I'm new to AC Odyssey, and currently on my first playthrough. Following your guides and advice I have made a build that allowed me to beat a level 99 mercenary, while I was only level 50. Not only did I beat him, but it was relatively easy. I was doing large amounts of damage and was really surprised by it.
My build is nowhere near perfect, but just some basic concepts and pointers I learned from you have made a massive impact on how powerful my character is, and the game overall.

@@SivaprasadNair-Siva- 30% damage while full health adds to your base warrior hunter and assassin damage. But is not multiplied by weapon damage. Why do you even think it adds to crit? That is not the case, dude. All damage always means all three base damages.

All I wanted to say was whether it was calculated om top of crit damage like the abilities or just stacked along with weapon multipliers or warrior/ass/hunt damage increase making it not that important. Thanks for the breakdown, however, I use the agamenmon set. What do you recommend in that case? I focused on elemental buildup 20/20, fire damage 20/20 and crit chance while full health 20/20. Im at level 71 playing episode 2 of dlc 2.

Question: how does the "Converts crit chance to damage but cannot crit" engraving affect assassin damage? Or, damage in general I guess?
From what I understand, it takes your regular crit chance and uses it as a multiplier. For example, 50% crit chance would multiply the sum of your assassin damage by x1.5 . Is that accurate?
I'm trying to create a no crit build as a bit of a challenge, because I've been way too powerful ever since I hit lvl 91 and reached 100% crit chance at full health.

Could you help me with a question? From what I understood, there are three types of damage. "Warrior" damage refers to melee attacks, "Hunter" damage refers to attacks with the bow (both in combat and stealth), and "Assassin" damage refers to stealth attacks. If I have equipped all items with assassin damage, but when facing a mercenary in battle, will the damage that counts be warrior damage?
As you correctly stated it depends on the type of the attack. There are also abilities that use assassin damage that can be used during combat, such as Hero strike.

493 ability points! 😱 how many hours have you played? 🤣
You can get 70 points every 25 hours by just doing new game plus over and over and collect the free points from tombs and the Atlantis DLC. So its not much time consuming to get points. You will never need more than 300 points to max out all the important masteries anyway. Anything above that is not needed at all to deal the same damage as in my builds.

I have a few questions about some things that weren't mentioned:
What about bonuses vs types of enemies (spartan, athenian, animal, bosses..) and bonus when attacking from behind? In earlier videos you said that they are not that valuable. Does that mean that they are calculated in the way elemental damage is and do they count in calculation for assassin damage?
Also, i never found any calculations for weakening poison effect to enemies. Since most of us are still grinding our way and can't yet one shot enemies do you think weakening effect (lowering targets armor and significantly their damage output) is wort focusing on with perks and sets. Since you said armor penetration of 30% is worth it i wonder how far poison effect can go if you can apply it on one or 2 hits?

How bout doing ac origins videos? Already on ng+ nightmare on odyssey and just doing orichalcum daily quests. Your builds has made everything easy. Your god mode warrior build is what i am using:)
A bit too late for Origins. That wont get a lot of views, its not economically viable to make videos for it.
Too bad I discovered your channel so lately (before I started the dlcs) Now I already finished every side quest, every main quest, every question mark Greece and each one of the realms had to offer. Only a few achievements are missing and one set of armour but that will be finished in no time. At least now when I know you I will know where to look for upcoming Valhalla guides. Start a NG+, with a better build, dude. Thats the most fun you will ever have with this game.
T7 PDM I mean I already spent so many hours in this game (240) that I want to finally move on, also my build was really good, it was a warrior build based around 100 % crit chance, crit damage and fire damage. I know you often say fire damage in warrior build isn’t that good but my main weapon was staff, so the fire spread pretty fast. It didn’t one hit mythical bosses like your do but against everyone else it was great. Once I managed to kill in a conquer battle 1 mercenary, 3 captains and 80 soldiers, that is really good in regard to the fact it was a warrior build, not a hunter build like everyone else on the YT with 60 kills+ was using.
But still, I will come back, when Valhalla will be released and based on what I’ve seen it looks even more RPG-based so maybe the builds will play a more important role in that game.

Just make a manual save before you fight them. And/or start a new game plus then you can do everything again.

No, Ubisoft were rushing to fix this. It was patched on May 5th on their server. It was an error on the server. Even with the glitch, the amount of Orichalcum was still limited and the items random. You could get a shop item in every pull, but it was not what you wanted and only until you spend all your ore. You could not go into negative ore. The server knew that when you run out. The bug was just that you got a shop item in every pull, which was still a big thing. Getting all items of a certain set was still pure luck depending on how much ore you had. If you had like 3000 - 4000 you could have probably gotten the whole shop.

