    It'd be so cool if Zak could go through ep 2 & 3 with you guys!

    "Pisshead" in the UK just means a drunk, so not really "gross" lol.

    I just want a miracle retcon of Chloe and Rachel's ending from the first season...
    Let them have their gay "happily ever after," dang it!!!

    • @Slapapow
      @Slapapow Před 6 lety +1

      No, yeah. The story could easily be retconned within the confines of the lore. All they really need to do is have your BtS choices differ from the ones that led to the original game's events. Not to mention, we don't know the full extent of the supernatural stuff happening with Rachel...
      In a series about time travel, multiple universes, and superpowers, there's no shortage of directions they could go to avoid the events of LiS.

    Presumably the pencils in the ceiling are partly a reference to The X-Files: Mulder's office also features a number of them stabbed into a ceiling tile.

      I thought that was just a thing bored people did in offices and classrooms.
      Zak Gariss says it shows a petty rivalry and prank war with Hayden and Steph. Steph leave those post its saying those pencils are hers alone and that she knows Hayden took them. Hayden uses the pencils as darts and the ceiling tiles as dart boards.

    Really liked the video, it gave a lot more insight into some really interesting stuff. The Tabletop game having some kind of foreshadowing for the game has already been theorized by the lis community and I think that there's even more foreshadowing hidden in that pen and paper than Garris would admit

      I peronally think Damon being Duurgaron is kind of a red herring, especially if you consider Duurgaron's second name, the unscarred and Damon having a scar over his face, that subtlely hints he wouldn't portray Damon

    I was thinking about how in the original game David's car in the garage doesn't work. I wonder if Chloe took parts of his car to fix her truck up.

    I didn't notice the foreshadowing as such except that they showed the figures later. I just thought the D&D section was being used as character development, especially in regards to Chloe. As to the thought of them having considered adding more about the Dog fighting. I just don't have words.

    The one thing that bothered me about this game is that you get time travel powers to save your friend, but doing so causes a catastrophic event. But what about when you use your powers to help other people?

    • @Mr._Du
      @Mr._Du Před 6 lety +1

      The storm isn't caused by Max using her powers to save Chloe, specifically. It's caused by her using her powers at all. Saving Chloe just happens to be her primary focus, and losing Chloe is the hardest thing for Max to accept. For instance, Max realizes as early as episode 2 that using her powers for stupid reasons is wrong, even as she's using them more and more desperately in an attempt to find a timeline where Chloe is alive and the storm never happens.
      The whole time-travel thing is really an allegory for growing up. It's the universe teaching Max that she has to live with the consequences of her actions and make the best of the bad things that happen to her. Her loves ones may die, people may hate her, she may say the wrong things all the time, but she needs to accept all that and move on.
      This is made (fairly) clear during the conversation Max has with herself in the diner in episode 5's nightmare sequence.

    you left out Zak Garriss' innuendo about Rachel's powers ! I feel like he almost confirmed it though, implicitely.

    • @Mr._Du
      @Mr._Du Před 6 lety +1

      The devs stated early on that anything supernatural in BtS would be very low-key. For instance, the dream sequences could be prophetic or they could just be dreams. Rachel could have some kind of "power" or it could be read as just coincidence. Same with the raven. So, basically, read into it whatever you want, but I wouldn't expect anything to be confirmed. It's all purposely ambiguous.

    Thanks for making this. I tried watching the full original video, but then decided not to because I couldn't sit through another full play-through of this ...
    I really would have liked to know what was going through the producer's mind watching the game he made. His eyes seemed to tell a lot, but sadly we can't read his thoughts :(
    So much hidden stuff is lost and never told, which is sad with games. That's why there's a directors cut with commentary for movies. I really would like to know what they thought when creating the nightmare sequences. I don't like them much (also didn't in the original LiS), but maybe I could be swayed if explained to me from their point of view.
    I'd also love to see the scripts with the dialogue options, like we briefly did in that sneak peek behind the scenes. Because I'm definitely NOT going to play the game the exponential amount of times needed to hear EVERY single dialogue option. But still, I'd like to know them ...
    Now THAT would be some EPIC DLC ... :D

    all that play was pretty good!! :D
    but it didn't answer the question of why through episode 1 and 2 Chloe graffitied as both right and left handed?
    what was that about? it was an error or what? o.O?

      They realized that Chloe was "mostly" left-handed "after" animating the graffiti haha
      But they've counted the numbers Chloe uses in LiS1 and figured she is ambidexterous afterwards :)

    You should of asked him what they would have done for the ending of the first game (Life is Strange). I just cannot stand the stupid bay or bae ending. It completely ruins the entire game for me.

    • @Nazgull123
      @Nazgull123 Před 6 lety +5

      Are you fucking insane? A game that tells you the whole time that your actions will have consequences, only for it to be cut down into two linear endings.

      V. Knoxville Mass Effect is not the game to use to compare LiS to as the trilogy has the most hated and not consequential ending of all time. All the branching narratives ended the same way with only colors being different.

    • @TheVintress

    Can someone PLEASE tell me if can chose romance or not, like in episode one, though the entire game or do I HAVE TO end up like a lesbian in the end? I´ve triend and triend to find an answer to this question without accidently seeing any spoilers, but I can´t.
