I've just been binge watching your videos the whole day and tbh they're so relaxing and interesting on how it turns out in the end. 😍 really good job!
Your spreads seriously look like something from a store I wish I could draw that good
Wow, I love your set up! When I look at yours it looks so professional, ordered and nice - and then I look at mine and its looks like 8 yr old did it.....
+xXOneArmedScissorXx hahahahaha...oh i feel my learning curve (from where I am to where bojoberry is)will be HUGE!!
I love how your videos are always so thorough and clear! I'm getting a bullet journal for Christmas and am eagerly awaiting it! your videos have really helped me to properly understand every part of bullet journaling because they're so visual and you talk through every thing so well. thank you Kara!
I really enjoyed watching this video!!!! You make me want to run out and get a notebook and pens and start doing this, too! Thank you for sharing this with us 😊
+Being Jenny Marie You're very welcome! Thanks for watching & commenting :)
Wowzers! I'm super impressed and will watch this over and over. I wouldn't have ever thought of this with such detail and design. AWESOME
+Books Over Tv Thanks SO much! :)
Love this, I love how everything is done by hand! No stickers or anything, I wish I was this creative!
+TheTamEra06 Aw, thank you for that! As with anything else in life, I think creativity comes with practice and IS a skill that can be learned. :)
I love the fact that in October I already started using a method similar to the bullet journal (instead of writing my to-do lists in random sheets of paper I started writing everything in a notebook, I also wrote a monthly view)... then, at the end of October a saw a pin on Pinterest linking to your website, to the page where you explain what the "bullet journal" is, and I thought that it was cool, because I already used this method without anyone telling me to do it, and I write lists of things I have to do everyday since I was a kid, so this is the perfect method for me to organize my life while being creative (when I was 8 to 13 years old I created my own diaries by cutting and stitching paper and I continuosly changed my "font"!) Now I'm a Graphic Designer but I've lost this kind of need to experiment with paper, this bullet-journal-thing is a great way to give your brain a rest while you try to decorate and make the page more useful and "productive", I love it! Thanks for helping me bringing my creativity back :) I wish you a nice weekend from Italy :D
+Simona Catalfo That is SO awesome, Simona! I'm excited that you'll be going "back to your roots" so to speak! Enjoy the ride :)
I'm inspired by your planner & layout. I think I've found my holy grail for pages layout...now to apply it to my new agenda....
I have been thinking about getting into the Bullet Journal system for quite a while, but I wasn't convinced I wanted to go full analog again as I'm pretty notorious for forgetting things, and if I don't have my journal with me at all times, I'm apt to not keep up with it. However, watching you set up yours has made me remember why School Supply Shopping was my favorite time of year! I love notebooks and pens and all things organize-y! Thank you for your wonderful videos and blog, and helping me confirm that this is definitely something I want to try.
+Nicole Look-Christensen (The Recliner Jockey) Aw, I love that Nicole! I've always been an office supply enthusiast, so this is just the natural course of events for me. I'm so glad you're finding my info helpful! Let me know if you have any questions along the way :)
Lol. I love how you have an exclamation after Run! I always do that too.
I love your videos so much! I came across your channel when looking up bullet journaling inspiration, and your system is so pretty, and makes so much sense to me. Thank you for sharing this with all of us! I feel like I've learned a lot from watching.
Your videos are fantastic! I tried bullet journaling several months ago and quit because some of the information I found online was overwhelming. Your videos have inspired me to give it another go. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful ideas!
+Amanda Newson The key is definitely to start simple :) Thanks for stopping by and commenting :)
I love this!! I really appreciate that you made this video. I'm such a visual person and I wondered about how to set up new bujo and this has inspired me so much! Thank you! I'm so excited to get started.
You might want to consider covering the addresses (with something other then youtube annotations).
+It cant be the end of the world (because I don't feel fine) Yeah. You can just x those.
