LETRA
Sampaguita gentil que halagas
con tu aroma mi filipina,
sampaguita flor peregrina
¡ay!, que en tus trenzas bordando estás.
Tú que en breve collar prendida
dulce besas su ardiente seno,
quien pudiera de amor lleno,
flor venturosa tú,
y cual tú y gozar.
Dichosa tú que al perfumar el viento
tu aroma y su aliento
confúndense al par.
Dichosa tú que en lánguido embeleso
darle ha acostumbrado un beso,
su boca inquieta llena de afán.
Flor de las flores,
tesoro hermoso de hondos amores.
¡Ay quien pudiera,
flor pura, por verte así,
así cual tú y gozar!
II
[ De Manila flor hechicera,
de ella encanto y envidia mía,
sampaguita feliz que un día
ay!, prenda fuiste de mi pasión.
Si de dicha y pasión tus hojas
marchitarse en su seno visten,
juzga cuanto mi pecho triste
de celos viéndote, ay!, sufrió.]
Ay ve a calmar
a este pecho que se agita,
feliz sampaguita,
más feliz que yo.
Ve a acariciar
con tu halago su cabello,
corre a ceñir su cuello
mientras de gloria
muero de amor.
Flor peregrina
que adora tanto
la filipina,
ay quien pudiera,
flor pura, por verte así,
así cual tú y morir. - Hudba
oh my! nice song, sb19 billboard video on tiktok brought me here😊
Un lugar encantador para vivir, mi amado país. Filipinas, usted es como un poco sampaguita con un olor dulce.
Qué bonita canción filipina. Saludos desde España
¡¡¡VIVA LA HISPANIDAD!!!
I don't understand why would someone even give this a thumbs down, such a beautiful song.
Maldita Some people are born idiots. They don’t know how to appreciate good music. Walang sariling bait.
Traveling back to 1879 when the song was composed
english songs really sucks now
Wish someone can re-sing this song with the same traditional instruments.
Dolores Paterno composed it on the piano
@@kishaurlanda571 not all but yeah I agree with the mass-produced pop stuff even after 3 years
ahh so nice
Certificado intergaláctico!
viva Jose Rizal!!...viva FILIPINAS!!
Filipino here, this motivates me to continue learning spanish lol
What a beautiful song !
Sad, we lost the Spanish language :(
I'll teach you..!Viva las Filipinas Mahal kita Filipina Bella..! Never let them take what was once your💟
You can still learn Spanish lol. I assume your educational resources are as good as that of a 19th century Filipino elite
Not sad at all. Never forget polo y servicio and the cruelty of the friars!
@@rocklee1764 polo y servicio was used to build infrastructures to the people that are still benefitted by the present generation of Filipinos. The Spanish came in small numbers, so who would build infrastructures if they would not hire workers to do them ? The Spanish themselves ? Polo y servicio was for grown up men from 16 to 60 years old and they were paid for their 40 day job, not free.
@@rocklee1764 you are a perfect example of someone who loves to generalise everyone Lol. Not all Friars were the same. Sometimes I wish it was the Brits or the Belgians who ruled the Philippines, so people like you who think everything about the Spanish colonisation was bad would really get a dose of what you were saying.
Composed by Dolores Paterno, sister of Pedro Paterno.
We danced this in university!
I never knew the original song was in spanish. Who is the singer for this piece?
Rowell Glabog Guillermo Gomez Riviera.

Viva filifina
the heck??? anime??? 1:10
is it me, or does this sound Italian?
Wolfy Kaname this is Spanish
Spanish, which is the original lyrics of the song, though now more popularly known in its Tagalog version. Of the Habanera genre, this type of music is popular among Spanish speaking countries, particularly those with seaports. In the summer many parts of spain hold Habanera festivals and contests.
Very Italian! Mario eating a spaghetti pizza while watching The Sopranos type Italian
yes it does
though spanish does sound like italian sometimes
it's also from the same language family so it makes sense
though the singer's pronunciation also affects the way it sounds haha
