Great analysis of elemental damage! In the early game, I used fire damage without any engravings (only abilities / mastery) so that when an enemy was at >5% health, the burning effect would usually take care of them while I moved on to other enemies. As you said, in the later game, you want to hit enemies once and they will die quickly. I'll have to take a closer look at the engraving about Elemental buildup / Critical Chance.

Use the Northern Traveler Set. Its Legendary, has good engravings and its for Free!

Thank you for the video. Can I ask a technical question? Can you stack fire and poison damage? Or must you only use one or the other? I'm having a mild argument with a fellow streamer over using just fire damage in your crit build while he's saying dealing both elemental dmg is better
You can only deal one elemental damage type at the same time, your weapon only deals fire impact damage or poison impact damage, since your weapon can not use both. If you activate flaming attacks on the Arachnes stinger it will overwrite the poison damage and the game only uses the last active elemental damage. Hitting enemies with a flaming Arachnes stinger will cause them to burn, as shown here: czcams.com/video/4afhkm4ShDM/video.html
You could weaken them with poison to increase your damage. But using both is really not practical, and doesnt give you any benefits, other than using the weakening effect, which you could just do with poison alone, anyway.
PS: Fun fact, if you ignite a poison arrow on a fire source, the game turns them into explosive arrows (probably incrementing the type by one in the internal files). And you can also not use both arrow engravings on Hades bow, it will only apply the last one of them.

Without any percent of elemental damage it does not increase your damage. The elemental damage percent will be added.

how do you get 140% damage with dagger? even if i put damage with dagger on my 2 weapons and head and dmg with sword and dagger on the head it only adds up to 110%. is there a secret item that has damage with dagger where its normally not allowed?
EDIT: nvm, i'm an idiot, i completely forgot about mastery bonuses, so i guess that leads into my next question. on the head, i have warrior, crit chance while full health, damage with daggers, and engraved a crit damage on it. Should i swap the crit damage for damage with swords and daggers? which one would get me more damage?
30% from masteries, depends on your build, 30% weapon damage is better than 50% crit, sometimes even better than 100% crit. 20% is most of the time still better than 50%. Check the ranking in the build videos and the calculations in the description.
Thank you for the in-depth video! I do have a question though. Wouldn't the math be (+100% weapon damage)x(+20% warrior damage + base warrior damage)=2x1.2=2.4 times the base warrior damage? I couldn't figure out how +100% weapon damage is only equal to 40% elemental damage, which is only 1.4 times the base warrior damage? Please help me understand. Thanks!
Weapon damage is the strongest multiplicator in the game and elemental damage is the weakest stackable damage in the game.
Lets assume you have 300 base damage
The you add 20% warrior damage, you get: (300 + 20) = 320
lets assume you have 300 base damage
Then you add 100% damage with swords, you get: (300 x 2) = 600
Lets assume you have 300 base damage
and you have 100% weapon damage
and you get 40% fire damage, you get: (300) x 2 + 40 = 640
Lets assume you have 300 base damage
and you have 100% weapon damage
and you add 20% warrior damage, you get: (300 + 20) x 2 = 640
The elemental damage is outperformed by warrior damage, and above weapon damage 100% it is becoming weaker than warrior damage. It also shows that weapon damage is an additional multiplier and most important engraving the game even better than critical damage. It can precisely calculate your damage to the last digit. And it is 100% accurate.
@@T7PDM thank you so much for the detailed reply! Somehow I thought the base warrior damage won't get multiplied by the weapon damage multiplier when using elemental build. My mistake 😅
@@hangover4833 The base part gets multiplied but not the element part. This is the reason why you always engrave warrior damage in builds an not elemental damage. Weapon damage can be up to 140% = 2.4x multiplier.

It's a complete elemental guide but I think there are two things you missed to mention.
1. Poison weakening effect not only increases player's damage to enemies but also reduces enemy's attack damge to the player.
2. There is a bug in the elemental resistance and it's in our favour. Let me explain this through an example. Suppose you have applied 60% elemental resistance through normal engraving and 40% fire resistance through the legendary engraving. Now as per the formula, it should make you resistant to fire and it does but the funny thing being it also makes you resistant to poison. You can even check that in the detailed stats menu that your elemental resistance is now 100%.
I have tested these myself. Hope this helps.
1. Interesting, seems to be in fact a little less damage.
2. When you use 40% Fire resistance the value shows 100%, but you can still be poisoned and you also take poison damage over time.

