- I love making personalized envelopes to go with my cards. The card design is a digital print of a Gelli print I made. If you like this print, it is for sale in my Etsy shop.

Here is the video link if you want to see how I made the flower print.
For the envelopes, I used the same paints and colors so that they match the cards. I used Perfect Pearls for added shine and interest.

Beautiful prints. Far too good to use for envelopes. 😊
Thank you. I am thinking of doing a junk journal with Gelli printed envelopes…that way they don’t get discarded! 😂

Hi Colleen! Thank you. Hugs! 🤗
After watching a bunch of your vids, I'm curious: is there a rhyme or reason to where you put each blob of paint down before you brayer them out? The mix of colors always turn out so pretty
Great question! And thank you for watching my videos!
If I use a single color, I tend to put it in the middle. If I create an ombré, I put one color on the top and one on the bottom to blend them, and sometimes add a third color in the middle. If I use multiple colors that may not all blend well, I will put small dots of paint around the plate and use a smaller brayer to roll them out.
For ombré prints, I always use colors that can blend together and not complementary colors. I use complementary colors once one color has dried and apply the complementary color behind it. For example, blue and orange mixed together would make a brown color, so I would put orange on one layer, let it dry and use blue on the next layer.
I hope that helps answer your question! Thanks again for your comments and feedback! 🤗❤️
@@Thereses-Crafty-Cabana sweet! Thank you!
What a great idea! They are absolutely beautiful. 🥰 Apologies if I missed it but are you scanning the prints and print them on a different paper before turning them into cards? The surface looks incredibly smooth. Mine always have a slightly textured surface when pulling them off the gel plate.
Do you scan them before turning them into cards or are you using the original??? Thank you❤
Great question. I did scan the prints but I used the print that I Gelli printed to make the envelopes. The pearl powders leave a really smooth shiny surface! The scan does not capture the shine that you get from the original print. I hope that helps.
@AtelierOwlfeather I am using the original.
Makes perfect sense, especially with the pearl powder. I guess I am just piling on a bit too much paint to end up with a rougher surface.
Looking forward to your next video❤
@AtelierOwlfeather thanks so much! 💕
