I am really looking forward to your Calendex video.
Looking forward to calendex video :)
Hi! A few weeks ago I wrote a comment about how overwhelming this looked and I want to tell you that your answer pointed me in the perfect direction, I now have my own personalized bullet journal! I even added a daily expense spread that is helping me a lot to be much more organized, even though it's not perfect I love it so much! I feel a lot more happy with myself and kind of feel like a better person and it's all thanks to you!! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! I'm sending you a lot of positive energy and love and happiness!!! Can't wait for your next video!
+Alejandra Martinez Aw, I love that Alejandra! Thanks so much for sharing :) I'm so happy that you've found a way to adapt it to your needs :) And thanks for the positive vibes, they're always much appreciated!
I found your videos about a week ago and I'm becoming obsessed with this very creative way of Bullet Journaling, can't stop watching and getting ideas to organize the many aspects of my life. I"ve also looked up "The Morning Miracle" and other things you mentioned and will definitely integrate them.I am so full of gratitudel that I came across your videos.
Looking forward to the future planning with the Calendex video!
inspiring as always Kara...I should send you my blank Bujo to write in all my headers for me! Really interested to see the calendex video...have a great weekend x
Hi! I love this video :) I think I'm finally ready to convert to the calandex system though, so I can't wait for the video to come out!! I've been running a bujo since Jan 1st and it has completely changed my life. My life is 100% more manageable and with how crazy it is, that's really saying something! I'm so grateful for your video walkthroughs. They make setting everything up doable :) Thanks again!! P.S. This time of month every day is a waiting game of "Can I set up the next month yet? Is it too soon??" haha. I think today is the day!
+Amberley Powell Thanks! The Calendex video will be here next week :)
Love it! This month is the first month I am only using my bullet journal as my daily. Super excited! I was using my ChicDori with a daily insert from YPH but I wasn't using the daily sheets at all. I ended up having my husband create a A5 ChicDori for me so now I still get my TN feel and have my beloved Rhodia. Cross your fingers I have planner peace, Ha!! Great video!
+MandyJeanChic Thanks! I've got my fingers crossed for you :)
Hi, am enjoying your series. I'm very much looking forward to hearing your ideas on incorporating GTD with Bullet journalling as I've been searching out ways to do this for a while now. Good luck!
+L Tassoni Thank you! I'm looking forward to incorporating it as well :)
Great video again and again from you!!!
honestly your planner is the only one that actually work for me. I have tried so many variants of planning but you are the only person that totally inspires me.
keep this way! !!
+Amalia ailamA Thank you so much, Amalia! I love hearing that :)
Awesome video! I love how you change up your daily headers! I caught some inspiration from your Thu 2/25 daily! And I'm planning to incorporate your right page of the weekly planner that you showed on IG (i think?) with meal plans, etc. Thanks for so much inspiration!
+tishushu Awesome! Yes, I'm loving that weekly spread so far! I did a video on it as well: czcams.com/video/35msTpKzl2g/video.html
Vthank you so much for this +Kara I'm really enjoying your clear videos. I'm looking forward to the calendex video, to find out about it. :)
Looking forward to the Calendex video! I can't wait to use it. ☺
+HeatherRenee619 It will be here on Friday :)
Woohoo!!
GTD is a great system. Revolutionised how I look at projects and managing my time. Ever note is a great tool to use it with.
+Mariek76PTC Yes! I've already been brainstorming ways to incorporate some elements into my Bullet Journal, but I think a digital app like Evernote will be the best place to organize projects, etc. before putting the nitty gritty into my BuJo. I'll be finishing the book this afternoon and then it's on to implementation :)
+Boho Berry It was the whole "next action" concept that really clicked for me. So many times I would put off projects because they seemed overwhelming. Looking at the next action you can do to move it forward makes it easier to get started. Ties in nicely with the concepts in the "The One Thing" and "Eat that Frog" books too.
+Boho Berry My husband and I are reading GTD (no kidding, he has to read it a a professional development task for work, so I'm reading as well so I can discuss it with him for better understanding before he needs to discuss it with his group).. and I would love if you did a CZcams video on how you use Evernote alongside your BUJO. I feel like there is so much more to Evernote that I could be using better, I just don't have the time to dig into it right now (I can't wait to be done my degree).
