I did not saw this coming when I played the game for the first time and I was like what the heck
Ok thank you very much
Very well video made is a movie like presentación I love it thank you
@ItsATwinThingYT
Hey, love your profile picture though lol! Great edit btw.
in the end, ellie faces her biggest fear. she has no one. not even joels song, she cant even play his song. shes truly alone
Can anyone tell me something does Dina and her baby dies or they are safe
@@ShwetaSingh-kw9oi in the scene where it starts with ellies lost fingers she wears Dina's bracelet which means after she had the fight with abby she returned to jackson where dina and jj were. Then someday came back to the farm
please stop im gonna cry
There's a nice detail in the last scene of the game, you can see the bracelet on Ellies hand, she only went back to the farm house to say bye to Joel ( guitar )
yeah,poor girl :(
Joel: *is scared of losing another daughter*
Ellie: *is scared of ending up alone*
:(
Oh no
And she did. "GREAT"!!
And both got what they’re afraid of.
No not true she is not scared anymore.
That last part where Ellie says "Im scared of ending up alone" sent chills down my spine.
Yeah, it's a powerful quote. I love it!

Honestly. No matter if people don't like the second Game or not. This Game has such a special place in my heart. And it will always stay there
That's what is most important to you, if you liked it that's all that matters, regardless of what anyone else says. 👍
While I have lots of gripes for the game it really hold a special place for me and shit I was going through
it breaks my heart how she says she was scared of ending up alone and then at the end she just, ends up alone, it hurts
i know :(. can’t believe dina took jj and left. if there isn’t a part 3 to figure out where dina is and see if the firefly outpost is legit, imma flip shit
@@lilnugget4222 She wasn't left alone in the end. If you noticed the details, she was wearing Dina's bracelet again plus the fact that she wasn't too surprised when she saw the house being abandoned. I think her and Dina were already fixed to living in Jackson again but Ellie decided to leave her stuff in the house to maybe move on better, her leaving the guitar shows it. In the end, she's not alone, but having Joel not by her side makes her feel like she's in an empty space, it'll take time before she accepts the reality she chose.
PundaBoi woah that actually makes lots of sense. good catch
@@lilnugget4222 Plus, she doesn't carry her weapons

Don't forget Lee and Clementine
Quinsalyn Tisdom their relationship isn’t as great as Ellie-Joel for me like theirs something missing with them.
@@uchiwamadara4614 I still think both relationships are great equally.😁
When I completed the game the first time I felt so angry and so hurt. I was literally sitting on my ass not knowing what to do with my life. No game has ever made me feel so many different things all at once. I loved Neil’s writing in the first game and I love it even more after playing the 2nd game.
It’s such a heartbreaking story but I still love it because it’s provocative, terrifying, sad and beautiful all at once.
After 3 playthroughs and 6 months later i still cant forget about these characters...its crazy..i need part III
If we get one I want returning survivors form the first 2 ( bill, Tommy, Abby, lev, Ellie, and Dina ) and more references to characters who didn’t survive ( Tess, henry and Sam, Owen, jerry, marline,)
When he died I couldn’t sleep and thinking about Ellie’s back story just made me cry she lost Tess and everybody she loved has left or died 😢
Abby still should have died
Bruce Straley wrote the first game
Don’t care what anyone else says, this game is a masterpiece😭
Fuck YEAH !!
Definitely a masterpiece. Probably my favorite story based game ever. It's a close nit between RDR2, Uncharted 4, and both TLOU1 and 2.
And then comes the 3rd part of the game which is even more dark.
It's not a master piece but it is very good
exactly
“What are you doing kiddo?” ...... wow 😭
And it's make Ellie stop killed Abby
@@lauraeirene6271 it's makes sense now... what a game..
Why does Naughty Dog insist on making this girl's life a living nightmare? She never knew her parents, grew up during the apocalypse, never had a real childhood, her best friend and love interest was bitten, she was nearly raped, killed, and eaten by a cannibalistic pedophile, her father figure was brutally murdered in front of her, a lot of her friends died, she lost her girlfriend and her surrogate son, and she lost two fingers and her ability to play the guitar. All of this before she's even turned 20.
Ellie deserves to be happy. Seeing all this horrific stuff happen to her just breaks my heart.
