You didn't give shrek 2 a chance. It was so good. It was my childhood.
Under rated comment. Read the comment right before he actually said it, so when he said it, I actually laughed.
Perfect comment
Honestly a decent 3D beat em up.
@@cheifofsinnerslmao literally same I came here to also say I read it and then laughed out loud when I heard it
I LOVED Shrek 2 on the Gamecube. So many good memories of that with friends on sleepovers and hanging out after school
*In-depth analysis of video games:* -world sleeps
-*goes to crappy stores* -world erupts
give the slobs what they craaaaave
the SNES rpg reviews are always what I'm gonna be here for but I understand he's trying to hold audience and those things take forever to make each one
Looking forward to the 500K views of the "jingle keys." @@jhudsu1
Spending 500 dollars on all of these games just to donate them all back is wild.
(Jason picks up smash hit game that sold +10 million copies)
Jason: "Yeah, I never played this game or heard of this game..."
“Next up is King…doms…. Of amlour….. Reckoning?…..“ “Alright this seemed like a decent little game…” “And now let’s play something I’m actually excited to play. And that’s Virtua Tennis 4”
“I thought was like a Left 4 Dead clone or something” “ just reminded me of a battle royale game like Apex Legends”
@@mattkegs4509 bro has got to be the least gamer, gamer ever
Thumbnail game is on point today
Little Big Planet was the game that unironically made me buy a PS3 way back when, so it was crazy to see it be the only game in that entire stack that got skipped outright
That tackle box music is slapping!
You know that shit slaps when he goes into a full on headbang.
You can't hide from katamari forever. King of Cosmos watches you while you sleep.
I feel the cosmos.
damn little big planet would have lifted your soul, it would have helped.
Yeah, what the hell even was that? Just skipped right over it.
the littlebigplanet disrespect was unbelievable. huge part of so many childhoods, the first 2 were genuinely phenomenal
That games boring asf 😂
@@heymustirr Not if you play it.
@@heymustirr yea like the other guy said, not if you play it.
19:33 "Seriously though, why is everybody driving the exact same car? This is freaky"
Everybody in Mario Kart Wii driving the Flame Runner:
I'm pretty sure your "sideways" Wii is a "Family Edition" Wii. They are missing a few features, since the tagline was that they were more affordable for families. The biggest difference is that it won't run GameCube games like a normal Wii. Glad I found your Goodwill video, I'm enjoying your channel!
Edit: I guess yours won't run normal Wii games either, lol
Crysis exploding your Xbox: Ok haha , very funny
Switching to a different console for the rest of the 360 games to quietly continue the bit: comedic gold.
Major props for recycling them back to Goodwill after all that driving and gas. I would've probably selfishly organized them on a shelf never to be played again. Props.
We Ski is by far one of the best Wii Games you picked up. You didn’t really give it a chance, there are tons of hidden areas in the map, many side quests, and an open world map with a multitude of friends to meet along the way.
Seeing you point the Wiimote at the kitchen counter CRT gives me life.
John Madden Mii is too adorable for this world 😯

Music: 🎶FEEEEL THE HEEEAT🎶
Gameplay: you chose straight worm 😂😂😂
"acts more quirky and original than it really is" kind of encapsulates my feelings on the Wii in general lol. Great vid as always!
You inspired me to check my goodwill and I picked up halo wars for $5
As a non-American, I had to look up what it means to "Snap" the ball. I officially learned something about American Football from this video :)
The Kamen Rider game is based on the show Kamen Rider Ryuki! Its on Tubi for free; I recommend it so much. It gets pretty dark, and the action is so cool.
More so, it's based on Dragon Knight, the american adaptation. But yes, the suits are the same as Ryuki.
And unlike Saban's terrible attempt at adapting Kamen Rider Black RX into Masked Rider, Dragon Knight is actually pretty decent for the time it came out. Sure, it feels like a lesser Smallville, but it was fun.
@ 18:45 Seeing Jason not understand how to shift past 1st gear was very satisfying to watch.
-Spending $50 for the Wii to be broken really sucks :(
-Buying any of the games for them not to work sucks :c
-Family guy game seemed goated
-I'm with you on FPS not being my favorite genre either
-I like to ignore tutorials sometimes too
-THROWING each WONDERFUL game into the box hurt my soul - that's a prized collection!
-AHHHH pink controller!! hell yeah
-Heavy Rain is genuinely a really good game - I recommend playing the whole thing someday
Yippee thanks I enjoyed the video - donating everything back to Goodwill was a cool move
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is amazing. The soundtrack is full of retrowave bangers.
hey, ost was made by Power Glove, pioneers and best synthwave act IMO. Check their EPs. also power core extended mix (from that game) is a masterpiece, cheers
NFS hot pursuit was actually a fun game growing up. Look at it through the eyes of a 10 year old boy driving a Lamborghini Police car.
This channel has become one of my favorites very quickly. Good shit as usual Jason. Keep it up!