You are so talented at making straight lines, it was mesmerizing! Haha.
+Rebecca Kelsey Sampson Haha! It comes with loads of practice :)
I have literally been refreshing for the past 3 hours!
Okay I have looked all over for those rub on stickers and I can't find them anywhere little help please!! I love your videos. I came across them one day and decided I would give bullet Journaling a try and so far I love it.
Amazing job...as always! I, too am looking forward to the Calendex video!
Inspiring as always. I am starting my very first bullet journal come March first so these videos help a great deal. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful work and ideas! I really enjoy watching you:)
+D Schreiner You're welcome :) Thanks for watching!
This was such a helpful video - really helped me feel out what I wanted my next month to be like in my journal! Thanks for the inspiration :)
+Plethoran You're very welcome :)
Could you do a video on how you take notes for books? And then how you are able to go back to reference them? I read a LOT of non-fiction books in a few different areas of my life and have tried taking notes but always end up feeling like I will never be able to remember to go back to look...
+Amy I simply write my notes on the next blank page in my journal, and then index them at the front for future reference :)
Thank you so much. Very simple idea. :)
I noticed my energy levels this month too! I had a "re calibrate" page where I listed tasks I could do for moments when I felt a little out of it :) thanks for the video!
+Danielle A Ooooh, I like that idea too! Thanks for sharing :)
Hi - Great Video, I am so much happier with my Bullet Journal since watching you - make sure you are reading the 2016 version of Getting things Done - I have spent a lot of time with the book and the process - Also there are some great Pod Casts based on his productivity method that I find very useful as reinforcement.
+agentmom4 Thanks! Yes, I'm reading the new version and loving it so far! :)
Great video. Really informative!! Can't wait to start my journal
Love your videos! I'm really getting motivated, great ideas!
Take care
Vicki
+dizzyk54 Thanks Vicki! :)
Yay! The nails are back!! :) You inspire me! Even though my BuJo looks slightly different to yours due to different goals and priorities, I never miss a chance to watch your videos. I take This & That from all your ideas and make it my own. Which is kind of the point I assume. LOL Have fun at Alcatraz today.
+Pam Gawluk Thanks so much, Pam! And yes, the signature nails are back haha!
I have read some of Getting Things Done, it is very good :) Hope you enjoy.
Been waiting so long for this video. Love it!
Can u do a flip through of your current bullet journal?
So beautiful! I love your stuff!
+Buzzy Anderson Thank you!
Hi Boho Berry! I am contemplating bullet journaling. Where do you put your random notes (like, say notes from talking with your child's teacher, or things you are jotting down while speaking with your doctor, etc)? My current calendar is full of random notes that I often refer back to. I'd love to know how you organize those random thoughts and notes from phone calls, etc. Thanks! Kim
+streamlinedchic Typically that just goes right into whatever daily page I'm on :) You could also write your notes on the next available page and index them individually to make them easier to find
love itttt, planned with you indeed
+Julia Zanko Awesome! Love it :)
Amazing Bullet journal!
+Jara Dvořáková Thank you! :)
I really appreciate your tasks :) U become my idol now :)
I found your videos a few weeks ago and absolutely love them and you. I am starting my own bullet journal March 1st as well. I have found with a lot of you tubers who make planner videos (including other planner formats) work from home but I have an office job. I would like to use my bullet journal for personal and big work things. Do you have any suggestions or maybe can do a video on how someone might incorporate personal and larger daily work tasks/meetings into one bullet journal?
+Lisa Nagy I just started the bullet journal system and had this issue as well! Personally, I wanted to keep my personal bullet journal separate from my full time job. I use a smaller paperback notebook for work tasks. I take my smaller notebook out at work and use that, then when I'm home I use my hardcover bullet journal. So far it's working well!
+StudioBAS I think that is what I'm also going to do, which is basically what I do now, using a notebook at work and an EC at home. I'm curious though, do you put any work info in your bullet journal like meetings or major projects that you have to work on? Sometimes I feel like I like to have an idea what to expect before going in to work. So I currently have a box in my EC devoted to work.