Awesome. I've "borrowed" your monthly calendar set-up and tracker over the past few months, and just love how it's working out. I also borrowed the gratitude spread when that was shared during the #planwithmechallenge on IG on someone else's feed, but at the end of mine in all that extra room I do a "What I learned in XX month" little journaling session. Fabulous. I bought my son one of Ryder's official Bullet Journals (he's going to AU in Jan for an 8 month internship) and left it in his room for when he came home over Thanksgiving break, and he told me already bullet journals! awesome.
+Beth Richardson I love that you're sharing the Bullet Journal love with your son, Beth! Also, what a great idea to use that extra space for "lessons learned" for the month... I may have to "borrow" that one from you! :)
After watching your videos, I ended up ordering my own Leuchtturm after spending what felt like all day going back and forth between it and the Moleskin. I've done Bullet Journaling in the past, and enjoyed it, but get distracted by all the pretty and shiny planners out there that never quite fit my needs. Thanks for all the ideas on creating my own!
+theycallmesaucy I totally hear you! I'm guilty of buying ALL of the pretty planners and then fading out and not using them after a while. This is the first system that I have been able to stick to :)
planner looks awesome! I would totally try it but I know I'm too lazy to keep it up. but yours is probably my favorite I've seen so far. and really it's less complicated and probably less expensive then some others. All you need is markers, journal, ruler :)
+Jubilee JamOnIt Thanks! That's what I love about the bullet journal system. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you like. For me, it's just my notebook and some pens... with the occasional bit of washi tape, but just between us... I only use washi to cover up mistakes ;)
Boho Berry You know what? You inspired me to get a bullet journal. I'll still use the planner I just bought since it's simple and I dont have to do much designing. But I can put more of my "wordy" thoughts in the bullet journal. Use it as...well...just a journal. ^_^ You're video gave me a lot of ideas of how to set it up adn some things to journal about though. So thank you!
I just want to say I love your Bullet Journal!! You're an amazing bullet journal-er! You're the best one I have ever found! NO LIE. I wish I could be as creative as you with just text!
Amazing and such a great way to be organized
Thanks so much for sharing! I just started with bullet journaling and I am loving your videos. Seeing you actually set up your month was super helpful :)
+Kim West You're very welcome, Kim! :D
That's a work of art! 💗
Welcome to CZcams! Loving all your videos so far :)
+Mia Moore Thanks Mia! It's pretty exciting so far, I'm happy to be here :)
Your videos are amazing - you have SO many great ideas! I am so impressed (especially after watching dozens of Bullet Journal/Planning videos) ... I was excited to binge watch you other videos ... and am so disappointed to see that you have just started and only have 3 videos completed! Looking forward to more!
+Deborah Rose Thanks Deborah! I promise there will be more videos very soon :D
Love this! Thanks for sharing! I'm loving your videos.
+BlackSunJamie Thanks so much!
Love your videos!! Definitely going to try bullet journaling!
i just found your channel and fell in love with it.and you also just earned a subscriber.
I love your planners. What a wonderful discovery!!! Thank you so much for sharing
+Arte Con Clase Thanks! And you're very welcome :)
+Arte Con Clase YES. I'm grateful that she shares almost the whole planner in detail and goes slow enough for us to really see and understand what she is doing. Some vids r so hazy in the details and go so fast that I'm not truly inspired because I still don't know where to start. (I don't want to see peoples' truly personal stuff or finances. I wouldn't share that online!) Kara, your vids are great!!! Thank u for all of it. I can't wait to see the progression as you change things up and learn what possibilities lie ahead for my own journal.
I got impatient waiting for Plan With Me for December 2017 and found this one! Wow, has your hand lettering changed! And it's interesting to look back as see how your monthly setup has evolved.
Wow! This was SO helpful! I'm setting up for the first time so this was wonderful. You are a great inspiration! Thank you so much for sharing your process.