I am rapidly approaching your location for skipping LittleBigPlanet
I went into these Goodwill videos without knowing the background context of your previous videos, but checking it out it's pretty badass that they're from the perspective of a retro gamer and old school JRPG player.
you play the games you buy? what a novel concept
Love that you made a video trying all the games out. I was curious how many actually worked (surprised so many did!) and how many looked fun (surprised how little did). Great video 😤
Ah, you donated them back. That's sweet.
I found this channel earlier today with the goodwill vidéo and was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a part where the games were played. But then I just got surprised with the follow up video on the same day 😄
I want to actually believe he didn't know what prop hunt was, but honestly, it was everywhere in multiple different games that are "too old" now, so that was probably just a quirky jab.
dude you should really watch the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie... It was like one last hurrah of pre-millennium filmmaking.
I can also tell by your fishing technique, that you should be holding the wiimote (rod) in your left hand and the nunchuk (crank) in your right hand.
But you _have_ heard of it!
No, it was bilge.
@@TrueSeed-ft1jnI legitimately read that as "fisting technique" the first time.
There totally was a perspective shift when you switched to third person in that Star Wars game. Watch closely, and you can see the space rock or whatever that is shift slightly when you press the button. It's not a dramatic shift, but considering how relatively far away it is, the perspective shift wouldn't be that dramatic.
Anyway, great video!
The "sideways Wii" is just a family edition Wii which was a discounted version of the Wii without memory slots or GC compatability.
Your cabana style battle station is a nice vibe 🌴
Dude I didn't know there was going to be a follow-up video! ❤😂 This is great! 💯
Was not expecting how this video ended. You're a good dude Jason.
That prostreet review was painful tbh
Off to play some hoops with those basketballs in the passenger spot!
Good idea with a follow up video completing the goodwill circle of life
Can’t believe you didn’t give Shrek 2 a chance smh /s
You spent all that money and then donated the games right back? Let it be known, Jason Graves is a man of virtue.
Kamen Rider is a whole rabbit hole to go down. A fun one tho
What a great follow-up video to the Goodwill hunt. Would love to see you do this for other different thrift stores like mom & pop owned ones around Florida or even visiting every GameStop in Florida and getting a single game from them.
Can't believe you'd never heard of Prop Hunt before!
Dude's never heard of most things before.
I have no idea when he's being sarcastic or not I love it
I watched this to see if you enjoyed one game in particular. You literally gave it a kiss. My work here is done.
Wasn''t expecting Rex Grossman strays in a video about video games but I love it.
I remember hester running it back on the first play of the superbowl thinking "WE GOT THIS" and then peyton manninged all over us 😢
The goodwill saga continues to provide!
Why wouldn't you give LittleBigPlanet a chance.
My Disappointment Is Immeasurable And My Day Is Ruined
Dang bro that ending caught me. Great video!
Very entertaining, man. Love your work.
Like Yoda, imho?
I'm SHOCKED it's taken the algorithm this long to send me to your channel. I'm your newest big fan
"It's like Breath of the Wild with guns."
Adam Kovic forever being proven right. Far Cry 3 really is like insert popular RPG, but with guns.
5:13 hitting the best game with ~50 minutes left of video is definitely something lol
Great ending, loved the commitment
I believe every CoD has some form of Prop Hunt in it, and it's one of my favorite game modes ever. Im glad you got to experiemce it.
Just getting started but had to make a quick note. I've heard soooo many good things about the Lego games, particularly the Lego Star Wars, so I felt really bummed when I picked up Star Wars TCS and the games felt so samey. And I couldn't believe there's literally no penalties. So now seeing Lego Pirates is almost the same as Lego Star Wars and I'm glad I didn't buy any of the others.
I used to play tons of LEGO games but eventually I hit a point where I felt super burnt out & just sorta stopped. Yeah, I was more into the 2010’s games where the characters started to talk & they slowly brought in some new mechanics to each new one, but it wasn’t enough to keep me from getting tired eventually. It certainly was a problem with those games, but I know that many kids really enjoyed them :)
The fun in those games come more from finding collectibles and unlocking characters, as the intended audience is young children so the challenge level is always kept to a minimum. They're good, but formulaic and repetitive.
@@theidiotchildren agree with you and bluedash. They still are fun but I guess I was just hoping better and over 6 games that some mechanics would change a bit more.
Honestly you ruined my day by not playing McDonald’s treasure land adventure soundtrack 😭😭😭
Binghamton Mets, Watkins Glen, Binghamton Senators all in one video? All that was missing was a spiedie!
Once you get past the intital weirdness of Lost Planet 2 youll find one of the best Coop games ever made.
But yeah, seeing Jason play all these games, with the majority being unable to keep his attention, kinda showcases how sucky and timewasting modern gaming actually is.
Great two parter with the Goodwill hunting. Really inspired stuff. I love the off the cuff non scripted style. Red Cow represent.