1. No it's not a little decrease in damage recieved, it's quite okay but not even as close to the melee resistance and related bonuses but if I use Snake set in combination with this then I taken almost 0 damage from intoxicated enemy.
2. Haven't done thorough testing but when I applied 60% elemental resistance and 40% fire resistance, I had complete poison resistance along with complete fire resistance. Maybe there is a bug in combination with Foteinos as that was the bow I had equipped when I encountered this glitch. I can't retest it now as I don't have Odyssey installed right now.
@@bhavya.prashant It is only around 20-25% from a civilian with a weapon on nightmare though. And you definitely take poison damage.

I have both fire and poison combined for dagger. Does the damage stack or am I wasting a engraving.
It does not stack. And you can only apply one elemental damage type to your enemies.

hey, i found an other bug related to the bug showed in the last video when you can still use your abilities while the Ares Madness is active, You can basicly boost the Ares Madness damages by using the ability to set on fire your weapon, whitch now works on the Leonidas' spear with the bug. @@T7PDM after some testing, it seems like this bug is only working on the light attack. With only +136% fire damage on my build its does a boost of about 250-300k damage per hit, witch provide me a boost of aroud 30% damage (i was at +575% crit damage and +204% assassin damage and no weapon damage boost on my test build)
@@sylv5318 I dont think its worth the hassle using it, although it was quite obvious it will work.
but there is a downside, when you activate Ares Madness, the fire ability reset and you need to activate it again and you lose 1 sec of the Ares Madness, so i think this bug is may not usefull for a daily build because you already have so much damage to kill in 1 or 2 hit.

I use both poison for hunter fire for warrior and mix them together it goes boom
If you incent a poison arrow on a fire it will turn into an explosive arrow dealing very little damage, because explosive arrows suck. Thats crap, dude.
So with the fact poison also weakens the target that would kill faster then fire. Also what was that poison bomb ability you used
Poison doesnt kill faster, the poison damage over time is only 1/3 of the fire damage over time. You can get over 100k fire damage per tick, but you will never get more than 30k poison damage per tick. Poison is useless. You can use the vanish intoxicates enemies engraving on your torso for the vansih ability.

I have 2 engravings on my bow all arrows arre fire and one that all of my normal arrows are poison but i dont get the poison effect on enemy only the fire and i also dont see the poison visual effects so my question is it a bug or can you only have 1
Only one effect can be active at the same time, you can however incend a poison arrow on a fire place, the game then turns this into an explosive arrow.
You should use the Bighorn bow anyway. ;-)

Head - Damage with Swords / Daggers
Torso - Damage with Heavy Blades / Blunts
Boots - Damage with Spears / Staffs

Elemental buildup is only needed to get damage over time, and damage over time is useless, since every enemy will be dead before they start burning. Dont cripple your build with damage over time. Just use fire or poison to increase your weapon and arrow damage.
The engraving is unlocked during the Atlantis addn.

Hi I hope you read this.. Your videos are incredible, however, my only criticism is that you spend so much time explaining the Math behind the build, that I, and I'm sure many others get lost and confused trying to understand.
May I suggest..Less Math explanation, just be concise and simple..tell us what you recommendations are.

This isn't a fair assessment. Because he quote, "wants them dead before any build up", so he's just playing a warrior build. That's fine, but not if like me, I play stealth, mostly hit and HIDE tactical. So If I rain arrows down and my enemy doesn't know where I am, then I want very fast element build up. NO! I think he has to re-evaluate these builds. I can't help but think this video is misleading elemental builds. Nope. This is a bias warrior build only!
You dont need more than one hit in any playstyle, Your builds must really suck then, dude... This is a typical comment from players which are anxious to get cought and play hide and seek. Elemental damage does not increase any of your asasin damage or assassin abilities this is a fact. Get some skill, dude.
Well yes kinda elemental warrior xD, if i want something like Insta Poison ACO Style and let the poison work to death it will need Elemntal Build UP
On civilians dont need much but for soldiers you may require 150% or more
And ingame this is kinda unfair because enemies insta poison/burn you with a single hit.

