I feel your pain sir...I got pit when she was 6wks old, she had too gotten cancer and went blind....I thought she would get use to were everything was in the house because she lived in it all her life....I actually had an appointment scheduled with the vet on February 14th of this year and canceled it....I got to feeling like I was selfish because I was keeping her alive so I rescheduled the appointment and went through with it this time, I cried like a baby because she had been my best friend for 9yrs, but on the day I had her put to sleep I made a comment to the vet that once he injected the medication that it didn't take long for her to pass, and he told me "ma'am I'm not telling you this to make you feel bad but she was ready to go but she was hanging on because of her love for you"....I guess the morale to my story is "if you feel that it's time to make that decision then do it cuz they won't hardly pass on their own because they don't want to leave us" your dog will always be with you, in your heart, in your thoughts and of course in your prayers!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours with loosing your beloved pet and best friend🙏🙏🙏🙏

This is so touching. I lost a Staffordshire, he had tumor in his heart. The most loving, loyal, gentle dog. Loved children, cats everyone. He has been gone 5 years now and i still miss him so much.
He's probably playing in heaven now over the rainbow bridge 🌈 what you did was just so beautiful and a precious piece of a memory. Omgosh this made me cry! What a beautiful thing to do, I'm so sorry your Pitbull has terminal CA. I have an 8yr. old Pitbull-my very first dog that we adopted 6 yrs. ago. It's such a shame they're one of the most misunderstood dogs. It's not the breed itself that they get a bad rap, it's the ppl that train them or abuse them. I've thought of making a cement impression of my Pitbull's paw also. I took a picture of his paws and my hands next to his paws in the snow. Always remember the memories and that you gave him life and a home with love🐶
My dog, a Cane Corso of 13 years old,died in my arms , and evrething spent from the night in the morning.I couldnt do anythibg for him, he made AVC.I was waiting the morning to go urgently to doctor,but he couldnt resist. So, you did something for your dog, a pleasent thing. Sorry for your beutiful dog.

I lost my German Shepherd 21 years ago to bone cancer. My sons and I had adopted her from a shelter 6 years before. We all still miss her, our Pepper. We also had lost our daschund/ Jack Russell mix girl that year after she died from being hit by a car when she dug a hole under the fence and escaped. We still miss our Snuggles too. I have had 2 other dogs and numerous cats since I was a small child. We had 3cats until last February when our 13 year old cat passed due to heart and lung failure. Our two remaining cats are both in their 11th year of life. We really miss our Muffin who was a domestic long hair polydactyl kitty. We are doing all that we can to help our remaining fur babies to continue to thrive and survive. They are very sweet and loving babies. Muffin was jealous of my lap and would not let them share me, even though they were with us well before my son moved in and brought her to live with us. The other two have now come out of their shell and take turns lying on my lap and sleeping on me.
We lost our husky Shaer over Christmas. She reached the Grand Old Age of 19, she was still very active at 18, we still took walks of upto 10 miles. We rescued her at 5 years of age. She had been left tied to a fence with a note. She was always loving. I miss her terribly 😭
My daughter rescued a pitti just days before he was to be put to sleep. He had been abused and was used as a fighting dog.. His name is shooter (had the name when she adopted him) I was worried at first, because she has 3 kids. BUT Shooter is the Sweetest Most Gentle Dog I’ve Ever Met!!! I’m glad he’s part of her family.

Thank you for sharing such a personal moment, We have our 3rd rescue, We have lost 3 of our babys since we were married in 1985, and more before we were married. Our Dusty had liver disease, Our pretty pitty. Kayla had evands disease,( she was fine one day, next she collapsed, We were told the intervenes she got would save her life( if she was young), Or it could be like adding gas to the fire. We is what happened. And then our beloved Breeze( named after Lynyrd Skynyrds song), She had Cerebellum disease, We had a harness to help her walk in the back yard as she had lost control over her back legs, carried her up and down the stairs ( was honored to do so). Said goodbye during Covid, You had to bring your baby to the vets, and wait outside, not being there in the final moments, and they come out with a card board box. That was unacceptable!! We found a vet service, that came to the house, in our pergola We all sat together till the end, I couldn’t have been more thankful. The vet was crying when she left! It was a extremely hard day, butt a good day, because we sat with our special girl till she left on her next journey!

