Beautiful! Is the middle loop also known as the back loop?
Since this piece is made using entirely half double crochets, the back loop is actually the middle loop. Half double crochets always have 3 loops, the front loop and the back loop (like a normal single crochet stitch), and an extra loop behind the back loop. Since there's 3, the back loop is the one in the middle. Hope this helps!
that cut right at the colorchange??? what am i supposed to do there
This was very hard to watch, the white (feather wing) made everything look fuzzy, lol. And, how do we make the opposite wing? With this, we'll have two right-facing wings. I'm by no means complaining, but everybody that does wings only does one wing...right handed...and then when we attach the wing, the "outer" side of the wings are facing the same way.
