#Steam #IndieGames #SteamDeck - Hry
Unlike most "hidden gems" "obscure games" I've never actually heard of any of these games
ToW pfp checks out
I've only heard of Raw Metal, Ugly and Doomblade lol
Hey, I made Sebil Engineering. Thanks for covering it. This video was great, lots of cool looking games I've never seen.
Awesome, I just want more people to play your sick game!
How much do you make off something like that? Can you live off of it?
That's a lot of frog games.
Really popular protagonist for games.
Not enough
@@drstclair I've not seen a lot with frogs. Cats on the other hand are most definitely really popular protagonists.
never enough
How could you not like it? It has candy!
I have 290 hours in Vividlope, it's one of the best games I've played. Too much content for just 10 dollars, absolute train robbery of a steal
Well you're absolutely correct, considering how much I follow Indie games and I only knew around 10 games on this list they are true hidden games.
You punch way above your weight class, you need more subscribers
Thanks hopefully one day.
This might be the first legitimate list of obscure games. Well done.
Hey man awesome video. One point a couple of the games don't have links to their steam page in the description. Access Denied Escape and Bug Academy specifically.
Cheers from the Bosman Chat.
There's quite a lot of games in here that i've never heard of. More Indies that I ended up thinking look interesting than I assumed.
Personally i've been having a lot of fun with the likes of Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Soulstice, Cookie Cutter, No Straight Roads, Zet Zillions, Charlie Murder and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile and finding some interesting stuff in Blud, Harold Halibut, Deathbulge: battle of the Bands and Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip.
I'm currently looking forward to, or keeping my eye out for:
- Immortal: And the Death that Follows
- Loco Motive
- A big update for Cookie Cutter (the lead dev wants to substantially support it for a long time to come, bug fixes and new story DLC and quality-of-life improvements)
- The Mermaid Mask
- Whatever Amanita Design and Moonhood Studio are cooking up
- Near-mage
- Decline's Drops
- My Familiair
- Genokids
- Enenra Demon Core
- Ruffy and the Riverside
- Gori: Cuddly Carnage
- Yasuke: A Lost Descendant
- The Dungeon Experience
- Judero
- Resistor
- Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo
- Bad Boro
and I think that's it... for now.
I hope you may look up these games, that you may find them interesting and perhaps further spread word on them.
I'm an absolute indie game addict (I already own close to half of these), but my Steam wishlist still grew by 10 games by the end of the video. Really great work, and the video quality is high as well!
Dude, I really appreciate your work. Didn't know more than a half games here, now I have some gems to look into
Wow! What a great video! Thank you so much for covering these games. I’m one of those guys who constantly scours Steam for those true “hidden gem” indies, and it’s quite exhausting at times shoveling through all of the garbage. I appreciate your hard work and I’m very glad the algorithm brought me here.
Really enjoyed this video, as someone who plays a lot of indie games I still was able to find many games to buy/wishlist.
I have two games that I would reccomend that I feel are very underrated. Neither of them fit your criteria (one has fewer reviews and one has more reviews), but I would still like to throw them out there.
1. Super Mega Zero (19 reviews), this is one of the best and most creative platformers I've ever played. You play as a zero that can pick up various unique power=ups that changes how you play in very unique ways. It was even reviewed very well, and talked about in many podcasts I listen to, I don't understand why it's not more known.
2. Dialtown: A Phone Dating Sim (1460 reviews) this has many more reviews, but I haven't heard mych talk about it. It's one of the strangest and funniest games I've ever played. Just trust me on this one, it's bonkers, in a good way!
If people don't immediately go to the Steam page after interest in some of these games, a LOT of them have demos so you should check immediately.
Anyway I've ended up wishlisting like fifteen of the games mentioned (I'm big on metroidvanias). I only knew of one of them, and somehow didn't know Jupiter put anything on Steam despite playing all of their Picross games on the Switch! If your metric was "if even one person picks up one of these games then I did my job" then you knocked it out of the park!
What an insanely good list. Actually hidden games that look great. You seem to have great taste
Thanks so much for this. I’m a huge indie advocate and games like these are exactly the kind of thing I look for and appreciate the most. You’re doing God’s work, sir.
Actual underrated games??? In MY underrated games video???
Thank you for this, you are doing Steam God's work
Fun fact, Logiart Grimoire is actually made by the original team that made Picross!
Semblance looks insane. I can't believe a game of that quality has gone that unnoticed.
This is a incredible list. Usually underrated games lists either show games that aren't underrated or that look like they probably aren't that good. This one struck the perfect balance of showing really rare games that actually look like they have a lot to offer.
Some great choices on here. The handful I've actually heard of before are mostly from seeing them played at Games Done Quick (like Semblance). Finally someone that understands what "hidden treasures" means.