Pits were bread as nanny dogs in the late 1800s and are family dogs. It’s true as one of the comments said it the person on the other end of that leash they are wonderful and beautiful dogs I love pits
I have a Pitt-bull/Great-Dane mix named Kano. He is full of life and energy, and would never hurt anyone. I’ve had 3 Pitts and not a single one of them were a danger to anyone or anything but a tennis ball and chew toy. It’s all about how you raise them, and the bloodline they come from.
Made me think of my Brooster, got him when he was 8 weeks old, was my best friend for the 12 yrs he was here, got really sick the last 2 months to the point he couldn't stand up without my help and the last days not at all, he passed almost a year ago, woke up on my birthday and he was gone, lot of random things bring up memories, he really was my best bud... miss u big guy

I am so sorry. I lost a cat years ago due to cancer. I had no idea about it until it was too far gone. Today, I hear about people saying Fenbendazole cured them of stage 4 cancer and some recommending Ivermectin. But, we often just don't find out how sick our fur babies are until it's too late.

I cannot believe that a lot of my feed for CZcams is « sick, starving, and dying dogs ». WTF is wrong with people? Why do they think it’s ok to mistreat one of gods creations? I hate it, and I hate seeing it. It’s ugly, and it’s not part of the world I want to live in. Thank you for taking good care of him. I lost my chocolate lab 6 months ago, and it was one of the most heartbreaking events of my life. He was so sweet, and I see his face in your pup. Peace!
pittbulls are great loving dogs. my holly and molly were rott mix loving right to the end. all the memory's are the greatest gift i have of them. no dog is truly gone as long as thar are alive in our harts.

I've had a few encounters with properly trained pitbulls and they were all good dogs to be around. One specific encounter happened at a local flea market. A guy had a pitbull puppy about a month old maybe and it was one of the friendliest dogs I'd ever seen.

I'm 62 now and my Dog has a lump on his leg. The doctor said it could be cancer but wants $1500.00 to take it off. I'm disabled, alone and cannot afford this. So when he goes so will I.
By the edge of a wood, at the foot of a hill, in a lush green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, when there time on the earth is done, for here between this world and the next is a place where beloved creatures find rest. On this golden land they wait and play, till the rainbow bridge they cross one day, no more do they suffer in pain or sadness, for here they are whole. Their lives full of gladness, their limbs restored, their health renewed their body have healed with health imbued, they romp through the grass with out even a care, until the day they stop and stare. All ears pricked forwards, eyes sharp and alert, then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack for just at that second their eyes have met, as they see each other…both person…and pet. They run to each other these friends from long past, the time of their parting is over alt last. The sadness they felt whilst they was apart, has turned to joy in both of their hearts. They embrace with a love that will last forever then side by side they cross over together. 🌈

People suck. I’m sorry. There are a lot of people who treat these sweet animals terribly and are then surprised that the animals behave like jerks. I cannot believe that a lot of my feed for CZcams is « sick, starving, and dying dogs ». WTF is wrong with people? Why do they think it’s ok to mistreat one of gods creations? I hate it, and I hate seeing it. It’s ugly, and it’s not part of the world I want to live in. Thank you for taking good care of him. I lost my chocolate lab 6 months ago, and it was one of the most heartbreaking events of my life. He was so sweet, and I see his face in your pup. Peace!
Very sad and loving I had to put my dog down at 19 years and it’s so hard and it took me a few years later to adopt a new one, rip ❤

my holly and molly were rott mix loving right to the end. all the memory's are the greatest gift i have of them. no dog is truly gone as long as thar are alive in our harts.

We love our pit lab mix. Loyal, loveable funny 4 legged kid. Truly believe God bought him to us. I know for a fact that your pit thinks the same way. ❤
I've had a few encounters with properly trained pitbulls and they were all good dogs to be around. One specific encounter happened at a local flea market. A guy had a pitbull puppy about a month old maybe and it was one of the friendliest dogs I'd ever seen.

I lost my part Lottie to cancer as well on memorial day. Like your best friend he was 10 years old and he was my best friend. His name was Lenny and I will always love him!

Like ALL dogs there are good and bad. Most often it has to do with rhe owner and socialization. Your sweet baby was clearly a loving companion. I am so sorry for your loss❤

My bubba got lymphoma we did two rounds of chemo he died on Easter in 2023 I’m still not over the loss I’ll probably never have another little guy like him he was so awesome

I'm 62 now and my Dog has a lump on his leg. The doctor said it could be cancer but wants $1500.00 to take it off. I'm disabled, alone and cannot afford this. So when he goes so will I.

They run to each other these friends from long past, the time of their parting is over alt last. The sadness they felt whilst they was apart, has turned to joy in both of their hearts. They embrace with a love that will last forever then side by side they cross over together. 🌈