+dphock I'm so glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching :)
i loooooovveee this! i just started bullet journaling and that is more like a planner; so i only have a spread for like monthly goals and/or event reminders, the calendars with tasks + notes on each three-fourth second page (my journal only has 25 lines so a month takes two pages with many blank spaces left) then the dailies (which i made into a pun of Dai Li like from The Last Airbender!) which is just reminder of what i should do, want to achieve, etcetera. it's really simple and basic but so far i'm pretty happy with it (and by so far i mean about a day and two hours). whereas as i see it, you mix your daily journal and your planner! that's more practical tbh aha but i'm a mess so maybe it was indeed for the best when i separated them :p
So many great ideas. Thank-you!
Love the ideas I got from this! Thank you! And thanks for linking the pens. I was going to ask about your brush pens! They're on my wish list now.
+jennilee2610 The Tombow markers are amazing! I have the full (96) set on my Christmas wishlist :)
so glad I find you on youtube. I just did a diy planner and you gave me a lot of ideas.
+Galina Macvittie Yay! I'm so happy you found some helpful ideas here :)
I just found your videos today and have watched a bunch of them already through my shift today (yay for downtime).
You inspired me to get back into using a BuJo again. So - Thank you!!

+Joan Joe Haha thanks! It's due to LOTS of practice :)
Pretty cool. Thank you for sharing.
omg, i love the way you designed your planner!
+anabanana anastasia Thank you SO much! :D
Boho Berry 🌺
I really am learning so much from u! I am not going to start a bullet journal just yet as I'm having a hard enough time with my new (cheapy, but I like it) planner. I merged 2 planners and made some place holders from other notebooks. Its been fun.
When you flip to a blank page I get this hint of anxiety. I think "hmmm what the heck would I put there???" I LOVE how part of your journal is structured, and part is organic. That fits my needs and style to a tea. Sometimes I need one, sometimes the other. So I am inspired. I do have a journal that I keep (just for journal writing) but I don't write in it often. I only write in it when I'm at a cafe or Barns and Nobel (a fav hangout). Maybe once a week, maybe twice a month. Not enough for sure.
+felinekj What does YNAB stad for in you expenses area?
+felinekj *stand for
+felinekj Never mind, I found it below : )
wow! the way you use it just great :) nice video!!
+Yasinta Mayestika Thanks Yasinta!
I am so envious of how artistic you are! I have a standard Erin Condren planner but love this idea so much more :( Love to see more!
+Keshia Dolce I've actually seen a few people Bullet Journaling in their EC's... maybe you could give that a go? Thanks a bunch :)
I love that so much! such a great job! followed you everywhere I could haha
+Kristina Bobrova Haha sounds good! Nothing wrong with a new "stalker" right? Lol

Looks soooooooo nice

+monicaz44 You're very welcome! Thanks for watching :)
Love your channel! So inspiring, I would love a video on all the fonts you like to write with. :) thanks
+Lauren Scott Russell (JadeGotTheFish) Great idea Lauren! It's going on my list right now :)
Hello from a fellow YNAB (You Need A Budget) user. I'm new to Bullet Journalling and this video was very helpful. Thanks.
+hazel b You're very welcome! YNAB for the win!
Some people have said this before, but the annotation is not protecting the addresses. It can be easily deleted from a computer and it won't even show up on a mobile. I suggest finding another way to cover it up for the privacy of your friends :)
I would love to see a video on how you practiced your handwriting!
+Sarah Banks That one is definitely coming soon, as it's been requested a bunch lately! Thanks :)
Very nice, just wish I was more artistic. Lovely writing also. Do like the spread
+Sue Fitz Thank you Sue! You definitely don't have to be artistic to Bullet Journal. I like to express myself that way but it is in NO way a requirement :)
That fountain pen you use for Waiting On section is everything! Where in the world did you get that?!?!
