Their is actually a song about Kratos killing every Greek God and it pretty much goes like that.

Their are no Christain "Gods" their is The Christain God. Christianity believes in only a single God. Now The Angels are a different story all the Angels in Christianity and Catholisim and Judaism have specific jobs and the species of Angels have specific elements and powers unique to them. Uriel could be considered The Angel of War. He was known to very dutiful and ready for a fight, he watches over many Soldiers and warriors. Raziel is the keeper of Knowledge and Secrets and guards The Knowledge of Heaven from both Man and Demon. Azazel I believe his name was is The OG Angel of Death armed with a knife and poison he was the only angel who is truly immortal. Their is a Breed of Angel who seem to be born for fighting called Powers and is possibly the origin for the word "Power" as we use it now. They are described as giants, extremely powerful and monstrous looking, Samael is one of the most famous of them being so massive he stretches past several layers of Heaven, he is covered in eyes so that nothing can escape.

No it's a years after God of War 3. They've already confirmed that.
My guess is that after he killed all the Greek gods he went somewhere new to start fresh. Met a woman, had a child woman died. You can see right after the kid shoots at the deer the first time in the upper left corner a rage meter start to fill up and it goes away when he exhales. They said this game is in large part about Kratos trying to teach his son to be a god and his son teaching Kratos to be human again.
It looks freaking epic. I'm also impressed with two things. 1) This was actual gameplay, they had a dude playing it live. 2) the voice acting is really well done. I swear when he shoots the deer at the end and says " I got it" there's a sound of pride in Kratos' voice when he says "good".

I was glad to see/hear that it was Christopher Judge who voiced him, love that guy! Miss Stargate SG1, where he played Teal´c. His voice fits perfectly and Im glad he is back in a big franchise again!

This takes place after God of war 3 and kratos is basically older calmer and tryin to live a new life
at least trying to be calm, when he's scolding the BOY!! for missing the shot, you can see his rage meter starting to fill up, then he takes a breath and calms down

It's weird because wasn't the Earth basically destroyed because Kratos killed the gods? It doesn't really make any sense if it is the same Kratos and the same universe.
Kratos took that arrow like a beast and then took it out like its nothing
that bow is really inconsistent. if it is to be drawn by a child, it probably isn't very heavy. if it isn't very heavy, it's logical that Kratos took it out like it's nothing. But then the same bow takes down an elk. so, either the kid has inherited kratos' power and is really strong, and the bow he is drawing is a heavy hunting bow and kratos tanked it because, well, he is kratos. or the bow changes in draw weight.
Remember, Kratos is super human, so maybe his son is stronger than he looks.

Don't get this game if you haven't played the others (1,2,3) it'll change the dynamic of the game and create a lackluster feeling of character development

+Breammummy did you put enough play time in? Because by the end I felt like a Witcher expert with how well crafted the story is/was. Witcher 3 has the option to give back story or just skim over it, if you chose to just rush through conversations then yes you wouldn't be able to get into the story.

Basically cratos used to be a Spartan until he killed the God of war Aries (Greek mythology) and then systematically took down the gods of olympus. I'm guessing that this is him in Norse mythology ( like Thor, Odin etc.) witch would explain the dragons
This takes place after GOW3. The original games took place in Greek Mythology, but this one is in Norse mythology. Kratos killed Ares, making him the new God of war. He continued to murder and all that in the other games. I'm not gonna spoil God of War 3. God of War 3 recaps everything. Kratos is also a beast at everything he does. He also killed his first family and that's what made his skin ash white, because his families ashes became a part of him. He was also a Spartan commander.

The director said that only his son can understand their language, not Kratos or us obviously. As you can see he did say "wait" from his son's pov.

+Tyrone Magnus In previous God of Wars (1-3), Kratos kills all the main/major Greek gods, legends, deities, and monsters. Now, in the newest God of War, Kratos is going to be in Norse Mythology (Thor, Loki, etc.). Plus, the troll he kills in the trailer isn't even a boss, it's just a recurring enemy.

