I remember shopping at the online store in Sebring FL before they lakeside mall. Whenever I had to go to Bay Pines VA hospital for an Appointment I stopped by Tyrone Square Mall to shop at Sears. Later after I moved to St. Petersburg FL I bought all my appliances and clothes from Sears. I missed the stores very much and I rather shopped at Sears and then Amazon.. They had the best clothes anywhere. I loved my Kenmore Appliances and had a refrigerator that was over 15 years when I sold my condo.

Born in 1995 and my mom every damn Saturday would drag me to Sears by the mall. Sears had everything, they sold everything! Except freshfood. Mines even had the auto mechanic sears, it had 3 floors. Sears died cus they didnt change, they were the original amazon but ig the idiots in management couldnt figuire it out. Today that same mall my mom took me to is a closed down Sears and I see it everyday cus thers a Golds gym I go to thats next to it at the mall. Before watcging this vid I thought all Sears were gone but some are hanging on for dear life and it aint lookin good omg those old computers for the pos brought back memories

Actually Ultima3 on the NEST is much more hard than the PC version. Because you can power-game and get the best armor/weapon really soon. Also leveling does make some harder enemies spawn, but unlike U3-NES it does not spawn almost exclusively strong enemies. I agree it plays much slower and having a trail of followers on the map (with the tailing one being targetable for encounters) does not help. Extra ailments like "Cold" really blows. I never could finish it on the NES as any game that makes leveling pointless is an auto-fail game in my book. If only the tougher enemies gave great loot to offset difficulty (like dragon sword/armor from you know... dragons?). U4-NES I actually hated the entire soundtrack, but it was very nice playing thru it. Ultimately I'd rather just play the PC version tho. U5-NES is absolutely awful. The PC version is such a treat once you get used to the graphics.

I worked at a sears hardware store back in the early 90's. It was a small store like a mom snd pop type. We really had alot of customers all the time. Then Sears tried competing with big box stores. They did my store dirty. My manager found out that we were going to get fired after our store closed down. So he started giving us stuff, like really expensive stuff. The new sears hardware stores did'nt last very long. They really had a good thing going with those smaller stores. Its sad that they went under.

When they left Canada they burned so many people. It had been a solid job with a good pension for decades. And when they went belly up, not only did people lose their jobs, current and former employees lost their pensions. Really fucking sad

I worked at sears for a bit. I also think that their online sweepstakes took a part of their bankruptcy. I forgot the name of the sweepstakes, but they would give out a lot of expensive things away and not only that. They also let you choose what type of item you want from their online catalog. I won a GTX GPU from them before they closed down the giveaways. I was MPU (Merchandise pick up) employee, we would get a lot of stuff from the line hauls but I was surprised by how little customers I saw in the store. Maybe I wasn't paying much attention to that but I felt like we were busy and didn't expect Sears to close down.

I'd go to Sears with my parents and look at the PC games while they shopped. Then we would go to Sizzler or Nathan's.

I'm surprised Sears lasted as long as it did. They abandoned their customers in the late 1980s and the overall shopping experience just got worse every year. They deserved their bankruptcy.

In 1990 I was entering my sophomore year at Daley College on Chicago's SouthWest side one half mile from The Ford City Mall. The mall had just undergone a multiyear, multimillion dollar renovation. It even expanded into "Ford City West" on the west side of Cicero Avenue!! The Chicago Tribune headline in its Sunday Tempo section was: "Have You Driven to Ford City...Lately?". It was a VERY BIG DEAL for me and my clique to go to the cinemas or hang in the HUGE Food Court after classes. Sears Roebuck and Carson Pirie Scott were the biggest of the anchor stores. Now J.C.Penney is the only big dog left. It's practically a ghost town.😢😭😭

My main problem with these old department stores (I have a Macys near me) is they don't have accurate online inventory. I'll look up something on google shopping and Macy's will have it in stock on their website, but when I get to the store everything is a jumbled mess and the website doesn't tell me what aisle the thing would be on and I spend 20 minutes wandering around only to not find what I'm looking for. For me, shipping stuff isn't important. I don't care if stores don't ship to home. But in store pickup needs to be a thing in the modern day and online inventory needs to be accurate or else it just leaves a sour taste in my mind when I think of your store because you wasted my time.
