He's not half apache, his aunt used to role and sell cigarettes on to the native Americans, and she dressed as the natives. He picked up his dress wear from her. He's highly respectful of the culture, but he is not 1% native. I still really like the guy, but that's a fun little fact.

Then other family member's started wearing Native American attire and it continued to the point the family assumed the great aunt was Native American but she was European. It doesn't take a very smart person to look at Dog and see that he's not Native American. It's a major insult to actual Native Americans to wear their attire and claim to be them when you're a descendent of a colonizer..
