Islam came to Somalia 🇸🇴 while Rasullah was still alive, during the Hijra to Habasha. There is still a masjid(but in ruins) left in Saylac, Somalia 🇸🇴 in the northern Coast called Masjid al-Qiblatayn. Saylac was a ancient somali port city at that time, not part of the Habasha empire of Nejasi..I heard stories from my elders that we Somalis embraced Islam through Jaffar ibn Abu Talib(and the other companions that were with him during the 2nd Hijra) and that some stayed and married somali women, but Allah knows best. The sheikh in this video is truly correct about the fact that all people before Islam believed in Tawheed. At that time, before the arrival of Islam, Somalis believed in a god called Waaq. We didn’t have idols and believed he was the god up in the heavens. It makes sense why we Somalis as a nation easily embraced Islam when it came to us.

Wallahi I just got goosebumps. I can't even speak properly because I feel like if I open my mouth I'm going to start crying. The struggles those people went through so we can live at our current times peaceful. We need to remember that there was no planes or trains or cars. For these blessed people to go to the opposite sides of earth whilst spreading Islam how strong does ones will power have to be?? This is a journey that takes may years, they leave their homes knowing they wouldn't return there. They leave everything behind for the sake of Allah. I can't stop tearing at this. And what do we do in return?? We fight between us. Call other Muslims Non-muslims because of their beliefs being slightly different than ours. Some of us despite being born as Muslims leave Islam for a different religion because of minor things such as their prayer not being accepted. My fellow brothers and sisters ..don't let their hard work their sacrifice go to waste and hang on tight to your deen not matter what happens. There's a hadith that says Allah would test people that he likes with hardship, it happened to the Prophets and the people before us. So if you're going through hardship of any sort just know that it's only a minor test from Allah because he likes you. May Allah Bless this Sheikh for bringing us this untold history that wouldn't be found elsewhere and May Allah reward all these who contributed to the spread of the deen and grant them the highest levels of Jannah and May Allah make all of us of these who follow them there. Ameen.

Taki Eddine , i am talking about religion and not what people do or don't in Burma or elsewhere. Not because some people born on Buddhist country, does not mean they know or act on Buddhism. Buddhism has no violence in any shape or form. Buddhism has no single word encourage killing in any shape or form for any living being. all other religion promote hatret and violence. killing is a norm for them starting from animal sacrification. Buddha is the only one who discovered truth of all truth. the formation of all lives, what makes the lives suffering and the way to end suffering.

In buddhism, therere is none "sutra" interpretted in different people by differently. if Buddha says "Don't kill", one of the main five precepts, he explains why he said that. the consequence of act of killing and the benefit of not taking any lives. There is a difference in Muslims being peaceful and Religion of Islam being peaceful. Islam preaches peace and the Muslims who are not peaceful are definitely not following the preaching of Islam.
Having said that every one has the right to defend them selves. If there is oppression in the society then armed Jihad ( which btw literally means Effort in the path of Allah) is allowed and definitely who takes part in it is definitely a pious human being.
Jihad means to carry out a devoted effort and to strive for Allah and it's religion. This effort in some instances require war.
Now I know there are violent groups in the world who are doing dirty deeds in the name of Islam ( according to them) but it does not make the religion anti- peace.
USA nuked Japan and killed hundred of thousands of people. Civilian causalities in this incident were unimaginable. Does it make Christianity the religion of war???? No, it does not.

I look at Mahatma Gandhi as a divine being. Not human, above human. Not God, of course, but the nearest to God as man can be. He managed to free India from colonization without a war, without a single bloodshed. And he opened the way for all the european colonies in the world to get freed one by one. And more important than all : he was humble, humble enough to speak good about other religions. The day a muslim will speak good of Gandhi (as he himself spoke good of Muhammad), then I will look at Islam as a superior religion. But until now muslim people only know being arrogant, self-minded, and intolerant. That man was way above humanity by his wisdom and humility - he raised himself as the highest of men by putting himself down by humility : that is divine. That's my opinion.

Not the Muslims, they were suffering at the hands of the European Christian, and were with him in the struggle. I am not not going to bother saying anything more because you've said enough. I'm only very young I'm still not a teen or even a pre-teen and I just read some hateful comments about Islam and my God Allah and the Quran!! I'm crying my eyes out because I'm reading people say that my god is false and everything was made by Christians and that Allah gave us zero!!
