C4Zero probably because in the first trailer kratos asks the kid if his mother taught him to hunt, so that tells us kratos entered his life when the mother dies, probably
One thing to note in the trailer that the women state "The Gods of this *REALM* don't take kindly to *OUTSIDER* " . What-if that this is indeed a new realm/dimension where Norse Gods rule. Of course the Kratos is still the same Kratos, but maybe something happen to him getting him transported into this Norse realm, possibly at the end of GOW3. We don't know what actually happen to Kratos in GOW3 ending, we just see his trail of blood goes towards the ocean.
Mady Sham no the game director stated in an interview that in the god of war universe gods live in the same world in harmony so if kratos for example went to egypt he would find egyptian gods. You can even see that in the game god of war chains of olympus where kratos is fighting the persian army and when he meets the persian general he refers to the gods of olympus as YOUR gods.
God of War looks awesome! Hate they changed the Kratos actor but I like what I see.
No no no, the voice actor, TC Carson was the voice of Kratos up to this point. The guy the have now, I think used to be on Stargate SG1. His voice does work but I miss the original one.

Alex Mansfield I met TC at the airport. He told me Sony wanted to go in a different direction with the character. Nothing about his voice at all.

The Serpent probably needs help killing Thor.
Tyrone in case you were wondering,the snake at the end is the Midgard Serpent,in the myths it's portayed as the child of Loki,it was also what killed Thor in the original myth. the wolf is Fenrir and also the child of loki.

If I'm not mistaken Thor is the one who kills Jormungand the World Serpent that is so large it can wrap itself around the world. Although Thor also dies.
The creature at the end of the trailer is Jörmungandr.His son is half nord half greek.I think his mother is nordic thats why he can speak in nordic language with creatures.
The world eater (snake at the end) is actually the monster that brings about and kicks off Ragnarok (fate of the gods) according to Norse mythology which basically ends in all but two gods dying.
imagine if the had a thor game like this and it went off of the whole god butcher arc it would be sooo epic!
It seems with every new Sony first party release you just have to say " nothing will ever top this!! " but then the next one comes out and your mind is just blown apart by just how damn good it all looks. First with Infamous and Driveclub, then with Uncharted 4 and The Order, then with Horizon and now again with God of War.
I mean that World Serpent just looked better than any model ive ever seen in a game and that is saying alot considering the creatures size. Barlog is back directing and God of War is back baby. This looks AMAZING
Low key laughed when the World Serpent rose up cuz I imagined it yelling out "Atreyu!"... Having a luck dragon with you is the only way to go on a quest lol. But seriously, the game looks amazing.
*Jormungandyr* (The World Serpent) is the offspring of Loki. She is as big as she can be, since she englobes the entire world (or most of it anyway).
She is also set to have a pivotal role in Ragnarök, since she is is responsible for the destruction of Midgard (Earth) and the death of Thor.

I want SONY to bring GoW into the modern era of war,I just want to see what Kratos can do with modern weapons.
If Kratos can stop enemies in their tacks with a Medusa severed head or blind'em with the Sun God's head and other Ancient magical beings body parts,can you imagine what Kratos could do with modern and nuclear weapons??And GoW 1 did end with with modern day soldiers fighting and paying tribute to Kratos with the narrator saying "but temple had more surprises in store",what if they ended the Ancient Kratos story there and started a new one at that point??Think of it as a GoW/CALL OF DUTY:MODERN WARFARE crossover.Call it "CALL OF DUTY:God Of Warfare! The world serpent and the creature from the other trailer trailer were speaking old Norse, that little boy can speak norse while Kratos cannot. This game revolves around Norse mythology with Thor Loki Odin the draugrs and so on. I hope Odin is the boss fight

So the whole thing is that Kratos already had a family and Ares tricked him into killing them and that's how he got the chain weapons then he killed Ares, became the new God of War then Zeus feared him and tried to kill him so Kratos decided to kill all the Gods in 3, now he went to the Nordic side of things and I guess he's trying to start anew

THEORY:
After killing the Greek gods... Kratos has retired in the Viking realm. Now its fighting in that setting. The reason why those gods don't like him. The World Serpernt is the Ragnorok ( End of Everything )... thats why it want's to help Kratos so he can start the Ragnorok.
I just realized kratos is voice acted by christopher judge, how did I not know that....
i think this might be the final game and the language was Norse and the world serpent is almost the only thing Thor can't beat in the actual Norse mythology
