The world record bass is something pretty much every single bass fisherman has dreamed of at one point in time in their life. However, according to a professional bass angler, there might be a world record swimming around Lake Biwa right now!
BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

That’s insane! I’ll bet the lake water level went down after pulling that guy out. 😂
The fact that trout and salmon can live there show how good of a lake that must be. I was actually researched their apparently is a Biwa Trout. I'm sure all the fish in that lake are huge. would love to fish there some time.
Depends. We have a ton of lakes with trout, and Bass is the same size and even smaller (check Shaver Lake, CA)
Great video🙌🏼 love what u do!
Hey Tyler, I do a ton of reviews on Amazon on fishing equipment and lures and since I’ve learned so much from your channel I always add your CZcams link to every review. Hope this helps your views and likes bro. You do an awesome job explaining things so even newbies can understand. If you ever feel like sending anyone one of your awesome flexfit hats, I’d sport that all the time. Keep doing what you’re doing man, great job!
You dont hear about Big bass in Cali any more because of fish management. We pay 60 dollars and it goes to rich peoples pockets vs back into habitats and fisheries. Too many politicians grabbing money and not caring about the wildlife.
Road trip !!!!
I always heard when I was a kid (back in the 90s) the next world record would be caught in lake Perris socal. I think the lake record was 17-18lbs
The world record would have been Dottie.. a 25.01 lb largemouth that was caught once at 21 lbs back in 2001 and was caught again in 2005 by a gentleman named Mac Weekley.. and could have been certified as the new wr but Max chose not to because he had hooked the fish in the hill plate which resulted in a foul hook set 😅 Lake Dixon California.. a bucket list lake for me to fish 😊🎣
The bass in biwa are so big because of the law in Japan where you’re “supposed” to kill bass after you catch them because of them being labeled an invasive species. Although it is not practiced by most anglers, the killing of bass provides more forage for the ones that haven’t been killed being the reason for such large fish
Holy PIG, Batman!!!😳🤘😆
I live one hour north of where the world record bass was caught. Montgomery lake , a Oxford off the Ocumlgee river in telfair county Ga. I have yet been to it to fish. One day soon! Lol
Oxbow
@@zekethefishgeek8690 my fishing is better than my spelling lol
I live in Augusta , and I’ve heard that , the body of water that George Perry caught the world record bass out of , is now silted in pretty heavily.
The bass eats carp ☠️
I’m pretty sure there works record there, if only one day
Kenta is my favorite Japanese angler!!
T Namiki is good too. He's a funny dude
Lake Matthews in California
The world record has allread been caught not not reported.
State record here in Mississippi is 18.24lbs. Was caught within the last decade. The world record is out there somewhere.
Alabama is over 16 lbs but a guy caught one almost 19 and didn't do all the proper stuff so was disqualified. Unfortunately that Japan bass was 1 once from breaking the world record though. Rules state to break the record it mist be 2 ozs over the current record. Either way that was a crazy big bass and is tied with the record I believe in the books. Catching one that big would be wild lol
I would place California, Texas, and Florida as the most possible, with Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana all being possible. Japan or Africa are tough competition now though, and I am always finding out about some new place they have been introduced and are doing good.
And i think theres a world record here in tx.
Me too.
F1 largemouth is first generation. The first offspring would be considered an F2 and so on.
Lake Biwa is no joke. Worth the trip to go fish. You'll spend decend money but worth it. Just know you'll spend a small fortune on bass gear.
The only reason why the bass in cali during the 90's and early 2000's got crazy huge was because of the trout stocking programs. They stopped stocking trout in most of the California lakes because of invasive species like muscles and grass. Thats why no more 20lb+ bass been caught out west in a few decades. Next world record is going to be caught out of Dworshak and its going to be a smallmouth
Plenty of trout stocking going on in Northern/central California still today. Not sure about so cal.
Someone will have it caught and fried any day now