If you ever want 10 minutes of peak entertainment boot up Nascar Thunder 2003, change the race settings to turn cautions and your car damage off, and then go backwards and ram into the full field of 42 other racers going 200mph. Used to do it when I was a kid all the time, most fun I had playing honestly any game as a kid
Well, I'm off to Google to double-check the pronunciation of Caribbean 🚢
There are multiple. His was one.
that's a shame about gran turismo 3. that's one of the best ps2 in my opinion. I also thought Far Cry was like Breath of the Wild with guns lol. Open world stuff where I can have vehicles still blows me away.
Great video Jason.
cleanest thumbnail i’ve seen and a cool little two parter series
I play a lot of light gun games on the Wii, it's one of the reasons I keep it around. I've also used a lot of gun peripherals for it, and the Zapper that comes with Link's Crossbow Training is by far the best. it has the fastest trigger action, the lightest frame, the best stability using the back end to plant, and it works just as well with a nunchuck docked or free hand, as some games require. No third party I bought ever even came close, despite modifying the spring strength and other things myself after buying them. The biggest problem I have with the Wii gun games is that you can't actually aim down the sight, it aims more in the arc of a grenade launcher, you're always pointing way off from where the shots would actually go from a real gun, and I grew up on the NES Zapper which used plastic iron sights that actually functioned like a real gun for aiming. Other than that though, it captures a lot of the fun of arcade shooters with those big plastic guns, and it's much more compact and functional than the Super Scope. The Wii Zapper is the final evolution of the light gun in modern console terms, and it deserves your respect.
Did anyone actually watch the entire video? He gave ALL? the games away. OMG. Even the Wii fighter? EVEN SHREK 2!~
The ending was fitting for the thrift store adventure 😉
Far Cry 3 is great. I couldn't stop playing it back when it was relatively new. I never played any of the Far Cry games before that, or after. When you defeat an enemy base, then the friendly NPCs take over. Sometimes I would make my character a "psycho killer" and then annihilate the friendlies. ha haha ha! They would yell and scream, "he's loco" and I would laugh and laugh.
What a perfect ending, that was awesome.
The funny thing with Far Cry 3 is that the only thing I know about the game was literally everybody said the game was Skyrim with guns to the point where it was a meme when it came out. And now, over 10 years later, based off your own conclusion from previously being isolated from the series, you say it's like Breath of the Wild with guns. I guess the game did a good job at what it was trying to do.
Love the reviews, but I also really like videos like this, especially goodwill or second hand hauls. It's fun to see what one can find.
The algorithm came through for once. Immediate sub. You give old youtube vibes
noooooo I waited so long to know what's that inside mem card, I feel your pain
Now I know why he had that disclaimer at the beginning; He crapped on every single game here, but two. I didn't expect in depth reviews of every single title, but if you're just going to be doing first impressions, maybe don't be as anal about taste.
Jason continuing to be the best Angry Videogame Nerd in 2024
Kamen Rider mentioned KAMEN RIDER MENTIONED
That Sega Bass Fishing soundtrack sounds like a DOA paradise sountrack
This was awesome cheers Graves
Borderlands 2 does get more fun as you unlock your abilities. The story also picks up later in the game. The DLC is especially good.
Love this "series". Do Georgia Goodwills next!!
That atv game you grabbed is a childhood favorite for me so i hope ya like it
Great video, great profile picture. Have a nice weekend, Jason.
Trust me, even Assassins Creed fans don't get the futuristic stuff. We just wanna roleplay, man.
I have a “sideways Wii” it’s just a newer Wii that doesn’t have GameCube capability, and mine came with new super Mario bros when I got it
I had a lot of fps games during the ps3's heyday and I always remember having to remap the controls to actually use the triggers on the controller. Such a bizarre design choice.
Your impression of the comments section at the beginning was really good 🫡
Oh yeah the blossoming of a new channel
As a Melee and 64 grow-upper, Brawl is eeeeehhhh. Project M, though? Excellent. It let me play as Buster Blader. I will concede that Brawl easily has the most appealing single-player story mode. Also, really enjoy they used Miis in Madden Wii.
Pretty sure a local thriftshop still got APB (not reloaded), vanilla WoW, Warhammer Online boxes ready to buy. Regular edition boxes. Slurping up the bargains of the valuables if I actually see them tho.
- I wish we had a long gritty Kamen Rider Kuuga game, iirc Kuuga was the last one overseen by the original creator and it really shows.
It's nice you donated them after playing them.
Holy hell, that is an entertaining concept! I would probably try it myself... if it were not for the exclusive German language titles here. Anyway, absolute killer videos! I loved your goodwill hunt and you actually going through them is awesome. Btw you wouldn't catch me dead playing that pony game. Ah and one last thing: play the raving rabbids with a bunch of friends. I call it the wanking game and we all love it
Star Wars drone fighter does move the camera back, but it's instant and the retina doesn't change...
Howlin' at that ending.
Saying that Borderlands 2 reminds you of Apex Legends should be a criminal offense. However, introducing the world to the Bass Fishing tackle box music made up for it.
