I was only getting 4 to 6 hours of sleep nightly for an entire year! I was sleeping 8 to 10 hours nightly prior to changing from natural gums to the cheaper Wrigley‘s brand gum! I couldn’t focus on anything and spent four hours trying to watch a half hour program because I couldn’t absorb what was being said! My vision was blurry and I went to multiple doctors, but nothing they gave me was providing relief! After not finding any relief and being so disabled I began to read about aspartame and the first reports I read all said it was safe so I didn’t give it a second thought. Thank God six months later when I was on the verge of killing myself because I couldn’t tolerate living in such torment I decided to dig deeper and discovered aspartame can be toxic! I immediately stopped chewing gum which was really my favorite and only vice in life! Guess what? Yes, within one day I was back in my right mind! I am livid over how can they put something like this in our food without giving us blaring warnings about how toxic it is - especially for certain people who are more sensitive to it.
Our body chemistry changes every seven years so you can tolerate a certain food or medicine all your life and then suddenly develop allergies or sensitivities! Don’t sit smugly thinking, oh this could never happen to me, because I can testify that you never know and doctors are not trained to look for this type of toxicity! I wonder how many children with mental issues just need to get off of the aspartame! If it could do what it did to me, the fact that it silently causes cancer’s and other neurological conditions without being identified until the damage is done is easy to understand! We are like lambs to the slaughter trusting in companies motivated to cheaply process and sell us their goods!

This video is five years old but as important to actually view all the way through as it was then.
    Aspartame can kill you.
You are very blessed you did not go to the doctor.
The symptoms it creates are almost always treated as other ailments by doctors.
The water weight gain from Aspartame is especially distressing as people who have heart problems already naturally retain water in their tissues.
i wished I had seen this video when you posted it five years ago.
A loved one who just died in part from aspartame in her diet might still be alive.
Thank you for posting this video and never ever let anyone tell you your real life experience is not valid.
Your true life testimony is the most valid truth we can hear.
Over ten years ago, there was a website dedicated by the mother of a child, her daughter who had such severe reactions to Crystal Light ,her daughter was scheduled to have brain surgery to fix it.
But just before the surgery was to happen, she rechecked everything in her daughetrs diet and realized all of her daughters symptoms started the week she started giving her daughter Crystal Light.
The lady stopped the surgery appointment, stopped the Crystal Light cold and it took several weeks but her daughter eventually recovered right back to normal.
I never thought the American food industry would do this to our families but i was dead wrong.
Stop using any Aspartame or Splenda too.

Hello, you look like a picture of health. I am so glad I found this video. I was depressed due to job loss I was not eating but I was drinking coffee.the bald patches I had in my head worsened.my hips and but were spreading. I felt out of like I was in a trance, like daydreaming. I had put Splenda in my coffee EVERYTIME. I started researching it and sure enough people were saying the same thing about weight gain, hair loss, etc. I am monitoring it and my hair is coming back and the weight in those areas is going down. For 15 years! I had no idea!!!! I thought my hair loss was due to stress. I have not been stressed out for all those years. I had no idea! Tfs

Yes...this happened to my son. Aspartame is a really bad....my son got severe headaches, weight loss, bad attitude, swelling, water retention and he could not focus on in a school. He was drinking it from drinks and from those loose packets in his oatmeal. We took him to the doctor and she said it was the artificial sweeteners......we immediately took him off and flushed him with water 💦. We also had to take him to the emergency room and they gave him 4 bags of IV. I'm glad you did this video....very informative and educational. Hugs 🤗