+Wendi Decker Miller That's a Pilot Metropolitan that I got from GouletPens.com :)
Great video :) I notice someone else has asked about a weekly section. I flit back and forth between thinking I really need one then not using it some weeks which annoys me. How do you deal with your week at a glance? Do you just use your monthly?
+Mariek76PTC I have played around with a weekly spread for my business tasks, but found that I really didn't use it or reference it at all. I find that dailies just work best for me with the way that my brain works. I may play around with a couple of different weekly spreads in the future though, so stay tuned :)
Excellent video - One of the top Bullet Journal videos I have seen. I love the way you explain things so clearly, and love your ideas for "special" pages .... but HOW do you write so straight? Is it practice or do you have a secret?
+Deborah Rose As far as writing straight goes... the notebook I use has a faint dot grid on it. I prefer this over lined paper as it almost fades into the background once there is writing on the page :)
Amazing as always! Side note: have you ever considered doing a Q&A video? I have about five questions off hand I'd love to ask!
+Darbi Hines I'm definitely considering it! I get a TON of questions daily so that would be a huge help I think. Thanks for the suggestion :)
Great video Kara! Truly inspiring!
What Staedtlers (sp??) are you using there? Do you find they bleed through your Leuchtturm? I find mine bleed really badly, but it doesn't look like yours did. Wondering if they're a different sort! Thanks lovely! xo
+Cerries Mooney I use the Staedtler Triplus Fineliners linked in the description. I've never had a problem with them bleeding through and I tend to have a pretty heavy hand... hope that helps! :)
very very nice..tfs
I love your video, it was VERY helpful. I just have one question on your expenses page, what die YNRB stand for
sorry I meant YNAB
+Lynn Thompson YNAB is short for You Need A Budget. It's the budget software that I use. Once I log my transaction in YNAB, I'll check it off in my BuJo :) If you're curious about the software: ynab.refr.cc/653WD77
Thank you for sharing your organizational strategies! I already bullet journal, but now I want to amp it up. P.S. Please consider changing the song you play on repeat.
+Shelby Cramer Thanks Shelby! I appreciate the constructive criticism too :)
Your handwriting is so nice :0
+ColourfulCloud Thank you! :)
This is great! Do you do any end-of-month review type stuff?
+Sarah Kerner I sure do! I'll be posting my first monthly review at the end of this month :)
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND YOUR HANDWRITING IS AMAZING! I got hooked on your channel. Can you make a video on handwriting ?
+Sophie C. Thanks Sophie! I'll have a handwriting video very soon :)
beautiful BuJo! Also, lovely tattoos, and what ink do you have in your Metro?
+seattlemeg Thanks girl! I have Diamine Marine in my turquoise Metropolitan... it matches the pen perfectly :D
Sorry I know this video is old, and your way of journaling may have changed since this post, but am I seeing this correctly.... Do you keep two separate journals? I am soooo knew to this and really trying to grasp this and how to set up my book , but it is so easy to get overwhelmed with all the post of how to and I just need a starting point for set ups with all the how's, when to's, and why's. Do you have a "Barney styled" video for those like me? I love your videos and watch Allie Browns videos too. I have only started this month and let's just say "it's a HOT MESS". Much Love and thanks😉
So in terms of your daily's, when do you plan for those or write in what you need to do for the day? The night before, a couple of days before or the morning of? I just feel like it's not really planning if you are writing in hat you need to do on that day the night before. Maybe I just need to adjust it to what suits me. So in terms of that what is the difference between what is going in to your daily's and what is going on to your monthly spread?
+Melissa Edwards Hi Melissa! Great questions! You can see my planning routine here: www.bohoberry.com/faq
As far as future planning goes, I keep all of my future appointments in an iCal calendar that I share with my husband. As the new month arrives, I enter them into the monthly spread and they subsequently get migrated into my dailies.
For to-do's and tasks without a specific date (or that I want to do at some other time) I put them into a "Brain Dump" page to get them out of my brain and on paper. I migrate them to a daily page once I decide to tackle them.
