Very little assembly required to get this super scale Skyraider in the air. Glue in the horizontal stabiliser with medium cyano or UHU-POR and connect up the clevis to the elevator horn. Attach the wing to the fuselage with the provided screw. Push in the landing gear legs and secure each with a screw. Attach the propeller. Glue on the scale bombs. Then all that remains is to install your receiver taking care to connect the flight stabilisation lead into the AUX1 channel and configure that against a 2 position switch on your transmitter so you can switch between Beginner and Expert modes.
Connect up a 3S800 lipo flight pack while the Skyraider is level on the ground and the stabilisation system will take a few seconds to arm. Check CG balance and orientation of flight surfaces with control inputs and you are set for your first mission. Take off in Beginner mode for the start of your first flight. In this mode the roll and pitch are limited and you are prevented from rolling to inverted flight. Switch to Expert mode and this limitation is removed but the stabilisation still smooths up any turbulence caused by the wind!
This Skyraider is very smooth to fly and so stable it can be flown in a relatively small space with ease if you keep the speed low. We tried some scale aerobatics and inverted flight and it could execute all with ease. A great value warbird to take to the airfield on the passenger seat of your car !
Filmed by Al for the 'Essential RC' CZcams channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder. Dom flies the H-King A-1 Skyraider.

Nice looking Plane! Thanks for the flight demo. I like these Mini sized Warbirds as they are a lot of fun to fly. See you in the Air!
I think flying the p 51 and the skyraider together would look amazing 😁
this isbone of the most coolest plane Ive ever seen!
Nice fly
Such a fantastic looking plane. Thank you so much for the video. I might buy this one.
It really would be a good choice in this size as would the P-51. Appreciate the feedback. Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)
@@EssentialRC definitely I saw the p51 as well so I am going to buy both of them together. Absolutely love your videos my friend keep it up.
Very very Beautiful plane
Amazing Camera Shots and a Awesome editing video,👍😁
Thank you so much 😁
Excellent
Thank you so much 😀
kool
How are you doing a review on an airplane that is out of stock everywhere putting up links that it’s available? Is there a shipment coming and Hobbyking is trying to pre-push it?
Hasn't been out long. No doubt it'll come back in stock. I did my first review video 2-3 weeks back. You must have missed it. 😄
ground attack !! chat chat a chata boom!! : 0
I just can't launch like that Dom, I have to go over arm but still left handed, plus it gives you an extra two foot or so 😉
Yeah...each to their own I guess Cliff. Always ends in disaster when I launch over arm. I can't seem to throw level! Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)
That's an advantage of flying mode 1, hand-tossing is easier with the right hand 🙃
Does it have multiple flight modes. Easy, middle, hard
Two modes. Beginner and Expert.
Great Video/Great Model - so I have just bought one! But..... WARNING TO ANYONE ABOUT TO BUY/FLY - 'A small batch have the Gyro installed upside down'!! There is no warning in the box, just a small download file attached to the Hobbyking website which I only saw by accident. There is no way to identify if your model is one of this batch that I can be sure of. I await information from Hobbyking to verify the way forward. I hope you don't mind me attaching this warning to your video.
What is better? This or H-King (PNF) Chance Vought F4U Corsair 750mm?
No difference in flying characteristics.
@@EssentialRC thank you very much!
@@CordionTutorial You're welcome. Go with what you think looks best. I like the F4U Corsair best.
@@EssentialRC Ok! I will do that. I like more of A-1, but is out of stock in hobby king. I will wait a little more. Thanks again! Do you recommend another store?
@@CordionTutorial Only HobbyKing sells it. Worldwide stock problems with everything RC these days sadly.
Does look better without the gear, but I doubt that prop will last long coming in belly up repeatedly. I'd be inclined to knock up some dummy fuel drop tanks to give the prop some clearance for belly landings.
It does have a big bomb in the middle and other ordnance underneath Alan. I'm kinda kicking myself I didn't point that out clearly in the vid and the fact that it didn't damage them on landing. So I think that takes care of the prop clearance. Cheers - Dom (Essential RC)
@@EssentialRC Yup, I know there's plenty of dummy ordnance comes with it, but I still think three of the large drop tanks, one on each wing and one on the centreline would give it better prop clearance and they'd be fairly easy to knock up. I am looking at getting one of these things and I probably will do that. The field where I fly stuff has some pretty long grass which does well for belly landing stuff though, so you never know. Anyway, I appreciate the review vids from someone who actually knows how to fly a proper escape maneuver out of a loop low down!
Very cool locking Plane!!! First! Lol
Thanks 👍
How much dose that coast
