I made fluffy bread with cheeseburger.
It's often a burden to eat a big hamburger.
It's small, so it's easy to eat, and it's really delicious.
*** Weighing is scale (g), rice spoon (tbsp), teaspoon (tsp) weighing.
[6 8~9cm]
✤ Bread dough
-180g Bread flour
-3g (1tsp) Salt
-25 g (2.5tbsp) Sugar
-4g (2tsp) Instant dry yeast
-35g Room temperature butter
-120ml Warm milk
✤ Ingredients in bread
-Roasted beef (see below)
-Hamburger sauce (see below)
-Chopped tomatoes
- Pickle
-Cheddar cheese
✤ Ingredients applied on bread
-1 Egg yolk (can be omitted)
-3tbsp Milk
✤ Topping on bread
- Sesame seeds
✤ Roasted beef
-100g Ground beef
-90g Chopped onion
-3pinches Salt
-0.5tbsp Soy sauce
-0.5tsp Black pepper
-1tbsp Cooking wine
-1tbsp Minced garlic
-3 tbsp Cooking oil
✤ Hamburger sauce
-1.5tbsp Mayonnaise
-0.7tbsp Mustard
-0.7tbsp Ketchup
✤ TIP
-Plain flour is less fluffy. Use bread flour.
-Cooking wine can be omitted.
-The egg yolk gives the bread a shine, and if you just apply milk, the color will come out even if there is no shine.
-Bread can be stored in the freezer and heated in the microwave, or
You can bake it again in the oven at 170℃ for 5 minutes. (170℃/365℉ preheat)

My younger sibling was obsessed with this concept and wanted to make them for MONTHS but was afraid my family wouldn't like them. They ended up being a huge hit and they get requested pretty often! The sauce itself gets made whenever we make fries, it's REALLY good.

For everyone wondering how it is with all purpose flour:
when I made it with All purpose flour, for me the dough was a little bit sticker but I think it might be because I use almond milk and not regular milk or it might be the brand of flour I use. But other than that everything else was pretty much the same.
How long does it take you to make it? and is it worth the whole progress?
@@doccrex it’s worth the process and for me it takes maybe and hour and 45 mins( pretty much the same time as the video, sometimes I let the dough rise a little longer though), but you should definitely try it.

I've made these quite a few times by now and they are a big hit with my partner. The buns are surprisingly easy to fold IF your dough is sticky enough. The first time I made them, i thought to myself 'is this really right? Did I mess up the measurements? Why is my dough 50% butter?' but nope! The dough is very sticky and a greasy as seen in this video. this is a HUGE help when assembling everything. Cheese should be added last (as shown), as it gives you something not moist to fold the dough around. If you, like I have also done, add the sauce last then you'll end with a huge mess and the dough wont stick to itself.
I tried stuffing them with jam. Didnt work, only if you fold them like a bao/nikuman. You can throw some nutella or chocolate in there though.
They are a bit tricky to assemble the first few times, but once you get a hang of it, they are actually quite fast and easy to do. Thank you for the recipe!

Made this tonight and my husband loved it! It was really hard making the dough and then stacking the ingredients together. Don’t recommend putting sauce last, it’s too mushy and messy so I stacked with the meat, sauce, cheese, tomatoes, then pickles. Wrap that baby up real good and started baking. I had to bake at 355 degrees Fahrenheit for 22-25mins for the dough to be completely baked. Long process but all worth it in the end! Thank you for the recipe! Will make this again!
I did this recipe and while it was labor-intensive as someone who doesn't really cook, it was really easy to do! The burgers turned out great, my mom loved it ♥️ cant wait to try it out again!
To anyone who wants to try, the cheese on top holds the dough in place like a tape; I made the mistake of overfiilling and causing the insides to mix when wrapping :( I couldn't pinch it close and it looked like an alien bursting out of the bun but on the bright side? It tastes great!

@@starsintrash9218 The most common cause is the yeast not activating. The liquid used water or milk should be warm but not hot.
@@starsintrash9218 It did rise well, actually more than needed. Mine turned a bit heavy (one was enough to get you full) that I must remember next time and make them smaller and thinner. I followed the instructions and measurements as in the video, so you might consider the yeast used then!
@@KurosawaIsamu I agree! If the yeast is a bit old or if you add cold milk to it, it will not rise well. Also, living in cold places can cause that too, make sure to put the mixture in a bit warm place. Good luck ^^
did you use 4 gms of yeast or 2 tsp? as both are diffent

@@TheZigzagman it's a joke around here, bc here in brazil we do put a lot of things on hamburgers, hot dogs etc, so we call it ''podrão'' bc there's so much things that maybe it turns out unrecognzible, like a rotten thing, but it's a regional thing, in my city for example we call it ''hamburgão'' and it means big hamburger
I substitute the inside for a chicken recipe. I had shredded rotisserie chicken + cream cheese + shredded cheese + dice tomatos & cooked onions + basil + nacho sauce substituted as the burger sauce. Or sometimes I just use the sauce as dip and not inside. End result was great!

This is an old "fast food", finded in colleges and schools. In brazil we call this "Hamburgão", (means literally Big burger)

The best part is you can put literally ANYTHING into that buns, sweet filler with chocolate , hot chilli maybe, spaghetti and meatballs, and will be delicious every time.

Are you going to be able to freeze them and heat them up a few days or weeks later and expect them to taste even half as good? Burgers are good for about 30 minutes after being cooked.
I made these and they taste great. The biggest difficulty was wrapping them well and making sure they didn’t leak (which I failed 🥲) but other than them looking ugly, they tasted good. The dough was just really hard to work with cause of the stickiness. Also, I used a Philly steak instead of ground beef. You can really put whatever you want in these.
I will make this and make it for the family, I'm sorry but this looks extremely yummy.
Edit: so I made them last night since I had time and my family loved it, they even groaned when they were eating it. These are so good glad I found this recipe. I will for sure include these on my lunch or dinner items!

My wife often makes char siu bao 叉燒包 and sometimes she makes a different filling with cooked ground beef, onion and a little curry powder. Steamed or baked in the oven are both fillings and cooking methods are yummy. She usually makes 50 to 70 at a time and freezes them after they have been cooked. Just had 2 for lunch that she made 2 months ago. Heat them from frozen in the microwave oven.
She should sell them.

@@bockbuster60 lol...thats just a lame excuse to not doing it. Every recipe have all the ingredients in it, you know if something is healthy or not. I've been cooking for 27 years and I dont need medical attention. Also if you eat the right ammount of food that your body needs you dont need the gym. Maybe walking some times a week for a better quality of life, but its not mandatory. There are a lot of people that cook with artificial ingredients to make things look better, but you can tell.

Fantastic recipe. I will definitely give this a try. Reminds me of something similar we had here in the U. K. in the mid nineties, filled with cheese and tomato, called Pizza - Rollas. They were frozen and microwaveable. After heating you would take one bite and the molten lava - like filling instantly burnt the roof of your mouth right off. Once you got past that they were the ultimate hangover cure. Great times.

Thats just like a very popular snack here in Brazil we call it (Pão de Hamburguer) “Hamburguer Bread” it costs around a Dollar and its sold in every small bodega and bakery place in almost all cities from São Paulo State.. not sure about other states but ive grow my whole life eating those
