- Mark Sears has made his decision: it's The Tide. Over the last few weeks, the discussion around Sears intensified as his future was incredibly uncertain. Will he get a guarantee he likes from the NBA? Will he return to Tuscaloosa? What will Alabama's roster look like? All of these have now been answered with the NCAA deadline for players to withdraw and remain eligibility ending on Wednesday at 11:59. The SEC basketball landscape just got even more competitive with Sears return and it's not even June.

Sears, wrightsell, youngblood, nelson, and cliff will start. By end of year itll be sears, youngblood, reid, grant, and cliff. Auburn returns a good bunch but not enought size inside
To get both Sears and Stevenson back is fantastic. This makes me more excited and yearning for next basketball season.
Bama made tourney in 2012, lost to Creighton by 1
Happy that both players are returning. Neither was good enough to warrant staying in the draft, and I despise college players getting bad advice and making poor (short-term) career decisions.
Reid is lottery pick potential guy. He will find a way to start and have Wrightsell be a sixth man. That lineup offers great size and shooting
If Mark has another season averaging 20 points and we make it to the final four again, guaranteed he will be drafted in the first round. Yeah he's under 6 ft tall but is a natural scorer... Basically a smaller version of brunson
He's 5'10. Of course he came back
Darrion Ried will start, wrightsell wont. Oats is going to match up defensively each game so the starters will change sometimes.
Who plays the 2 I think it’ll be Sears, Wrightsell, Reid, Nelson, and cliff. Wrightsell wasn’t why we struggled defensively we had no rim protection so we had to hedge every screen. Plus he’s to valuable on offense
@@jaxongriffith5321 sears isn’t a point guard in Nate oats system he’s a 2 he played the 2 spot majority of the ncaa tournament. so either Aiden Holloway will start point or one of the other transfers.
@@darnellrtr252 Sears could easily run the point, there’s no player who has the ball every possession and establishes the offense, plus why would you want Aden beside Sears when you literally have the most efficient shooter in the conference. Plus I would want the ball in Sears hands the most like it was literally all of last season. His usage was easily the highest on the team
@@jaxongriffith5321 looking at our roster you want a pass first guy running point. Sears is a scorer a shoot first player year it worked last year because we didn’t have many ball handlers or scoring options. Last year we missed jahvon quinerly’s ability to facilitate the offense. Sears got better at it but hes better when he’s playing the 2 his natural position.
@@darnellrtr252 we “missed JQ” but had the 2nd best offense in the country, we did not miss JQ, our offense is not a we need a facilitator, it’s a drive and kick, screen and pop, horns action, and get up and down the court. You say we missed JQ for his facilitating when he never averaged more then 4 assists a game just like Sears, trust me when I say there is way more value having wrightsell on the court then Aden idk how you watched last season and didn’t see that, our offense and defense tanked further when he was hurt.
bama is loaded for sure...Sears is a dog.. plus a bunch of returning talent.. either AU or UAT will win the SEC
Yeah, kinda nice having both
Bama and Auburn as possible
best 2 teams in SEC with all that deprh
poor Aden...got sold another dream
Except at Bama there's a good chance the dream will come true.
He ll shine in the pace and space at bama
