- Neutrik Ethercon connector carriers are really great to make ethernet cables more rugged and less annoying frankly. I show you how to quickly assemble the Neutrik N8mx-b connector carrier.

If you are using gear that supports these you have to use them. So much better to work with! Have you found the normal ethernet ends as annoying as I have?
How can i contact you for a few pointers?
@@DAgyemfra I could reply here to start. What do you need help with?
We use these on our equipment at work, thanks for the video on how they are assembled. I had to troubleshoot one 5 years ago, and it was the first time I had seen these. Thanks, very clear and precise instructions.
Glad it helped
A life-saving instruction!
Nice
Just wanted to say thank you. Great videos!
Hey thank you I really appreciate that
This has very helpful-thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Could you do a video with STP and show how to do the grounding to the ethercon Shell? I want to be able to repair my cables for my M32, and that's spec to have the grounds. Nice easy video.
I haven't actually connected STP with the ethercon shell. These are connnector carriers, so they had no way of doing that. I think you would need a different version of the ethercon end. I know they make one where you punch down right into the ethercon connector. That likely would be what you need. But they are a bit pricey.
I am not sure that you need to do anything special for these to work with STP. I just assembled two NE8MX connectors to a 100' long Cat5e STP cable. The collar is a snug fit going over the STP RJ45 connector and neither one of the strain reliefs were a good match for the wire I bought. However, when I tested my new cable using two Cat5e to XLR " Cat tails" with a condenser microphone, it passed phantom power and the mic worked. I also show continuity between the Ethercon shell and the metal housing around the RJ45 connector.
Great video. Simple and to the point!! Thank you :-).
Just wanted to ask if any CAT6 or CAT5e cable will work for Ethercon or do the pairs need to be crimped in a different order?
Any should work. There is an a standard and a b standard. Either should work with whatever cable, but sometimes there’s good reasons to use a different standard
@@churchaudiolife Thank you!! :-)
I like the concept, but none of my gear has ethercon female connectors. :(
That’s a shame. It’s super nice
Do they work with shielded rj45 connectors?
There is a wide range of RJ-45 connectors, but it should work with most of the shielded ones