So they can make a part 3 with the she hulk most likely 😂 they basically fucked over all of the good characters from the 1st one for these new trash cans
Nolan Pauley It’s the apocalypse dude. The fact Joel survived as long as he did is a miracle
that really deap
I think she is 20 when Tommy goes to the farm, and I actually believe that she is still in contact with Dina an JJ becuse of the bracelet. But yes, if there is a part 3 all I want is a happy ending for Ellie, I really fell in love with her character and they just keep making her miserable
Same! It just breaks my heart and that’s why I don’t want to play the last of us II
It breaks my heart how ellie and joel weren’t on good terms before he died
but they were. we see that the night before his death, she says she’d like to forgive him. then when patrolling with dina the next day, before joel died, dina asked what ellie was doing that night. ellie said she and joel would watch a movie about some kid ninja, the fourth movie in the series. then explained the movie franchise all to dina. they weren’t like they used to be, no.. but they were coming together. they had plans. ellie was finally ready to forgive joel. and that was taken from her.
they where thats why ellie feel so much guilt
But they were. That's why Ellie's so mad about it, she got to make a choice but it was taken from her, she didn't get to live through it. That's worse than if she never got to make the choice.
Ashley Johnson brought so much to the role of Ellie. Her Mocap sessions are a joy to watch.
Alright who’s cutting the onions

“There was a sequel...wasn’t as good”
She lost everyone. The bitter sweetness is that she didnt lose her humanity at the end. Still one of the most tragic characters to grace our lives.
A cruel game but full of love.
A sad story but full of joy.
A story of a revenge that turns out to be full of forgiveness and redemption.
Truly is!
I completely forgot Ellie had such a fear of ending up alone and now the ending has twice the punch- that realization hurted. Beautifully edited~
Thank you so much ☺️
Yes, yes it does.
Ellie, the girl that was once the light of The Last of Us, not just because of her immunity, but her personality, then became the darkest corner of the game.
Yea..it was really odd to see our girl in that light
Ellie is a girl who grew up in the apocolypse. She never knew a normal life style like our own. Survival was always on her mind. She was dragged through hell for sure, but if anyone can crawl out of that pit it's her.
I think Ellie really lost herself whenever she had to kill daniel
@@BlackWolf-kr7wo So true!
I would argue Ellie is still the light because she's willing to let it go whereas Abby already lost her humanity to begin with.
"what are you doing kiddo" that should've been said in the game itself in that moment
What a piece of art this game is. The kind and multitudes of emotions this franchise produces in me is unmatched.
I feel the same way, I hope for a third instalment sooner rather than later 😅
I just finished the game like 20 mins ago and for some reason this hits rlly hard when u finish the game

@@cmft6sic644 I'm sad cause now Ellie is alone
Ugh... I.. I just... She didn't deserve this end... After all she has suffered... I know it's only a character that isn't real but I care about her. This isn't fair..
She completely deserved this ending but that's the denial factor that makes it so tragic. She did evil things but we didn't see them as that bad because of our perspective but when we play as abby we then understand why she isn't the good guy. She even had a chance of a better life with Dina and decided to throw it all away because, even knowing that abby spared her and dina's lives, she had to get revenge for joel. When she doesn't kill abby in the end it shows that she has moved past her vengeance and recognised that she is the bad guy but it was too late. She deserved what happened to her, it's all about perspective.
@Harry Paul Yeah but the whole point is that she is breaking the revenge. Plus Ellie lost everything but that doesn't make it all pointless because from what she lost she gained he humanity and her ability to move on from Joel's death. She was able to see and understand Abby's reasoning behind killing Joel and finally after all the wrong she'd done, stop. The story wasn't about revenge or violence being bad. It was about perspective and forgiveness and most of all in the words of Neil Druckmann "Love"
The ending makes sense cause she turned her back on her family to get revenge
@Harry Paul I can't be bothered to explain the plot to you cause your too fix minded. watch this czcams.com/video/Jiq0nR8ndD0/video.html.
and ping me rather than just saying my name next time cause i don't get the notification otherwise
500 kills?! Well that depends on the way you play. I didn‘t kill anybody (at least humans and especially dogs) in the game if it wasn’t absolutely necessary to progress. It made the game tougher, but also made the characters feel more rational and realistic. So „my“ Ellie only killed to protect herself and focused her revenge on Abby‘s group of friends. That also made her decisions and actions in the cutscenes much more consistent and therefore much more believable.
I never understand how people can play a game this way, letting their characters do things that make no sense character wise. Why would your Ellie be a freaking female Rambo?! That doesn’t make sense at all.
Many years ago I showed Uncharted 1 to a class mate and he would enjoy cutscenes that are brimming with mystery, tension and adventure... just to jump around like a drug addicted monkey once the gameplay resumed? Why tf would someone sane do that? Make your character behave rationally by playing rationally! Have more fun that way!
