while the thing with the wok being used to cook babi is true, the manners in which the chicken (or cow) was slaughtered will also determined whether the food served is halal or not.there are specific ways to do it so the meat can be considered halal (does not apply to babi). that's why if a non Muslim restaurant get the halal certificate from Jakim then the Muslims (not only Malays lahh) can eat there. no need to bring your Muslim friend to mamak only.
Vegetarians are also troublesome ppl too! Usually we break up from them by saying we have errands to run at certain place and eat pork dishes ourselves. In same team doesn't mean must eat together to be in social harmony
