I have a nurburgring edition corsa, I went with just the ramair filter for 40 quid, after a few days I did notice a sag in performance and found that the standard intake pipe between the maf and turbo was being sucked inward due to increase of air flow restricting said air, next on your list should be a proper silicone pipe to stop that from happening. The constant whoosh does get boring sometimes though, does it even off boost it seems sometimes haha

Also forgot to add it doesn't do this when parked up and revving, only when driving when there's more load going through everywhere :)

The whoosh is starting to wear off I won't lie, and yeah I definitely need some silicone pipes and I'm tempted into getting a performance panel filter. Thank you for the advice. Much appreciated

Shit idea, the cone filter will get heat-soaked after the engine bay gets warm and you'll see a drop in power, unless the induction kit comes with a sealed box or you repossition that cone to a colder soure of air your car is going to be worse than it was with the enclosed air box, if you can't make that happen get a K&N panel filter in the standard box, just watch out for oil residue on the MAF sensor. Good Luck (Y)

The stock airbox isn't very restrictive bud. It may sound better but you'll lose a couple hp. Don't waste your money on an induction kit ether, get a panel filter and save the cash for worthwhile mods.

Any modification to a car it is always best to alert your insurance company as they can quite easily void it unfortunately

I literally haven’t told my insurance about any mods I’ve done, had a stage 1 map, lowered slightly and exhaust etc, been going about 3 years with it now and haven’t been found out, and I’ve even got pulled over as I was speeding right past a under cover cop and they didn’t ask me anything regarding insurance etc, so you would probs just get away with it tbh. Just another way for insurances to get more money out of you.
