@dean-543 thanks I really would like to see him try. If he could get it to work off the back he could just turn around go grab a tool. He could do jobs in the rain as well.

I remember changing the water pump in my 77 monte carlo back in the 90s. Once the fan & shroud were pulled, I had enough room to stand in between the engine and radiator to work. I miss big, simple cars.
Helped the old man pull the leaking radiator on his 1959 Chevy Biscayne work car with the straight 6. You could see plenty of the driveway on both sides of the engine. No a/c, no power steering and 3 on the tree. Took us 10 minutes to pull it and him being a sheet metal mechanic he repaired the leak himself. 30 minutes later it was all put back together.
This has become my fav channel in a very short time. Keep it up👍👍 hope nothing but the best for you man. P.s. come to FL I need some help on my corolla😂😂

Great work Matthew! In the old days ,there were shops that fixed radiators. Now a days ,like pay phones are no longer around! I figure the modern radiators are not repairable.
I found that if you look at the new part first and become familar with it, you can see fixing points, ports, connectors etc, this helps when removing the old part blind or in a difficult position and I've been hitting things with hammers for forty five years.
Using that fan to keep you cool is smart. I do the same thing when I go visit my parents in Oklahoma they always have something that needs to be fixed when I go out there My dad was telling me starting to get hot and humid.
If you can afford it it's good idea to do a full coolant system maintenance all hoses (upper/lower radiator hose/ heater core hoses, radiator, water pump, thermostat with a coolant flush. Especially If you live in a hot summer state.
Top Tip of the day, when you are buying a part for your car at the auto shop take the old part with you to check it is the same, the number of times I've got home and discovered the part doesn't fit, they change spec on cars 2-3 times a year so rads, starters, alternators etc sometimes have slightly different fittings, bolt holes and lugs slightly different etc, save a lot of hassle, sometimes they even have the same part number but are not exactly the same,
Here in my city there are mobile mechanics…. They charge $50.00 just to come out and do a diagnostics. Then if you want a radiator changed out it’s $150.00 plus tax. If you ask them to order expect to be uncharged! An estimate for similar work done here could go easily for about $400.00 dollars

Much cheaper than getting a head replacement for no reason, she's lucky she found you. I like your style, keep up the good work mate.
You could put a retractable awning on your truck and use that instead of canopy. Would'nt have to go far for tools either. Might work good.

A CSF radiator. Was that an upgraded unit, or a replacement from them? Anyways, hands down one of the best upgrades I did on my BMW.