Interesting enemies/npcs has Armor... so even civilians almost naked with soft cloths have it ?
Another thing... difficulty affects damage? Dont know if there are are damage reduction based on dificulty but noticed HP increases
Easy: 75% HP
Normal: 100% HP
Hard: 120% HP
Nightmare: 150% HP
Tested on a Common Athenian soldier with Sword, archers has less HP, thanks to Assasination dealing Max HP damage i figured this.

- I appreciate the game in all its aspects its a mathematical masterpiece with good story.
- Enemy health increase by 20% per level.
- All civilians have the same stats. You have to test with civilians.
- Difficulty does increases enemy health and the damage you take from enemy hits. It does not change the damage you deal.
- Assassination damage is capped by enemy health, it might look like it increases by diffculty, because of the increased health, but this is not true. It just exceeds the health by far. The real assassin damage can be made visible with assassin damage to nearby enemies. (The killed nearby enemies will show the real uncapped assassin damage value)

use big horn bow to ignore hunter dmg entirely

Thanks for this amazing guide , one question : the Amazonian Set increases the assassinations abilities damage by 50% is it worth using it over 6 pieces of Epic gear since it's so hard to get Epic gear with good stats ?
The Amazon set gives you a health restore bonus, what you mean is the Pirate set. It is a good setbonus and the pirate set is also a good legendary set, but I would not use it because it does not help you with normal assasinations, if you want to kill mercenaris on nightmare with normal assassinations the setbonus is not used. It is only used when you use Hero strike, or Rush asasination, but with these you will have enough damage to kill anything anyway. Therefore I used the Nemean Lion with much more critical damage to make a full health legendary build that can overrun mercenaries on nightmare with normal assasinations: czcams.com/video/maGbHJsp3KI/video.html

What's about the overpowered attacks though? Does OP shot uses elemental in calculations? Can it headshot?
I guess warrior's OP attack uses the strangest formula?
Abilities have multipliers than multiply everything at the end of the formula, overpower attacks for warrior damage have an 18x multiplier. The percentage values are shown in the description of your abilities. Devastating shot: 4x, predator shot: 6x, Fury: 9x, etc.... As it was shown the elemental damage will be added into this, but it has only small effect, since it does not have the additional multipliers of weapon damage.
Overpower shots with your arrows DONT WORK with the bighorn bow, there is a bug that makes them deal very low damage.
@@T7PDM I dont have the bighorn bow and have no intentions of using it TBH. Thanks for the answer tho.
In the end, OP bow shot uses the original formula, including elemental damage, and then have a 15x multiplier - that is as i understood it.
But still, can it headshot or since it is an explosion it *just* does damage and that's it?

Hi! Great video, but i have a question, since this is my first AC game. How does the "double weapon" system actually work? Especially for warriror, do they correlate? Or do certain properties only activate when the actual weapon is used?
all engravings & stats on the other weapon you are not using (even bow) affect your stats so it is important. only engraving that will not work is the permanent poison/fire on the weapon, need to use that weapon to take effect

A mercenary on level 99 on nightmare has 3.5 million health
Nobody cares about lower difficulties, because the ones who care play nightmare anyway.. Easy is half of that.
Go to the mythical creature, press X for a random ability, and watch them dying. You just need to make the correct build for it.
Oh god this is complicated. Now I know why I dislike RPGs and why I love Origins but dislike Odyssey

After watching all your build videos I still have no idea how too.much maths talk not enough here this is a new game I'll show you how to build in a basic way and then incorporate the jargon when the simple folk have a clue about what ignore gals damage means I ain't ignoring any damage I'm getting killed on nightmare mode and completed the game twice after months of sneaking round watching the guards and hiding up mountains from mercenaries hoping the climb so I can kick them off the cliff which doesnt work with most of the mercenaries they just glow start shouting and then I'm dead 😝🤘🏻but I love the builds they look cool but I'm level 17 on my third outing on nightmare and I have no idea how to simply make more damage so it takes me less time to have to grind out 1 task imagine doing this for every mission simply because you dont understand if you put sword damage on your swords do you then put it on everything else ??

Man, I just dumped 500 oriculcum at the Oikos, out of sheer boredom. 25 pulls and only got 2 legendary ships and all the epics were trash... that's pathetic!
You should look out for the Darksteel Mask with 100% Crit damage and the Bandit bow with 50% Crit chance. I also never get lucky on the bow...

