Obviously we will skip the line to not waste time to maximize our experience.
The Vatican Museums originated with the collection of Pope Julius II inside the Apostolic Palace Complex in the early 16th century and have been open to the public since the 18th century. This recommended route covers and the important works found in the prominent galleries such as the Pio Clementino Museum, the Candleabra Gallery, The Map & Tapestries Gallery, The Borgia Apartments & Rafael Rooms found in the Renaissance Wing with the Grand Finale in the Sistine Chapel.
After the Vatican Museum we will skip the security line and take the fast track into St Peter's Basilica.

My sister and I did the Vatican tour with Dome climb and catacombs through the Tour Guy this past October. Was supposed to be a 5-hour tour. Our guide kept us for a full 6-hours, and made every minute worth it! She was incredible. Since we’ve been back, we’ve told everyone who asks about our trip how this and The Tour Guy tour of the Colosseum were the highlights. That anyone who goes needs to take the guided tours from them. We would have been in the various lines for hours longer, and wouldn’t have known what 98% of the things we were looking at even were! Thank you!

This is the Sistine Chapel Ceiling. Pope Julius II asked Michelangelo to paint the Sistine Chapel in 1508 which the artist finished in 1512. Notice in the original Hebrew text of the Torah, the story of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, does not specify what kind of fruit. We read later on, that as soon they ate the fruit, they noticed were naked and covered themselves with fig leaves, the closest tree where they were standing. Wise Jewish exegetes of the Torah learned because of the facts presented in the story. Fig was the fruit that Adam and Eve ate in The Garden of Eden. Look like Michelangelo was well-advised not by a Catholic priest, but rather by someone else wiser who knew about the Garden of Eden story.

Copyright law! You can't sell or publish pictures of the Sistine Chapel. The Vatican sold the rights in order to cover some of the costs of the restoration. Also because the Sistine Chapel was not completely restored; therefore it's best to be cautious even if you're not using a flash. Reverence, out or respect of the significance of the chapel; it's the Pope's private Chapel and it's where a new Pope is elected. The Sistine Chapel is not the only place of worship or museum that doesn't allow videos or pictures in certain areas. There are mosques, temples etc... that allow video or photos.
