hey mate i’m from adelaide and i love your fishing content i do not have the best luck at west lakes but the ports do the trick and watching your videos has helped me find more spots to fish love the content keep it up mate can’t wait for the beach fishing
@@rileymagro6285 thanks heaps Riley! Trying to showcase more spots for people to enjoy! Westlakes has been very rough lately haha! Got a big weekend of fishing ahead so hopefully get into a few!
Iam 62 when I was a young kid use to fish the port with my dad we caught so many big mulloway every time we went I’ll never forget those days and still think about it all the time the size of the bream we caught were beyond belief so many memories of fishing the port 50 odd years ago
Hey mate a year older and the Port was great for Mulloway. How good was it driving on to the wharfs. I reckon wharfs 4 might have been our hangout night fishing.
Just like the person below but I am 69 and the best mulloway I landed from those rocks in the hot water outlet was 32 Kilos and 18Kilos on the other side in the main channel. Your not doing any thing that we haven't already done but much of the port river structures that we fished are not there now. Good luck to you.
@@Sam-sj4pd overfished maybe? Land based is easy to access and it’s gaining popularity. This is the last time I fish the area, nothing worth catching size wise recently!
I fish from a kayak and have caught all sorts...salmon. bream, snapper, flathead, mulloway, whiting....all on lures, mainly soft plastics. Without a kayak your options are very limited these days.

@@steventurner8428 wow that’s some good fish! Thanks Steven!
soft plastics go alright. Other poster is right though, about Port being done these days. Back in the day the fishing was insane.
Been fishing the port and that area since i was a kid.. The last 10-15 years the fish have just about dissapeared..

@@DyslexicDragon1 yeah right, do you fish that side of the port? The ship wrecks I here are decent by kayak, or do you go further down the river
We got hit by a big school of blue Mackerel in the Port River one night about 15 years ago.