+Lisa Nagy I actually keep my little notebook for work and my personal bullet journal in a case together. So I'm able to look at my work notebook the night before. I also keep some appointments and things for work in my personal journal if they effect my non-work days. I'll have a video up soon on my whole system if u wanna check it out!
I really enjoy those Videos! I Love, that you show us everything in depth! Please keep on doing these :) greeting, Tiziana
+jennarink You betcha! I feel like the "why" and "how" behind everything are the most important part :)
You are just so cool.
It's funny because I also switch my monthly March page 😊
+Roxanne Cote That's what I love about the Bullet Journal! It's so easy to switch things up based on what you need. :)
Hi Kara, I've just discovered you and love all things Boho Berry! I am just setting up my very first bullet journal for March. You have inspired me so much and in so many ways! I wondered if perhaps you could explain more about your video edit process? I'm a teacher and would love to make some for my children to help them with homework but have no idea where to start!
+Louise Smith Hi Louise. I use iMovie to edit my videos. There are LOADS of great tutorials if you do a quick search here on CZcams :)
Awesome ideas..enjoyed
Doh! I just decided to abandon my usual old school original monthly index to try yours! We'll see how I get on - my life isn't really that busy but I like the opportunity draw some more kawaii blobs around something :o)
+Charmaine W No worries! That monthly view served me well for a long time! Switching it out is definitely an experiment, so we'll see how it goes :)
I want to know more about those stickers so I can visit a Michael's today!! I knew I hadn't decorated the front cover yet for a reason
+Lauren Gosnell I found them near the check-out... they had a huge display with all sorts of scrapbooking stuff in "Boho" style. I picked up some cute note cards with the same theme as well :) I can't find them on their web site but I did a quick search on Amazon for "rub on stickers" and came up with this: amzn.to/1R7bA3R
+Boho Berry Woohoo!! Thank you for always sharing
I'm just getting started and I've watched your videos several times but since there's so much to absorb... LOL Anyway, I thought it would be easier to just ask. Do you keep space/pages to keep all your daily's together? I've been getting my journal ready and today is the actual start date! And do you list them in your index? I know, basic, boring questions! LOL
+thejunkjunque There are no boring questions! :) I don't leave any empty space. I simply write out each day as I go along. I don't bother indexing every single page, rather I index the entire month and any collections I may have along the way. I hope that helps! :)
I love your videos keep it up
+koogy Sami Thank you!
This was helpful. I am new to bullet journaling and am trying to figure out how to fit my family activities into it; how specific or general, how much to log, if I should even log it at all. I am already married to my Google calendar which takes care of a lot of things, but I'm trying to figure out how to use them together.
We are a family of four and we are all active (in different capacities) in three sports. The kids have games and practices, my husband coaches two sports, and I am the program manager of two and do stats or keep score at all three. We also handle fundraisers throughout the year for these sports, most of which we plan. We both also have full-time jobs. (I have started a separate bullet journal just for work which seems so much easier to plan than my life!) I have looked for bullet journal ideas for a working mother with a multi-kid family with lots of practices and games but can't seem to find one. Do you have any ideas? or suggest any posts/blogs I can refer to?
Since you're into David Allen, I suggest you also look up The Agile system by JD Meier. I read GTD years ago and it was also a system that ultimately was designed to get things done within a context; whereas Agile completely transformed my perspective and it uses similar concepts but to govern your entire life in comparison. I consider Meier a genius. What he does basically is uses an ultimate mission for your life and then narrow that into a monthly plan which translates into a weekly plan and finally into a daily one. It works really really well with planners. It was the only system I followed that actually stuck with me. Highly recommended if you ever get the time. I read the book like 3 times already but in case you want a glimpse, you can find it here: gettingresults.com/wiki/Main_Page
I'm looking forward to the Calendex video as well. Just a thought here not a criticism and I welcome others opinions on this as well. I feel like it would be beneficial for me to have a closer up view of your videos sometimes. I do have a Smart TV and am thinking I might get a larger view of your videos if I watched them on my TV rather than my computer. The Calendex and gratitude layout are two things I'd like to see closer up. For example (maybe it is my lousy eyesight) I can't tell for sure if you skip lines when laying out the gratitude journal per month. Does anyone have an opinion on this? As I said I am not meaning to be critical. I love these videos. I have lousy eyesight even with corrective lenses. Have a good weekend everyone!