Kratos was a Spartan, he went through the most brutal military training starting from the age of 5 or so. He never had a parent and doesn't know what it means to be a parent.

Hey, Tyrone, the guy who does his voice was a character on the show "Living Single". if you've ever watched that.
This was a walk in the park for Kratos. That scrub enemy he combos with his fists actually died the first punch. Kratos was just so frustrated with his son he needed a body to take it out on. Lol !!!

Long story short - The other God of War games were essentially about Kratos killing the Greek Gods. He was a Spartan, and his wife and daughter were killed, which ended up starting the cycle of him being an amoral killing machine. The last game finished that arc. This one is special because 1) they're clearly in Norse lands, and 2) Kratos actually seems to have something of his humanity. So it looks like it's AFTER the other games, but he's no longer the monster that he was.
I appreciate everything in God of war the 📊 and game play something new amazing and fun more than ever.
to save time, the story is: kratos is a Spartan who killed Ares to become the God of war, Ares isn't the only one he killed by far, (to not spoil God of war three) he wanted revenge on zues who became corrupt after he killed Ares. if I messed something up please correct me.

this game follows kratos after the events of god of war 3. The developers said that this game takes place sometime after God of War 3 and kratos is still aware of the events that took place previously
Kratos is literally the greatest badass of all time. He was a caring father & husband who's warrior ambition got the better of him. He was tricked by the original God of War Ares into killing his own family & Kratos went buck wild as a result. The Greek Gods didn't stand a chance. This seems to be the very same Kratos (he has the same battle scars from those games) who's now much older and extremely restrained from his vengeful days many years prior. Now he's facing the Norse Gods in possibly an even larger conflict. He's killed off every God & Titan alike before. Odin, Thor, Loki & the Ice Giants have met their match. Calling this epic is a major understatement.
I like the fact that they do keep Kratos' personality. He has always been very stern but yet calm at the same time with the young one. He was always stern to his daughter Calliope but also in the way where he is also calm to her. He also has a new family with a new journey, A New Beginning. I like Kratos' beard, it is so dope. For Kratos, this change to me means that he is breaking the cycle of his very own violence, distrust and deception that of his family, the Greek pantheon, perpetuated for so long in his life. That cycle drove a whole host of his bad decisions, the ill fated deal with Ares that he mad, the murder of his family that he could never forget and lived in nightmares over it and the rage fueled descent into his madness and his vengeance that practically ended with the destruction of Olympus.

I have a theory. You know how people keeps saying that why is the setting in Norse mythos now? I think because that in the end of God of War 3, when Kratos stabbed himself. He released a large amount of power from the pandora's box and also everything he acquired from all his experience. Thus losing his chains that attaches to the Blades. Then Athena said "No! That was my power! They don't know what to do with it!" Implying that there is still people around the world, so Kratos didn't completley destroy the world, just part of it. Then the powers that Kratos released were probably acquired by other beings (humans). Then those humans turned into "gods" aka Odin, Thor, Loki etc. Since the creator said that in this time setting (years after gow3), nordic gods were walking on the earth with other humans. That would make sense.
I had no idea that Kyle from "Living Single" voiced Kratos in the previous games. Now the guy who played Teal'c from "Stargate SG-1" is voicing him.

From what I can guess and know, this is a sequel to the other god of wars as there's a certain feature you can see on Kratos that kinda confirms it which i won't spoil. Since the previous god of wars are set in Greek myth, this one is set in Norse myth in Scandinavia during the migrant era where apparently the gods walked the earth before the viking age started.
This is a continuation of the first three. He's much older now, and tried to start a new family.
the mountain that kratos stares at, at the end of the footage is the remains of mount Olympus.
Kratos is the God of War so logically his little boy will be the God of Play Fights.

God of War 1 to 3 was Kratos killing every Greek Mythological monsters, heroes, titans and gods till Zeus in the most brutal and awesome ways you could think of.
Now it seems he lived through the ages to Viking era and is gonna bring Ragnarok to the Norse Pantheon, so you can see why fans are so amped up for this (cant wait for Kratos vs Thor lmao XD)