It‘s actually pretty simple.
“Beyond faith in pain
I want faith from pain
I want faith through pain”

This edit shows the true complexity of tlou with the flash backs all the perfect scenes the music the coloring the everything! This edit is beyond words and embodies the tragic beauty of the last of us. This is genuinely a masterpiece as is the incredible game

"I was supposed to die in that hospital! My life would've fucking mattered! But you took that from me!"
"If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment, I'd do it all over again."
-Ellie and Joel
(The Last of Us Part II)
Joel would've done it all over, the *exact* same way. He lost Sarah and couldn't lose Ellie too. Ellie couldn't understand that until the end. Until she saw Lev and Abby in the exact same position.
Abby was willing to do anything to save Lev, same as Joel was willing to do anything to save Ellie.
And that's when Ellie finally understood Joel's choice to save her over the human race.
I respect this comment
Btw Ellie isn't immune she's infected with a fungus killing version of the virus just watch the video that the game theorist made. It's also means Joel made the right choice
Btw ellie would do the same thing if she had the chance too.
Nope Joel did a fucked up thing in the hospital and Ellie looked past it. She didn't forgive it
Literally quotes it in the game
CheddarYT words can’t speak how wrong u r
In the end, nobody was a hero, nobody was a villain. The plot is just brilliant. It's just like it would happen in real life!
The worst thing is in TLOU part 2 Ellie end up alone
the saddest thing for me was that they left her alone at the end, she went through SO much.. the absolute worst and they let her live her greatest fear at the end? i was so mad. but thinking back now i really do thing she got her closure and is living with dina in jackson. i know dina was waiting for her, she loves her so much and knows how much that mattered to her. otherwise it wouldnt make any sense. i jusr hope they give us at least a dlc cause i really need to actually see ellie getting her happy ending and a family :(
Theoretically, she already has. Apparently, the Ellie we see at the end of the game returning to the house, doesn't have her weapons, and is wearing Dina's luck bracelet. Signifying that she just took the trip to visit that home, those things and to put Joel's memory to rest.
@@itube316 really?
@@zoomrrmcgee Yeah, or at least that's the theory based on what we see in the final moments.
Also, there's the companion theory that Abby and Lev are safe and made it to the Firefly's on Catalina island based on the menu screen after beating the game. 😊
@Jp Pope but then Joel would have died for nothing
Good news! They’re working on game 3

Joel death is the worst death but the time he spent with Ellie filled the hole in my heart. I was dissapointed at first that Joel died but at least he can meet Sarah again.

@@dummheitswarnung5246 Shut up. You are breaking our dreams.
@@dummheitswarnung5246 bruh Joel IS God...
I'm Atheist, but isn't a MAJOR part of Christianity about acceptance and forgiveness? Joel says himself in flashbacks if you pay enough attention that he regrets almost everything he has done. Almost. He has said himself if he was given a second chance in the hospital, he'd do it all over again.
wow im crying my eyes out now
I finished the game one month after release, and I felt pain inside after ending, and right now I wanna come back to this story. God damn cause of this video I have a goosebumps
That's great to hear!
It's really hard to say what this game felt like for me. Every minute I spent being Ellie or Abby made me feel like I was constantly getting punched in the stomach. The game story looks ordinary, banal, but it is narrated in a way I have never experienced in a videogame. Everything is perfect, the dialogues, the landscapes, the facial expressions. Thank you Naughty Dog for this masterpiece
You know, the last scene in The Last of Us Part II really kills me when Ellie says to Abby: “Go... just take him”. Made me think Ellie was talking about Joel 😔 the more I think about it, the more it kills me.
She realized that Abby loved Lev as much as Joel loved her (and after realizing this, she finally forgave Joel)?? I haven't played this game, but I've seen videos and read the plot. I watched the ending scenes (last 1 hour of the game), and cried my eyes out.
Ella I've read this argument many times from different people. The problem is that the Lev Abby thing isn't so obvious from Ellie's perspective. Ellie doesn't know what Lev meant to Abby, the arc or this particular part wasn't solid nor explained..Abby and Lev looked like regular survivalists like many others, they don't have the Joel Ellie relationship at all. I was defending the story for weeks, I even started a long argument with my brother defending the ending, but the more I look into it, it doesn't make any sense. The only explanation is that Ellie thinks joel is worthless and doesn't deserve a revenge !!