Hope that helps! :)
My ocd wants to just color in that line you missed on your money page :( I love the lay out and everything, it's gorgeous and yeah ocd XD Again, no hate just ocd, i LOVE your work though!!!!
hospitalcakewalk I can't unsee it now...
Hello, have your pages in the notebook lines?
This was amazing and really inspiring!
I have just one question : i didn't see a weekly spread. Do you find it unnecessary?
I'm struggling with that part and still searching for my own organisation!
Thanks again for sharing i really enjoyed it!
Cheers for France :)
+Charlotte Couvat Honestly, I haven't really seen the need for a weekly spread. I like to fill in my tasks as I go each day. I have toyed with the idea of a weekly spread for my blog/business tasks - more like an editorial calendar for the week, but I haven't found a spread that works for me yet in that regard. Hope that helps!
+Boho Berry Thanks for getting back to me. I tried a new spread this month we will see! Looking forward to see the #planwithmechallenge starting tomorrow (in France at least!) See you soon on IG. @keepcalm_and_bulletjournal!
Haha! I thought I was the only nerdy one that tracked her tips / receipts / etc....
I don't know if this has been asked before but what does YNAB stand for? Thanks for a great video.
It stands for You Need A Budget... it's the budgeting software that I use :) www.youneedabudget.com
Do you know how sharpie pens work with the paper? Is there bleed through, or do they work a lot like the artist pens you use?
+turner pierce Hi Turner! Sharpie PENS should be completely fine. Just make sure they are the pens and not the fine tip Sharpir Markers. The markers will most definitely bleed through almost any paper. :)
Ohk great! Thank you!
Awesome video. btw, your nails are SO pwetty. xD
+Abinaya N Thank you so much! :)
hello miss boho Berry I just love watching you write and doodle would you know of a good book to buy that would teach all these beautiful hand lettering please
+Carine Patin Hi Carine, I have learned through watching videos and trying to replicate what I see on Pinterest. I haven't scouted out any books (yet) :)
at 6:40 when you are writing Dec 2015 and made a calendar for Jan. the goals you write are they future goals for Jan or current goals for Dec?
Second question: what you made looks like a calendex. Are you doing monthly and yearly calendex together and how is it helpful?
Please reply :) xx
PS I really love your Bujo vids and have watched them all, I got the idea how I wanna set up my bujo :)
Hi there! Those were my current goals for the month of December. This monthly layout is not a Calendex, since I write events and appointments in it directly rather that "indexing" them on another page. I did, however start using a Calendex a few months later which you can see in future videos :)
Thank you so much for your comment :)
+Boho Berry I have watched all your videos and I am watching again to get to start my own and I wanted to know the difference between the two because. really loved your calendex. you are truly an inspiration to everyone. :) thanks for replying. I got v excited to see your reply.
Do you use more than one book for a year? I haven't started my journal yet, I am waiting for it to come, it says it has 240 pages which by my calculations will not last me through the year unless that means it has 240 sheets of paper. Even my most conservative estimates put me above 300 pages.
+Jessica Thompson It typically takes me about 4-5 months to fill up a notebook. Once it's full I migrate the important collections to a new notebook and carry on :)
On the expenses spread, what does the "YNAB" stand for?
You Need A Budget ... Try it it's excellent.
i would like learn how you do the letters (morning), like very easy but I try and it's not really. Sorry my english.
I'm sorry but, on the 10:57 mark, did you just write from right to left?!? :O
oh my god you have a really beautiful handwriting♡♡♡ i tried to decorate my journal but i messed up and bc i'm a crazy perfectionist, my mood to decorate my journal just kinda disappear :(
+aglxo I'm a recovering perfectionist myself, so I feel your pain... BuJo has actually helped me to become less of a perfectionist... If you look closely you'll see mistakes everywhere ;)
