I am Malaysian Chinese. I know it's just a joke. My brother loves Chinese food , I prefer malay and Indian food. For me sometimes living in a multi racial country I never heard people calling others racist even though they are really racist. I don't know about other race. Racist always happens in our society. When I order a meal from a malay stall as a Malaysian Chinese sometimes they packed the food for the malays that comes later than me. Not all of them is racist . There is a situation where my motorcycle spoil in a high way. There are good hearted malay motorcycle riders are willing to help me push my motorcycle to the petrol station. As for Indian , sometimes when you ride a motorcycle suddenly they hon for no particular reason. Then shout and scold you. They just get angry very fast and sometimes it's their fault and blame it on others. However there are good Indians that like to help poor people by giving free food and donations in the temple . Even though I am Malaysian Chinese I hate those Racist Malaysian Chinese talk all those nonsense that China is the greatest nation and China knows everything. American is just bullying others and all those nonsense thing about malay and Indian ... you know what I mean. To be honest there are still many good people in Malaysia. I hate it when people said the word " Hak pak Seong mo. Which is Cantonese translated to English " Black and white ghost. .. which is describing mixed race Malaysian people. The moral of my story is every one in Malaysia is different. We should respect each and accept that we are different. Its like wife and husband have different entertainment. Wife likes Korean drama husband likes English premier league.
No la actually majority Cina eat no concern one. Anything sedap we layan saja x kisah race religion or whatever. Malay has their religious concern so it's natural they've to consume food that's safe and halal for them.

As a Muslim, I wont eat at any non Muslim restaurant without the Halal cert UNLESS I know the taukey personally and trusted him/her not to put non halal ingredient in my food. also not to cook my food with kitchen utensils already used to cook non halal food.
There’re lots of bengkel melayu in my area but mostly I went to the Chinese. But food topic is very hard. Halal is not just about babi & alcohol. If you use same utensils to cook non halal also cannot. Not slaughter properly also cannot. But no one really knows so I just avoid when possible. Just like mamak. just my opinion, because i personally don thk wet char kuay teow would be tastier than original, it just feel weird because we already use to it. Just like malaysia 蠔煎 and taiwan 蠔煎 (same food), i went to taiwan tried 蠔煎, their 蠔煎 also wet and i feel like malaysia version is better. Dont get me wrong, most of my meal is malay food, but not char kuay teow XO
I think got different, although they all called char kue tiew but there are variant too, the Malay dried one almost the same as Chinese one and as for some at my place that put some special kuah one is even nicer, and another one that is wet I think they called kue tiew kerang, although it is called char kue tiew stall too... I get someone that dislike the wet one as some stall that is quite unsanitary that just put the "kerang" and add up with the bloody water into the broth that makes the taste really like bloody hell. As for me I dislike the kerang so I ask for non kerang one and they make it with some spice sos and the taste is great... The wet chat kue tiew is like chinese "char Hor fan" but with a twist of spiciness from our country.
