Shad #fishing is just so much fun, every year we would target them when they are here!! #montreal #shad #americanshad
However, it can be tough and discouraging at first, especially at the beginning when they are just coming in. In this 2hrs session, me and a new friend caught some good American shads, however, things turned south really quickly when he left me there...

Awesome outing, Henry! One after the other dude, love it. I go twice a year for shad and it’s such a blast to hook up with those fish. I shouted a few words when you dropped your phone. Glad you recovered it!

Yah shad run is THE event for alot of the fisherman here, once a year for about 2 weeks, I am hoping we are still in the early part! Haha part of me died as the phone dropped, but yah luckily was able to retrieve!

I grew up casting the banks for Shad with the Shad dart👍 is there a fish ladder at that dam or is that the end of the line for the Shad run? You were having a really good outing Henry! A lot of nice looking ones too.
That really sucks with the phone. Happened to me 3 times 😂. One time in a lake in Canada, one in the ocean and the other in the Delaware river.

It restarts for pike 5th May for pike and perch! And if you go for trouts is April 28th

Yes some people do, mainly worm fishing, it is allowed until walleye breeding!