+Life Paths Thanks for the feedback! If you want to see close-up photos/pictures you can always click through to some of the blog links I put in my descriptions, I usually get really up-close over there. Also, if you follow on Instagram I often have detailed close-ups there as well :)
As far as the gratitude log, I don't skip any lines. It looks something like this:
1 *

2 *

3 *

This helps a lot. I appreciate the response. How do you deal with sick days in your bujo? I've been sick for 3 weeks now and it is very frustrating. It's the kind of sick where I have no energy whatsoever and sleep a lot. Nasty virus. Nothing is getting done seriously nothing.
Thanks for another great video Kara! I have a silly question about the daily pages. You have numbers 1-12 twice, which I am guessing represents time? And then you have colored them different blocks of color. Can you please explain how you use that and what it means?? Can't wait for the Calendex video!! Hugs!!!
+Kimberly Eddy Hi Kimberly! If you check out my "Daily Planning" video, I explain this in detail :) czcams.com/video/QD08sNRQkpk/video.html
+Boho Berry Thanks Kara!! I am off to watch!!!
Hi! I love your videos, you are definitely one of my favourite CZcamsrs. I'm curious, what nail polish are you wearing? It's gorgeous! xx
+Lauren Howell (xLaurensLifex) Thanks Lauren! It's my favorite!
Brand: Essie - Color: Mint Candy Apple
Oh nice! Thanks :)
second question - do you move your collections from one book to the next? when you make lists like books to read or the savings tracker - also you can open an Amazon store for your BUllet Journal supplies - as another form of passive income - you may as well I just bought the 1917 based on your videos
+agentmom4 Thanks! I talked a little bit about how I migrate collections in my January video: czcams.com/video/dXJZBTF63WI/video.html
Thanks for the tip on Amazon, I already use their affiliate program and I love it :)
Hello! Thank you for your videous, I'm in love with them! Pure inspiration!!!
I've even bought Leuchtturm1917! And I'm going to start my very first BuJo in march)) Thank you for sharing and inspiration!
Also I have a question: yesterday I became a tribe member, but I could not find the library. Where can I find a link?
P.S. GTD is a great system! In love with it! I've read this book again in january)
+Анна Рязанова The link + password should be in the welcome email that you received :)
I know you sped it up, but how long does this take you? Your hand writing is lovely. Since watching your videos, i have been inspired to improve mine. Love these videos.
+Heather Ferguson Before editing, the video was 45 minutes long. :)
I really enjoy your videos and find them inspiring. I am very new to the bullet journal and I love seeing what you put in your journal. I could not find the super cool rub on stickers you mentioned on the Michaels web site. Could you find a link or give the name of the company that makes them? Thanks for doing what you do!
+3curlygirls I haven't been able to find them online either. They were in a big display right before the check-out aisle along with other boho-themed goodies. I know that's not much help, but it's all I have to go on as I threw away the packaging already. Sorry!
Hey, I love your videos! I've got a quick question. I started doing weekly spreads a month or two ago, and I've been listing them in my index with the range of days included. How do you index your weekly spreads, or do you do it at all?
+Brigitte Phillips I don't index my dailies or weekly spreads. Just months and collections. So I'll have the page number where my month starts/ends and then all of my collections for that month :)
Hello! Do you think you might do a downloadable March Tracker? Your February one helped me so much!! x
+SaintOrCinema I already did. It's in the Tribe Resource Library :)
+Boho Berry Hi, sorry to ask a silly question. I'm a tribe member but I have no idea where to find the resource library. Is there a link, please? Or is there a link in the newsletter? Thank you x
+Boho Berry Found it, sorry!! haha x
Hi Kara! Love your videos!! Question: where do you keep your daily notes? on daily pages? or on a different page? I usually end up putting notes on my dailies but then they get lost in my book (sometimes it's an item or topic I need to research)!!! Help! Love rub-ons!!! Thanks so much for sharing :)
+Anna Daloisio I just incorporate them into my daily pages, signified with a dash ( - )
you the bomb. that is all
+ashley crandall Word! :)
Hi Kara, Sorry to be a pest here in asking questions, I'm sure you get a megaload each week. But I was wondering, with removing the monthly spread in your BuJo, where would you move things like Birthday reminders to? Would that now live in your weekly spread or daily's? I'm new to BuJo and about to start setting mine up and trying to think of a best "what will work for me" type scenario. Thanks!