I always use fire. It has more damage form the ability and you can burn the crates and other stuff without using torches.

@@UnTicketPourElysium I have it maxed out for ages. If it requires you to kill enemies with elemental damage, then simply use permanent fire on your melee weapon and spam ring of chaos or multishot in conquest battles. Since I always use fire arrows I did not even do anything special for it.

Unfortunately, ring of chaos doesn’t inflict any damage of this kind. But here is a very effective way to do so: set difficulty to hard, go to a battle. Light hit twice an opponent. Then run to another one. Do it again. Repeat. This cycle gave me around 400/500 hits per battle. So I maxed up this engraving in a few battles.

Ubisoft state this issue was resolved in the latest update. They wouldn’t show for me either on PS4 for the longest time but they just appeared after returning to the Greek world after completing the Atlantis DLC. Not saying you need to buy the DLC, just, that’s what happened for me.
I have PS+ and I’m always online, I think you’ll need to be online at least until the quests come through?
You need to upgrade to version 1.5.4
Sunburn Resistance is for using Helios Radiant set more consistently... although that set and its downgraded engraving both suck pretty badly. The only Helix Credits i feel like I wasted. Should've been +500% (set) / +200% (engrave) damage.
With the Helios set you can make yourself 100% invincible against fire damage anyway. The sunburn resistance is not doing anything for it. Dude, if you need 500% damage, then your build must really suck... Seriously you need to take some balancing class, dude.
@@T7PDM the set sucks. It has no potential damage if you actually make yourself immune to fire, because you've wasted even more slots than sunburn and the legendary perk do. The set engravings themselves are bad, who wants crit at low health alongside OP Attack damage alongside parrying and burning? And everything else is 60% Elemental resistance? Garbage set. You can explain to me how that set can compete with any other Warrior Set in the Helix Store, even the midgrade ones like Myrmidon, then I'll accept your opinion on it. I put Pegasos in the same bottom tier but even that set is more flexible.
Until then, it's a waste of real life money - and its perks should've been much stronger for its drawbacks (can't be used against unparryable, non-fire enemies, burning damage only lasts seconds, etc). 500% isn't a lot for a few seconds of action where the player needs 100% Elemental resistance just to retain full health perks (let alone actually having melee resistance at the same time, and then where would put crit?). Without the full health perks and only getting 200% while on fire, Yumminess engraving actually starts looking really good, along with Falx, just to deal any type of damage. But if I'm wrong, please teach us how to get damage out of this set.
@@T7PDM edit correction to myself: you can engrave the torso for immunity so that solves the issue. Still negative too many useful slots in the armor set to make a decent damage build but damage immunity is possible. And the torso is where Lifesteal goes for Yumminess, so now it's a choice between Yumminess and Full Health capability unless you use parry heal engraving to reliably heal from arrows & Spears.
What can you use the burning duration engraving in?
The burning duration is absolute crap, you dont need them.

@@hanneskandler107 Dude, having 100% all resistances results in a total crap build that could not even kill a chicken in a single hit. The build I send you is the best tank build ever., with every hit, take back your health and it will always cuont as a full health hit. You dont need 100% all resistances. Its a total waste to do that.

Well if you max your resistance to poison thats the mighty armor set that makes you immune to fire
The Myrmidon set gives you poison immunity, but why would you like to be immune to the rarest or all damage types, which is not even able to kill you?
@T7PDM easy for 2 reasons 1 if you can run resistance to one and immunity on the other it wont matter to much but as to why id want fire immunity 2 if i want to run fire on everything and i do mean everything then i can prevent self damage meaning il go scorched earth turn everything to a flameing hellscape make them walk in to even more damage
side note i disagree that fire is the rarest half the time is myself but peeps do use fire as for poison i see that from elites or bosses and only from them normal troops iv seen use fire some times in addition to the elite an boss lvl

You could also use the Dikastes staff to knock them out and let them be resurrected to kill them again and again.