A lot of suggestions I've never heard of in this vid. Refreshing to not have the same old games popping up in every other vid. I've just picked up a few from this - thanks!
well obviously since we talking about sharing choice hidden gems it's my duty to share a bit of my own stash:
Copy Kitty
Magenta Horizon
Starward Rogue
Khimera: Puzzle Island
Super Magbot
Sunblaze
Neverawake
Epic Battle Fantasy Collection
Chessplosion
Straimium Immortaly
Tasty Planet Forever
Nowhere Patrol
Devader
Wonderputt Forever
Ellipsis
also honorary mentions to 'Dodgeball Academia' and 'Magicat' which are between 350-400 reviews but i won't accept not getting to put them down here too
Amazing collection of games here, I will totally be covering a few in the future! Thanks for the heads ups on these!
backfirewall is my favourite game of all time. nice to see it get some attention as its criminally underrated
While I can safely and sadly say not a lot of these really appealed to me besides a couple I can always appreciate finally seeing more unique recommendations than the same 5 AAA titles or the same Indie recommendations, definitely earned a sub
I’m leaving myself this comment to record the games that stuck out to me, for future reference.
The Multi-Medium
Micron
Semblance
Mixolumia
Mysteries Under Lake Ophelia
Access Denied Escape
Frog’s Adventure
Bug Academy
Promenade
An English Haunting
Backfirewall
Even the games in this video that don’t fit my relatively narrow interests still fall into the category of, “I can see how someone else would have fun with this; I’m glad it exists.” A nicely curated video, good work.
Yoo thank you for including RoboDunk! Personal favorite I didn't know about: Bat Boy. Great video.
It's such a fun game. Makes me feel like a modern take on NBA Jam with weapons.
@@drstclair Thank you! That's exactly what I set out to make.
Bro this list is hitting for the summer sale wtf good stuff
This video is pure gold. Well put together and covering actual hidden gems. Two thumbs up!
I'm in actual awe. I'm usually up on alot of the obscure indie games but I added so many to my wishlist after watching this video. Amazing job
My man did it, looks like I have more indies to be intrigued by while I work through my backlog of classics.
Thats what i needed thank you!
You may want to look at these games:
Noita
Rock of Ages
Overgrowth
I’m on steam all the time looking for good games and most of these I’ve never heard of. Thank you for this !
Wow, these are actually HIDDEN gems. I dig all the metroidvania love, thanks for the recs!
"Oh surprise, that´s a good one," *wishlisting* (repeat).
Great Video!
Wow this video was an underrated gem in its own right! I loved the presentation pacing etc and I haven’t heard of most of the games on this list, which is super refreshing. I had to subscribe 👀 looking forward to more videos!
also: The Void Rains Upon Her Heart. great game in early access
Wow, this is a highly concentrated amount of quality in 1 list. Good job
Glad you think so!
Great great effort, love the selection and the pacing of the video. Well done, mate
This needs more attention than what it has right now, such a well-made video and an incredible list.
Wow, thank you!
Happy to see Garlic on the list. Love that game.
Editing for the lake Ophelia section was great haha
Glad you liked it!
EXCELLENT video! Added like 10 new games to my wishlist and just picked up UGLY there, really piqued my interest!
Shout out to Unidentified Falling Objects, one of my fave games!
Most of these I didnt know, and they actually look great.
(Also the thank you for watching killed me)
That sure is a true hidden games video!
Art style of An English Haunting is too good!
Bro that was a fantastic video, first actual "hidden gems" video I've seen. Many thanks!
Great video very nicely put together! Good work on the editing, and very nice picks, I just bought and wishlisted most of them! :D
Great video that really delivered on it's promise. I already wishlisted a buncha of these. Thanks for making it.
good job covering real hidden gems! subscribed
definitely added a few of these to my wishlist, and even found that a couple of them already were! great content, got a new sub!
Thanks for putting this together! It must have taken forever
Brilliant list. Missed lots of these and I love indie/old school style games. Subbed
This was a fantastic watch! I appreciate the effort which went into compiling all of these games into a simple comprehensive video. If there's any chance the creator is reading this, I would love to know how you discovered each of these games, how do you normally go about finding these wonderful but lesser known titles?
There's SteamDB and www.lorenzostanco.com/lab/steam/ that are useful tools that help a lot by filtering things out. I wouldn't be able to find a majority of what I do without them. edit: also I buy a ton of game bundles lol.
This earned a subscription from me! Keep it up man, I put at least ten of these on my list.
Good vid. Play Urban Lockdown or Crown Jewelz on Steam next :)
a lot of great looking games on this list that i hadn't heard of before! i only knew a handful of them. also not sure if it would qualify for your list because it has a little over 700 reviews, but Levelhead is a super underrated platformer maker game (similar to Mario Maker) that deserves more attention!