After that, every time I would drink a diet Dr Pepper as a treat, my side where my liver is would hurt, so I don’t do that anymore. Forgot all about this when I started drinking a vitamin drink for 7 months...ended up with horrible stomach pains for months! Getting worse and worse. Had some tests, all negative. Just yesterday figured it out! Duh!! (Thank god because the doctors were clueless; I felt like I was being poisoned.) Can’t believe I ever consumed fake sugar again! However, i have been lately eating low carb tortillas and drinking more and more Sucralose and my whole body has been itchy and tingling (just like she said in the video). I would drink it as a meal replacement when I was a teenager to help my weight loss, or so I thought it was helping. I got to the point where I would have a headache if I hadn't had one by a certain time of the day. The sugar alcohol made my stomach go nuts. I also quit diet coke because I felt addicted to it and it seemed to make me want to crave sugar MORE. Now I just have one tsp of regular cane sugar with coffee and avoid artificial sweetners other than stevia like you. Stevia is great. When I used Aspartame I got to almost 100kg from Australia unsure of what it is in pounds and very overweight the moment I stopped I lost it and now maintain a healthy weight of 65kgs. That stuff is poison ☠️ it’s whole chemical structure is as I know how read it by certain colours particularly shades of red and purple which the define weather poison or not and numbers I’m autistic (Aspergers) I’m pretty cluey when it comes to knowing what a poison is. So thought to share but Im in no means a doctor but like to share what I learn. As for some of your symptoms they would match also methanol poisoning as there is methanol in the structure of aspartame which is a particular shade of red similar to the red line that you see when the video finishes on CZcams that are slightly a bit darker and different. Also methanol converts to for Formaldehyde (the stuff they use to embalm dead body’s in prep for a funeral) hence the reason for your body gaining weight and holding fluid there are other things to look for but I’m sharing because I care. If you would like to know more feel free to ask I’m more than happy to list more as I know that Aspartame is by far the most complained about sweetener to the FDA. There are well over 92 plus symptoms that are complained about often to the FDA from the last time I looked.

I'm a migraine sufferer, aspartame is a huge trigger for me. It took me forever to figure this one out. Consuming it just once will trigger a 3-4 day migraine for me. MSG does the same thing. Aside from my morning cup of coffee, I predominantly drink water. If I have tea, I sweeten hot with honey, cold with natural sweetener (that I tote around in my purse) or I've learned to tolerate it unsweetened. I absolutely do not drink sodas. Would describe the skin issue as sensitive but not really itchy? Did it cover your entire body?
I’m trying to break single digit body fat. Between no sleep and trying to stop eating I started gum chewing in excess of 3 packs a day then over last 3 weeks got up to 10 cans or more of aspartame sodas (caffeine helped).
Week 3 all of a sudden my entire body started feeling like I had burned my skin slightly. Itchy but not too itchy. Just uncomfortable.

When I share this with my friends, several of them said they were getting headaches and they stopped eating it. I think it's a common problem, but people just don't realize what the trigger is.

Harris Cheryl Same thing for me. Migraine trigger. It really is a tough one to catch.

I started weight watchers about 8 months ago and I lost 28 lbs wasn’t even craving sugar everything was great. But recently for like the past month my left arm has been feeling weak/tingly/numbing so I went to the ER blood work was okay etc, went to my pcp and she’s now referring me to a neurologist to run more test. But I’m almost 100% sure it’s because during my weight loss I drank a lot of coke zero’s and Splenda and stuff and now I’ve cut that out and have been drinking water everyday , I’m just really praying irreversible damage hasn’t been done yet 🙏

I used to be addicted to chewing gum. Whenever my parents bought a pack, it would almost always be gone in a week. It got to the point where I was having jaw pain and pretty bad headaches. One day I took a pack that was half full, threw it in the trash, and I told my parents not to buy anymore of it. I'm pretty certain I was addicted to the aspartame in it. I haven't chewed a piece of gum since.

Thanks for this info! But are there non aspertame ways to sweeten water? Aside from lemon juice?

You can always fruit and cucumbers! Or check Whole Foods and see if they have any options... I may be wrong about this but I am pretty sure their standards don't allow aspartame products to be sold in their stores. I remember years ago I went to one that had a Jamba Juice inside it and they didn't offer a particular smoothie because it had it in the ingredients.
