I might do this a little neater and keep the cut out rectangle, add a hinge, a latch and perhaps some edge trim to clean up the look of the opening a bit.
Excellent video. I just cut out the same rectangle on my RAV4 2019 LE AWD and it worked. I do suggest covering up the sides of the cut-out with a siding. Because there are 6 little plastic supports for the plastic that gets exposed now and will cut up your hands if you're not careful. By the way. Do you have anymore ideas for rav4 hidden compartments?
Thought… purchase a hybrid model’s interior panel with battery access hatch and replace whole interior panel. I will however cut a hole for the time being. Thanks!
Is there a similar compartment on the other side of the trunk? I think I remember seeing some of the AWD stuff is there for adventure models, but I have a regular 2WD 2019.
Any idea what the dimensions of this area are? I'm thinking it could be a good spot for an amp, but don't want to tear it all apart until I'm ready to install everything.
Completely overlooked this video. There's gotta be more room in the console too. That thing is a monster. There's all kinds of room inside the doors. Wasted space.

I like the idea of an edge trim. Should be. Something easy to find online or a local store.

Yes. After the video, I went more closer to the edges and have a mimics wider opening for bigger things.