@@Apocalypse87 I'm not trying to start a fight, but I think it's good that we bring our opinions to the table.
Here's mine: Ellie loved Joel. She doesn't think he is worthless. Joel is dead, and killing Abby won't bring him back. Joel killed Abby's father, so Abby killed him. Joel was like a dad to Ellie, so ofc she wanted to kill Abby. When she was drowning her, she saw flashback of Joel looking at her. I think he would've wanted her to move on and be happy, and not get into the cycle of revenge, because he loved her like a daughter (and she knew it).
Ellie had lost Joel forever, she was heartbroken and wanted revenge, but in the drowning/flashback scene you can see that she kind of gave up. She realized the fact that he won't come back, and she has to move on.
Trust me, I would've wanted the satisfaction of Ellie killing Abby. I would've loved to see Joel stay alive. The ending was disappointing and I'm still sad about it. Life isn't fair and it sucks. But we need to imagine how Ellie felt. She went through stages of grief after Joel's death. She was angry and wanted to kill Abby. On the beach she accepted the fact that he was gone. And then she tries to move on.
@Harry Paul Yeah it's a shame. The way it ended was wrong, but I was just trying to find "reasons".
I enjoyed the story and loved Ellie and Joel together. Getting to know these characters was something special, and when they killed Joel, I was heartbroken. Honestly, I don't remember the last time I cried that much :DD It sounds very stupid, but I have to move on. I hope that Joel is in heaven with Sarah, and Ellie found peace + reunited with Dina and her son. I'm not an "OG fan", I only found out about this whole game series 2 months ago. Watched 3 hours of the first game, then lost my patience and just read the plot for parts 1 and 2. Watched Joel's death, and the last hour of the game + bits here and there. So even though I was emotionally invested in the story, I didn't play the game in 2013, and wait 7 years for a sequel that I had high hopes for. I never actually played the games. The ending devastated me, and I can only imagine what it was like for the hardcore fans.
@@j0rdgubb Don't listen to this guy. There is A LOT of positivity coming out involving this game with great "literary" analyses(very close to literary analyses I have to do at uni) that discard a lot of the arguments that state that this game is badly written. The people who dislike something are always very loud about it, but in all actuality this game is selling extreeeemely well and everyone I know liked it. The game tanked at the first day of its release (people couldn't possibly have finished it by then) and the hate train had already departed because of the leaks. Facts are that it is completely changing, most gamer reviews and videos that are coming out are actually quite positive, which makes me happy since I almost started to feel bad for liking this game, even though I was pretty sure that I know the difference between good and bad writing. Sure it isn't a perfect game but it is pretty damn good and I felt like the ending was beautiful and extremely risky at the same time. i didn't want Abby to die at all and the shot of Ellie sitting in the fog and water alone was just magnificent, at the same time I felt empty because I had come all this way "for nothing" (which ofcourse isn't true cf. Ellie's character development, which is what the game is actually about). I loved it and completely understand the people that didn't like it, BUT it is not bad or dumb writing. It is because Ellie sees the flashback of Joel from the night that she decided to start trying to forgive him that she started trying to forgive and understand Abby as well. Anyways glad you liked it :p
Joel He just wanted to be a good father to her... Maybe he didn't deserve to be treated like that... He did that only because he loved him by depriving humanity of a cure but even he would have preferred to live without clickers... He only did it because he loved her
I struggled for a long time with survivin'. And you- No matter what, you keep finding something to fight for. Now, I know that's not what you want to hear right now, but it's...
It’s so sadd. But I understand Ellie, is like “Don't know what you got till it's gone”
@Luxmore i mean the people he tortured were people that tried to kill him and people mostly standing in his way he couldn't have survived if he was sparing everybody.
@Luxmore true that
@Luxmore i mean look at bill he did terrible shit too, maybe other survivors also did other bad things to survive
I hardly ever cry, but this had tears flowing in my face.
Beautiful.
You love to see it! Thank you so much that means a lot!
My heart hurts.... I don't know how I'm going to be able to rewatch this unfold in the HBO series.
I'm pissed off they killed Jessie. We barely learned anything about him.
Sarah - meaningful death in prologue. Tess - meaningful death of the infection. Henry and Sam - meaningful death about loss. TLOU ll, Danny - Who?? Manny - Gets shot out of nowhere and never mentioned again. Mel & Owen - Unlikeable characters killed by Ellie to make you dislike her character more by showing that you killed someone pregnant (okay?) Jessie - Supposedly a major character just dies out of nowhere and never mentioned again. No one can entice me to like to sequel, it was so horribly paced and written
We don’t talk about Joels death, it was beyond ridiculous
@@paolocollivignarelli It's not that Joel did not get a honourable death. It was how his death didn't make sense to his personality.