+Katie Brien I keep birthday reminders in my calendex, signified by a green dot. This just lets me know that there is a birthday that day, so I check my iCal to see who's birthday it is and write it into my weekly spread :) Hope that makes sense?
:D
Hi Kara!
Great Blog! have been with you for a while now! I joined the tribe awhile ago, and wondered where I go to look at the free printables? I am having a little problem with my eyes, and it would help if I could use the printables...easier for me to hold, see and look at for future use! Where do I find the link to the Tribe Resource library? (it takes me to the sign up...and says I am already a member!)
+Elizabeth Bleas Hi Elizabeth! There is a link + password in the welcome email, as well as at the end of each newsletter that I send out :)
What brand are the rub on stickers you found? I LOVE THEM!!
+Natalie Tremblay They are the "Recollections" brand :)
Love this!! I'm sorry if I've already asked this before but how long does one bullet journal usually last for you?
+Melissa W Somewhere around 4-5 months depending on how busy each month is :)
Oh okay thank you!! I appreciate the helpful information
I just got the notebook and I love it but I'm going to start the bullet jurnal in April can you do a min tip Monday: Monthly spread (I hope you can)
+Raylene Larson I don't use a monthly spread anymore but I have several examples of it in my "Plan With Me" playlist :)
Boho Berry if you ever go back to the monthly spread can you do a min tip monday for it?
+Raylene Larson If I do, then yes. But again... if you look at all of my past plan with me videos you'll see a close-up of my monthly spread :)
Boho Berry thanks i love your vids
How many more rock your handwriting challenges do you think you're going to be doing
+Stephanie Cristea We'll be posting new prompts every month :)
I love your videos and your layout inspires me for my own!!
I thought you should know however that the quote from the Buddha that you used is actually a fake Buddha quote. He never actually said that.
+Shannon Adams Oh no! There are so many fake Buddha quotes out there, it's hard to keep track. Either way, I love the sentiment :)
Hallo Kara, I'd like to know, how much time does it you to make the monthly Set up? And how much time do you invest daily to keep your Journal up to date? Great Video ;)
+Bubbel286 Thanks a lot! I'd say I probably spend 30 minutes nightly to plan out my next day. Throughout the day, I dive in to check things off and add new tasks as well. I'd say maybe 1-2 hours total per day? A small price to pay for finally having my life organized and on track :)
I love your work! I'm new to boho berry. where can i find the resource library for that template?
+TheInkedGuru wait nevermind! I found it c: the email just took a little while to load
+TheInkedGuru OK awesome! :)
would you please do a video on your calendex?
+Ace Andrews I already did :)
could you explain me what's the coloured line on the daily Pages?
sorry for my bad english i'm german😂
nice vid im also bullet journaling
Dig the song! What is it?
Kara roughly how long does a journal last you? X
+Best Laid Plans Typically about 4-5 months :)
+Boho Berry fantastic. I've got a pink dotted and I'm worried that when its full they won't have the pink as a colour option 😀
I'm walking around Michaela trying to find those rub on stickers!!!! Anyone know where they are or what brand?
+Heather Burnside They are the Recollections brand. In my Michaels there was a display up front near the registers, it was a bunch of boho-themed stationery, stickers, etc... all by Recollections. Hope that helps! :)
+Boho Berry thank you so much! An employee told me they didn't have any but perhaps they are up from and she didn't realize it. I had to leave to go get kids from school but I'll check back! Thanks again! 👍🏻
+Heather Burnside Aw bummer! I hope you find them soon. :)
+Boho Berry I found them on eBay! And some borders as well! Yay!
+Heather Burnside what did you look under on ebay I still haven't found them yet any help is really appreciated!!
Can someone please explain to me what to do in the Plan with me Challenge?
+Farah Toghan The directions for how to participate can be found here: bit.ly/1LhT3VK :)
Thank you so much, and by the way I really really love your style in bullet journaling. You are amazing.
How does one become a tribe member?
what's the meaning of "sluggish"??
It's like "tired" :)
thank you!