Thank you. I picked up , wally and the fantastic predators, access denied: escape, and Mysteries under lake Ophelia.
Very cool list! A few I've known but most are completely new to me so my ever-widening wishlist grows fatter! Keep up the great work!
Looking forward to hopping into these games ;P Thanks for sharing!
There's a lot here that I need to play as soon as I can, and the stuff that wasn't interesting to me I still know people who will love to play them, so yeah, every game in this video has at least +1 new fan from me and my group of friends
I dont know how much i wishlisted but i loved the frog and nature games, really great list. Ty for all the gaming inspiration
Glad you like them!
Great job putting this list together!
I can absolutely vouch for doomblade, I played it earlier this year and it's amazing!!
This video came out the perfect time for me. Steam summer sale time and I'm working on my own video like yours that has some different games. Great video!
Added 10 Games and I have been very picky. Another one I had already in my pile of shame Libary. Great video, great suggestions. I instantly subscribed to your channel.
Super high quality video. Got a new sub right here
Sick video again man wtf great job curating that list, so many amazing games
Fantastic list and great editing. Thanks
This is an awesome list man! If you have plans to make another similar video like this that would be insane. You deserve more subs man!
Yeah, I'm planning on making more videos like this. The next one will probably be like half as many games, but yeah, if you want to learn about cool under the radar stuff, stick around!
First time watching any of your content. Have to say im super impressed. Normally, I'll find maybe 2 or 3 games on a list this size I have never heard of. Think 75% of these are new to me. Thanks so much for the recommendations. Alough my wallet is going to be crying w the Summer Sale still going on
This is an awesome video, and I commend advocates like you for the time you put in to your search and championing words for each of these games. I've put a fair few on my playlist but have insta-bought Ugly to play over this weekend. Thank you, and I've subbed too :)
Also, minor rant: It's crazy how shite Steam is at making these kinds of games visible at all. With the amount here that I've both never heard of and are right up my alley, I would've expected at least a couple of them to have shown up on the Interactive Recommender for me, but NOPE; despite all of the ways I try to get it to show me something new, I swear it only ever shows the same 30 or so games for me. Makes me doubly thankful for channels like this one and Best Indie Games.
I just want to say, while I am not interested in pretty much any of these, well done putting in the work, research, editing, effort to make this well compiled and thought out video instead of falling for the, all too common now and will be more common in the future, trap of using AI to put a script, list, and possibly even video together. There is so much AI garbage out there already and it is only going to get worse and ruin CZcams in the end. It is refreshing to see a CZcamsr refusing to go that route and instead making quality content. So, good job man.
this video was awesome, ive only seen like 2 of these games before which is insane to me dude. love.
this vid was awesome, all truly truly hidden gems and I added about 10 of them to my wishlist. Thank you :D
Awesome video!! Added about a dozen games to my wishlist! Keep it up!
Thanks! Will do!
great video, wishlisted several of these. Too bad I didn't see this video a few days, bc i'm done with my steam summer sale purchases, already got 10 games lol.
bravo! i've been loving your videos recently and will have to check out a good handful of these games if i can ever find the time 😅
Actually found some hidden gems in this list. subscribed :)
Actually when I saw batboy i thought of Shovel Knight, but that may be my gaming preference showing
Wow what a video. I already own and knew many of them but I also discovered many others I wouldn't have otherwise! And of course, I've found a new great channel to follow!
That was a great video! Finally a ton of games for my wishlist! thanks!
I've heard of maybe five of these (plus I know who Sokopop are). Genuine unknown gems. You have earned the coverted 'eh, I guess this channel's worth a sub?'. No, but seriously. Good work finding all these.
Good god. You just cost me so much money in the best way. I haven't heard of so many of these, and that's... unusual. Subscribing.
please bro, my wallet can only take so much
Multi medium is currently on sale👀
great video. thanks. added a bunch of things to my wishlist :)
That intro slaps
One indie game you should try is Daydreamer: Awakened Edition.
Some phenomenal games are coming and already out. This was a great list.
Well made list, thanks. Great games
What's up with all of these Frog games all of a sudden.
GLYPH MENTIONED LEZ GO
Wow first game in and I'm already wishlisting 😂 / edit: I LOVE dynamic stealth and equally interesting combat and Raw Metal 100% deserves so much more love
Great channel, subscribed
Cool video, I knew some of these so that was a nice surprise.
Did you play all of these games or was it more of a systematic analysis?
The latter, I want to get to them all. I have played a bunch, but I just want to help point out what I can regardless.
@@CABROWN Ah fair enough
great great great video, I wishlisted at least 40 of these games
Glad you enjoyed!
Its interesting how many of these are puzzle, metrovanias, or platformer games
What an absolutely wonderful video. I love this
Paneliki should be in here its an awesome game
I think alot people miss one gem called A Short Hike.