Sure he live in Jackson but that doesn't mean he will forget the lessons he was forced to learn to survive. Seeing how dangerous people can be you would thought that Joel will be more smarter and careful than Tommy when they met Abby's group
But nope Joel have his guard down and act like they are friends
Even if the deaths are meaningless, it’s because it’s a story. We love exaggerated stories and watching something super realistic would be somewhat boring so I don’t agree with the deaths of Tlou2.
Adam Nelson nobody cares. Stfu.

I want a 3rd game just to see her fixing up and be happy with her wife and kid!
@Minstrel🎼 hmm not so sure about that, Niel Druckman was vague and subtle about having a 3rd game, it's still up in the air yes, but he did mention that as soon as the game finished they started brainstorming ideas of a 3rd part, it's ND's biggest seller and the game is very popular i don't see why they're not gonna make a sequel. Plus i don't think they would reveal having a 3rd game so early on after part 2, not to mention working on the show itself would take a chunk of Niel's time.
I'm interested to see more of Ellie's journey, her story is far from completed and i believe she would somehow find the fireflies again with her family and Tommy also in mind and how their dynamic unravels. Abby is not someone i'm keen on seeing again because i believe we had a closure in her final battle with Ellie. A prequel would work for me if it was a DLC, or maybe more of Ellie and Joel's lives back in Jackson just to give depth to their time there and help us connect with the characters we saw in Jackson.
This is honestly one of the best edits I've ever seen, don't know how many times I've watched it now. Good job.

@@crashngame514 not best game ever but one of the best for sure
This is just perfect. I apologise in advance for writing an entire book here. A lot of people don't seem to understand what the game is about and think that everything Ellie does is ok but hate Abby with all their strength, they're missing the point. On Abby's point of view Joel is the bad guy who took her dad away, you can't simply hate on her for doing what she did to him and think it's ok for Ellie to do the same to Nora, for example or kill a pregnant woman even if it was by accident (and kill Alice which was unacceptable, that part I can not forgive lol). They're both so hurt that they're blinded by anger and they both got consumed by it by getting their revenge, and the cost of that was losing the rest of the people they loved. And be said that if Ellie had drowned Abby she would've taken her away from Lev, the same way Abby took Joel from her. Beautiful game, beautiful editing, just perfect
Aw, thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate your comment it means a lot! ♥️
Tbh I do understand the game and Abby perspective but it's really hard to me to care about her since they showed me her too late and I still feel like Abby didn't understood why revange is bad. I know they try to show that she understands but it doesn't feel like it does. It's really hard for Ellie to kill all those people and I think we all can see that, Ellie is not meant to kill like that just for revange that really fuck her up. But with Abby she doesn't even feel bad for killing she did enjoyed killing someone in front of someone. The only time I saw her caring about something it was with the siblings. But idk maybe it's just me
@@mimibunbun3778 sorry in advance again for writing another book here lol.
I agree and I think that's when she started to be less selfish yk? When Mel tells her she's a selfish asshole she even cries cause she knows it's true, and I think the siblings were slowly changing that throughout the game. When she's about to kill Dina for example, Lev says her name in a "don't do this" way and she just let them leave. And at the end of the game when they're at the boats she didn't even care to fight Ellie, she actually says that she's not gonna fight her, and it's not because she's weak or anything even because they ended up having a badass fight, but she just doesn't care about any of it anymore, the only thing she cares now is Lev, she lost everyone else and didn't wanna lose him to. She used to be an asshole, but I think at the end of the game she realizes everyone died because of what she did and she didn't want that to happen to Lev too, and same for Ellie, at the last second she sees Joel sitting on the porch peacefully playing his guitar and realizes that killing Abby wasn't worth it, she would kill her and then what? Lev would've been alone and it wouldn't change anything. So yeah, I agree Abby wasn't the best, but I think throughout the game she understands that about her self and didn't want Lev to pay the price for it, like the others did. And by the way, to be honest if someone had killed my dad like that I would have enjoyed killing them too. I'm not saying Joel is wrong, he did what he did to save Ellie, that's ok, but on Abby's point of view he's the bastard who murdered her dad in cold blood, so I kinda get it why she felt relieved when she killed Joel, not saying she's right on doing that, I actually hated her for it, but I understand why she felt good about it. But yeah, every action has consequences...
