What a great idea; hooking the transfer switch right to the furnace, I have not thought of that! That's the way I am going to do it with my Honda 2000i powering it! Thanks a lot Rick!

Rick, I've got TF201W switch to install. It has only one neutral wire. Should the 3 white (neutrals) wires be connected together? I guess the TF201W switch only disconnects the hot wire. Your design seems to be safer then, since it cuts off both neutral and hot. Thanks in advance for reply! Great videos!

***** Yes the neutrals would just be tied together, most transfer switches only switch the hot leg unless your looking at a whole panel type switch. We switch the neutral for safety but also some generators and or equipment require that in order to work together. It's common for some of the inverter type generators to trip on a fault if the neutrals are tied together in a panel.

Could a 2000w honda inverter generator power both a residential hot water boiler and forced hot air furnace. I have both at difference locations? Thanks

Great video. I wonder is this switch any better or cheaper than the reliant one which is close to 100 bucks?

stogierogy The newest version switch...the Heezy HTS15-MAN can be found on Amazon for $75 delivered, it's better in that it can also switch the neutrals which is needed for Bonded generators...guaranteed to work with any generator they say!