Its a bugged item. It likely should have been a melee weapon or they entered the stats in the wrong column. It was only found 1 year ago, though.

Damage for enemy types stacks on your base damage, it works as warrior daamge, but only for some enemies.
It is incredibly rubbish, and should never be used.

how do you get so many in millions of materials? irons or drachmae?
Every item on level 99 sells for 50,000 money and gives you 1000 material. If you dismantle 1000 items you get 1 million materials.

When you see the 493 ability points of T7😳
They are all earned from doing 7 NG+, I got all the points from Tombs and the Atlantis DLC. Mastery level is only 140.
Bro I have a question. Do you know how stats increase per level? I noticed they increase at exponential, but then starts to desacelerate. Then you said Enemies HP Increase by 20% each level... so if thats constant at max level I will be weaker because increment decreases? Keeping gear and abilities untouched, you can check reddit post Stats per level
You seem to be totally lost and mixing up a lot of things that dont belong together.

3.) Enemies heallth does not increase by 20% per level and I never said that. Enemies health increases by around 20% per difficulty, which is very diffrent from what you wrote.

This is for us old farts playing this game. Can you show us the weapon and the setup you do on all of the weapons. So I can fry and find them. That spear your using I’d like to find it. I have not seen on yet. I’m at Lvl 72 and still have big problems fighting all the big Quests from dieting and spending a lot of hours trying to kill them.

Sorry, dude, you dont refer to any specific build, of course you can use that. If you need personal build advice you can get a premium membership than I can optimize or create your own build. 100% damage increase will increase all three base damages (Assassin, hunter and warrior) by 100%

With 3 million% assassin dmg can you just one hit assassinate every enemy in the game?
You need 3.5 million damage for a mercenary on nightmare, and the partly resistant and fully resistant ones will need up to 4.5 million. (even though their health will be same), thats just what their armor is absorbing.

I have my crit chance while full health upgraded to level 9 but when I engrave it on my gear it says 16% instead of 18%. I also have the same problem with crit damage while full health and crit chance. Is there any way to get it to update?
Reset your console and make sure you baught it, some people mix up that the text in the shop shows the value for next purchase.

No, dude! The base damage is a stackable bonus
It does NOT do this: 24 * 24 * 24* 24* 24* 100* 100* 100
It does this: 24 + 24 + 24+ 24+ 24+ 24+ 100 + 100
500% + 100% is not doubling your damage, it just gives you 600%
Is that really so hard?
When you have 500% warrior damage
And you add 100% damage you get
500 + 100 = 600
When you add 30% damage with swords:
500 * 1,3 = 650

And why would you not want to start a new game plus? The benefits are incredible. (including literally unlimited points, free upgrades and all unique weapons are recollectible)

I'm with you. This video only made things less clear for me. When you say "adding 0% elemental damage to our build will give us a 0% increase in our damage", that doesn't explain anything. And you show the exact same formula and exact same result for both 40% elemental damage and 20% weapon damage. I only feel more confused after watching this video. Lol.

@@taylormay9938 1.) If you have a burning sword with 0% fire damage, it will NOT increase your damage. WAS IT CLEAR NOW? The single fact that it is burning doesnt increase damage, you will have to increase the fire damage percent.
2.) You get confused between Warrior damage and weapon damage. 20% warrior damage will be multiplied by weapon damage (damage with swords), while elemental damage will not be multiplied.
3.) You should first learn the difference between base damage, warrior, damage, elemental damage and weapon damage. Its all written on the screen, dude!

Ok. I understand, but you didnt mention Critical Chance. What role does it play in a build, if we should 50/50 our crit. dmg and (hunter/assassin/warrior dmg)?

Just do new game plus, you get 76 ability points from tombs and from the Atlantis DLC everytime, dude. I did 7 new game plus in total. It takes only 20 hours. That is 15 minutes per ability point. You will likely get a lot more from all the XP you will also collect.

20-25% of 400 is a good bit. It's almost as if it's like a ¼. Lol.
400 + 25 = 425 (+6.25%)
Did you even learn the difference between addition and multiplcation in 3rd grade, or did you quit school before?

The game does not do:
25 x 25 x 25 x 25 x 25%....
The game does 25 + 25 + 25 + 25 with your warrior damage. Because all values of the same type stack. They only get multiplcated by a different value, such as crit damage. And all the crit damage will stack also on itself. Like all warrior damage does.
If you have 400% warrior damage, and you add 25% warrior damage you get 425%!