the game did that on purpose to ellie to try making you care about abby none of the people ellie killed did she do it for revenge, she killed them in self defense after they each tried to kill her but it still hurt her to actually kill them & nora's never shown to have been killed just shown ellie hit her but told ellie after that were to find abby so cant say she was killed, even the dog gave her no choice but to kill it , they purposely hit the pregnant womans belly during ellie's campaign only showing it at the base playing as abby so it would paint ellie as the bad one between them like they already tried to justify her reason for killing joel by having that random scene with her dad saving the zebra then all of a sudden making look like that cure was 100% guaranteed to work, she shouldve killed abby tho, she's a worse person then any of them she got pleasure out of killing people showing no emotion over it just like a psychopath like it destroyed ellie to kill those people, she shouldve been taking lev with her if she wasnt gonna kill abby after all of that so some kind of karma would hit abby & he would grow up being raised by a better person, like why was ellie punished for what she did lost everything she cared about but abby loses nothing important to her in the end for what she did, ellie is a good person that they destroyed in this game to get people to care anything for abby, they couldnt even give her a good ending for rescuing abby & lev cause abby has no survival skills on her own & got them nearly killed
@@mikemc6911 dude Abby did show emotion when killing Joel, anger a lot of anger, which is completely understandable when you see what happened to her dad. And like I said yes, afterwards she didn't seem to care about it, because she is a piece of shit at that part, that's even said at the game by Mel and Abby cries, she knows Mel is right and when Yara tells her she is a good person her reply was "you don't know me", but that changes at the end after everyone she cared about died because of what she did and she's scared of loosing Lev too, he's all she cares about now. I know it seems terrible to kill a 14 year old, bout after 20 years of that living hell I think people would do whatever it takes to find a cure, unless is someone close to you like Ellie was to Joel and when Marlene asks Abby's father "would you do it if it was your daughter?" He didn't answer, cause he knows the answer would be "no" and he probably would have done everything to save her, just like Joel. So I don't think that someone is right or wrong, they're just fighting for different things. Everything in this game depends on what point of view you're looking from, to Joel Abby's father was trying to kill Ellie, to the fireflies he was the savior of the world (literally) to the siblings Abby was the only one that helped them even tho they were seraphites, to Ellie she's a monster, to Ellie Joel was a father, someone who would protect and love her no matter what, to Abby he was a bastard who took her dad away, and the whole game is about that, there is no good guy or bad guy, just people with different points of view. And the idea of Lev staying with Ellie is nonsense; imagine you are Lev, your whole community that you grew up in is trying to kill you cause you're trans, you have to kill your own mother, otherwise she will kill you, your sister is shot to death in front of you and the only person who cares for you and protected you (Abby) is killed by someone (Ellie) and you go with them and accept to be raised by them and you two live happily ever after, c'mon... It's like someone had killed Joel at the first game and Ellie went along with it and accepted to grow up with them, doesn't make any sense
Shit, this video hits so hard after finishing The Last of Us II. He was so afraid to lose her, she was afraid to end up alone. In 2 it becomes clear how much they actually needed eachother.
This game is a masterpiece, but so is this editing. Brilliant work, keep it up!
Aw, thank you so much! So glad to hear you think so! ❤️
Honestly I’d been avoiding all TLOU2 content since I finished the game because it was too much but I decided to watch this video because I always love your videos and I wasn’t wrong. This video was amazing, Ellie is one of my favorite characters like ever so this was really cool to see. (It may or may not have made me cry) I’m excited for the next one. And I’m going to shut up now since I’ve written a bible. :)
Aw thank you so much I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! ♥️ Happy to hear you enjoy our content! ☺️
@Eduardo Garcia is exactly how i feel when i wanna replay the game
This is the first time in my life after Game of Thrones, where I felt this connected to characters and a story, and coming from a videogame man.... This tragedy is a masterpiece and the beauty of it is from beyond this earth....
genuinely crying, ive never loved a story as much as i do the tlou franchise and seeing ellies journey in such a poetic way and how her fear was realised is heartbreaking all over again
The editing was impeccable. I really felt all the emotions, the hate, the sadness, the sacredness that i felt when I played the second game all over again. Amazing job.
Despite the frustrating story telling and the way it ended, sometimes I see it as a realistic ending. Life is about how you handle losses. It’s truly sad to see her alone in the end because that was her fear in the first game when she spoke about it to Sam. I wish it ended differently but her actions and her will to get revenge is what ultimately formed her ending alone in the last of us 2
I struggled for a long time with survivin'. And you- No matter what, you keep finding something to fight for. Now, I know that's not what you want to hear right now, but it's...

How the hell, have you captured the essences of both games and shows the plot strong narrative to boot. When so many others, failed and cotinue to fail to understand the game
Aww thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it. I would say that I just edited what I felt right. I understood the second game the first time I played it. I talked about it at length with friends and family. I’m very used to doing character studies for edits and it does kind of mean that I have to be empathetic and compassionate in understanding a characters motivations and reasoning. I’ve always recognised Ellie having a kind of survivors guilt. Which is kind of what I built the edit around. The theme is there throughout both games. Even if the guilt is somewhat secondary in the second game. But yeah I love both games and I like to think that my interpretation of the character and the game is hopefully correct! 😅
I miss Joel.
Joel wasn’t a good man but who is in this game honestly he was just trying to protect The One he loved his daughter
yeah but he's still a terrible person
He was a good man though, he just had to do some terrible things to survive in a terrible world.
@@philiom7724 remind me of anything good he did. Just because you played as him doesn't forgive what he did and what he did in his past as well. I'm tired of people seeing him as a hero he literally doomed humanity. His intentions weren't even good. He didn't stop Ellie from being a cure because she was in danger and he saved her from the big bad scientists. He killed hundreds of people because he couldn't lose his daughter again. He was a HORRIBLE man. and this paragraph was the biggest waste of my time.
@@cheddaryt7502 Wow. You sound like a real prick. I don't even feel like explaining to you why you're simplistic analysis of Joel's character is moronic.

This is FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!! Beautifully edited, and great musical selection/arrangement. You had me in tears, both times I watched it.
Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! ☺️
In the end she let her main enemy go knowing that the cycle of vengeance would never be stopped even after her death .. sometimes let something go might bring peace ☮️
Beautiful work. One of the best characters in videogame history. And I love her story in Part 2 as much as I love Abby's story. Our actions have consequences!
Aw thank you so much. Definitely I really enjoyed her story.
I'm going to get Ellie's tattoo in 2 weeks and thx for this video
That sounds awesome, the tattoo on her arm or something different?
@@ItsATwinThingYT yea the tattoo on her arm
Omg I want her tattoo after watching this game as well

Did you get it?
i have 3 more years until i can get a tattoo but as soon as i am i know what im getting. ellie has played such a big role in my life in so many ways. i can relate to so much of her life and she taught me so much.

This game is by far one of the greatest emotional rides of gameplay I have ever played.
I keep rewatching it. I just tear up so bad. Tommy, Joel and Ellie. Best video game family.
R.i.p joel damn you'll be missed
Now she's all alone and the one thing Joel left for her was the guitar that she can no longer play anymore.
This game is so emotionally driven that it can be interpreted in many different ways, which is partly the reason why its received so differently by people.
That's true, I think it's something you have to be open-minded and open-hearted about to truly appreciate. It's understandably hard for some people. The more I play and edit it, the more my love and appreciation grows for it!
The way she complains about dying in the hospital and her life meaning something reminds me of lieutenant Dan from Forest Gump. The guy wanted to die a glorious death only to appreciate what Forest did for him later.
Shit, that was intense
In Tears. I have never connected to a story like this one before. An absolute Masterpiece.
Wow 3 years later and this video is still a Materspeac !!!
See i told you tlou2 is a masterpiece
😭😭😍 I stg this was like watching a whole movie, and it's only 7 minutes!!
Edit: I'm glad you understand this game, otherwise I'd never see this edit. Thanks Naughtydog
Aw, thank you so much! ☺️
This made me cry. AMAZING edit!! ❤❤
Aw, really? Thank you so much I'm glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Why do i kept shedding tears no matter how many times i watched it
This is what the designers of this game wanted us to feel. You accomplished in 7 minutes what it took them 7 years to attempt to accomplish and they failed. Well done.
They didn’t fail. I can very confidently tell you they did not fail in the slightest. I’m not gonna start a whole internet argument witn you about this, once you become more open minded, which I’m sure you will as you’re smart enough to do so, you will understand what I mean
@@cheekyweebugger3621 That's unfortunate. I tried to pay a compliment and instead you made it into squabbling drama. Look, I'm going to give you a pass, and please, just hear me out. I know there are a large majority of people who are down on this game because of their individual ideologies. To that I say, live and let live. They seem to be of the impression that the designers somehow failed them because they were upset with the direction the narrative took. To that I say, design your own game than. And then there are a minority of people that are offended by the sexual orientation of certain characters. Upset because women seem to dominate the power roles of the game. Upset because there's a transgendered character. To that I say, grow up. The world is changing. Change with it or be left behind. But! You've no right to tell me how I feel about the game. Contrary to what you may believe no greater enlightenment can be gleaned by forcing your subjective opinion about the game onto others.
I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, especially Abbie as I am also an avid weight trainer. I couldn't care less who's gay, straight or otherwise. If it's part of the story, then it's part of the story; however, the original game/story was far more emotionally driven in my opinion. I transitioned through a myriad of emotions; happiness, sadness, anger, rage and more. The story was also very cohesive and linear. Part 2 was all over the palce. It was muddied and unsettled; chaotic. Like there were too many ideas amalgamated but none made up of composite parts. I felt practically nothing. That was a failure. I'm sorry you take exception to my analysis of the game, but again, I'm entitled to my opinion as you are yours. I still hold firm to the fact that the short video was amazing and ignited visceral emotion in me.
Patrick Bateman I cbb to read all that but for the first part
: “I tried paying a compliment but you made it into squabbling drama”. No. You did not. You payed an insult to naughty dog, you were asking for squabbling drama. Now you get squabbling drama and you’re upset? Hmm 🤔
@@cheekyweebugger3621 If you didn't have the attention span of a knat, maybe you could of learned something. Oh, and one does not "pay" an insult, dummy.
Patrick Bateman you’re reply is quite funny tbh. You know you’ve already lost your stubborn internet argument because of that reply, right?
This entire thing gave me chills, but I think the beginning is what hit me hardest. The mix of Ellie and Riley's dialog really just.. hurt. I don't know why but it did. I think it's the fact they had somewhat of a closer bond than Ellie and Dina did, or at least in my opinion. How both of them thought they *would* lose their minds together, and how it would make sense in canon for Ellie to be the one who killed Riley.
This entire thing is amazing though, I loved every second of it and I think it really showed Ellie's change through the games.Incredible work dude!
Aw, thank you so much I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the video. ☺️
@Harry Paul Dude, whether you enjoy something is a subjective opinion. You didn't so why are you here? To shit on people who enjoyed something you hated?
@Harry Paul Yeah, because suddenly everyone is just an expert in good and bad writing now apparently.
There are pros and cons to the game sure and there are certain aspects on the story that don't always work it's like that for most games because of the medium it's in.
You call Joel's death 'lazy' and badly written. Why? Because you think he deserved a more heroic death like sacrificing himself to save Ellie or something? The death works in the context of the world they're in, not bad writing it's actually accurate to the context of the world.
Joel never once tells Abby or the group his name, Tommy did. You argue why would they go back to a place to a group of people they didn't know? Because there was a snow storm outside and they would have frozen and died out there without shelter, they were also being swarmed and pursued by infected. Makes logical sense to follow Abby who they put their trust in, in a dire situation. They took the chance trusting her rather than risking it fighting the infected.
The pacing for Ellie's section is hard going when she's alone because they're pretty long with not much happening especially if you're stealthing the section.
There's probably other stuff but to be honest it's all subjective anyway so what's even the point. You'll never change your mind just like I won't. Deem it bad writing if you want. 🤷
@Harry Paul They also mention people travelling through and giving them supplies.
@Harry Paul The whole point of the story is to show you nobody is right in the situation.
Abby was brutal and a shitty person until she found a connection back to her humanity through Lev. Joel was a shitty person before Ellie as said by Tess in the first game they're all survivors of the world they're in, they have to be.
Ellie did awful things, Joel and Tommy did awful things and so did Abby and everyone. No one is innocent, every life they take is someone's father, daughter, son or mother etc. We got to know Joel and Ellie over the first game so there's going to be bias towards them.
I hated Abby intially I still would if it wasn't for her relationship with Lev.
Where are you getting Fireflies are angels assumption? I don't believe they are and it was never painted as such. In Ellie's eyes it was hope that her immunity would help save the world and the Fireflies would be able to do that. Whether that was a possibility we'll never know because that's not the story they're telling.
It's a fictional world so using 'They wouldn't have been able to find a cure' a criticism is a pretty poor argument as humans can't get cordyceps either in our reality.
"What are you doing, kiddo?"
Gives me chills 🥺
This game really hits that emotional breaking point, making u feel their wholesome relationship, then break that completely by either death or a fight ,really puts u through it .
