The one that “cracks you up” is seriously my favorite!! Love it! ❤❤
Beautiful! I am glad you heard Louisa shouting “STOP!”. I loved all the variety of envelopes colors. So much fun. 💚💚💚
I’m screaming at you for using your glue gun over your gelli plate the glue while it is hot could ruin the plate. Thank goodness you didn’t drip hot glue on the plate. Love watching gell plate play. Very interesting results. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦
Lol. Me too. I was cringing the whole time. Luckily Barbara is very neat & hopefully the cardboard was enough barrier to protect it from the heat of the glue
@@allisonjames2923 Me too!
Me too😃
Love how the envelopes turned out, even the “wrong”ones. And after seeing the ones you did, I have to do my glue gun stamps again.
I am also afraid of burning myself with the hot glue. I am always amazed at how Tina (shabbydabbydoodah) touches her freshly-glued projects and it doesn’t seem to hurt her.
I agree
I don’t know how she does that! 😬
Barbara, I Love it when you laugh at yourself. It's a great life lesson that we all need to do more of!!
It’s a bouquet of envelopes! I love your simple ones but I must say the funky ooops ones are really appealing. Love the leaf stamped one, the white outlined tree stamp and dare I say the green one? I love gel printing and if you want to get rid of those round splotches that come from the dabs of paint don’t be afraid to swirl your brayer around on the plate to mix them up good 😉
Just bought my gelli print system. Using envelopes, brilliant! I love the green and the orange with green.
Front view: Pink, blue & green are my favorite - the ones without the strip. 💖💖 🤗🦋💕
The green one that cracks you up is my favorite. You’ll be using it for a secret garden or MONET inspired page/journal and happy you have it!
😃👍🏻❤️
I like the purple British colors with the blue flowers. It looks like sunset colors.!! I really enjoyed your video today. Thank you for sharing !!
I really love the green one. Like all the random bits of color. Thank you for the video
Barbara, that was fun to watch! Very interesting how the results are. Those will be fun to use in your journals. TFS!❤
This looks like fun. I have to get a gelli plate. My favorite is the green with the blues next.
Enjoyed the entire episode. I think my favorite is one with the purple leaf design. But I like most all of them. Thanks for sharing !
I love the ones with the white stripes also the most. We learned a lot, thank you ❤
I think I may have scared the neighbors yelling, “Nooo! Don’t do it agaaaain!” 😆 Then when you said that about jumping in the screen, that did it-I had a MEGA case of the giggles…so much FUN! going on these adventures with you!! Inspiring and energizing!! Thank you!
😃❤️
I agree. I was was giggling and screaming at the video all the way through too
The pink with the lines one I like also
I loved the orange one with the large white circles and the last one with the orange red yellow. Although all of these turned out great.
When you use too much paint, just do a quick pull with another piece of paper & just press it down gently. It will pull off some of the paint & leave the rest. Creates cool grungy texture too. I actually loved the orange wavy one that you covered up, but I do like lots of them. You could also use a posca pen or black pen to outline the shapes on the ones you thought were boring. Or just add a layer of stamping 😊
Thanks for the tips! ❤️
Green one my fav !!!! Loved this video, and your "failure is not an option ". I would have thrown it out lol. Great to see creators making mistakes, makes you so relatable.
This is my favorite too!
i couldn't choose a favorite! I liked them all. Each unique.
I kept changing my mind as to my favorite, but probably the pink with the diamond pattern. Fun project, Barbara.
I think they all turned out great.
That was fun. My favorite is the orange one with the circular design on it. 🧡
Lots of progress since your first trial of gel printing! 😀 Merci!
I love the green one!
Envelop nr 2 (orange one with black circles) looked like it had doors opened and light coming in, so cool! I realise I, at some point, really need to get a geliplate. These envelops are so fab! But, jeezee!! You made me jump with turning the envelops the wrong side almost two times!!
Lots of happy accidents! Like them, the green one is my favorite
What fun! My favs are the last one and the funky green one. Going to give this a go.
Thanks and have fun! 😃❤️
I love the leaf one, the blue one and the orange one. However, all of them have character. Carol from California
This experiment was so much fun to watch. I love gelli plate printing. Your more monochrome ones with texture are my favourites, especially the bright orange with circles (unusually for me) and the ones with the strips. I did laugh when you put the envelope down on the wrong side, and when you almost did it a second time.
I love the second to last! It looks like a Monet! :)
❤That looked like fun! Very inspirational!
I love all of these. They’re so fun and full of color. I really like the orange one with your flower stamp. I love that stamp. And I like the pink one with the diamond pattern. I have a large Gelli Plate. I have all the toys too. But I have to go through my stencils and see if there’s any I can use. I just haven’t been brave enough to try.
Barbara how brave of you!!! Great experiments!!! It is always good to try other medias. I thought your envelopes turned out fantastic. 💜💜💜
Looking forward to video of next step with these. In a journal etc.
I’ll bet your wipe off paper is beautiful
I’d like the blue ones
They are all crazy cool!! My favorites are both blue ones & the peachy/orange with mesh stencil and flower stamp. Thank you for the inspiration and hope you have a wonderful weekend💕🐬
Barbara, you had me howling with laughter. Beautiful prints, my picks were very similar to yours, I loved the diamond pattern best. Fantastic video.💜🧡💜
You are so incredibly brave with your paint colours and they turned out beautifully. I like the ones with the labels best of all. 🤗🇨🇦🤗
Meine Favoriten sind die Blauen und das Grüne😊, hast du toll gemacht, ich Danke dir, LG Manuela
Love them all and how colorful they are. My favorites are same three you chose plus the last one with the flower on the flap. I just got some new Art Foamies and you've made me want to play with them now!
Thanks and have fun! 😃❤️
#2 is my favorite!! They are all really cool. Have to try it.
Hello Barbara! Each of these envelopes have their charm. And for the ones that are slightly off, you could always resuscitate them with stamping on them with your handmade stamps (without the gelli plate) Maybe add metallic gold to the black envelope so it is not the black sheep of the flock? To make the coat thin, you might try traditional ink printing and use a piece of glass to the side to apply the paint from the tube and breyer on the glass and then transfer the breyer to the plate that way? If the paint dries too quickly you could get some acrylic medium as well to slow drying, which will also thin the paint a little or make it transparent? I love watching the gelli process, it's very suspenseful and then always is a surprise finish! Thanks for doing this! Cheers! ❤
Thanks for your suggestions! ❤️
I like the green one, but all of them are pretty!❤
I like the first one and the blue one that you made with the placemat. What a cool way to use a thing. :)
I actually like the mandarin one with black circles most! I will definatly be making hot glue stamps! 🙂 It could be helpful keeping a palate knife next to you for scooping up the extra unwanted paint. I feel so energized and inspired! 🏃♀️Thank you!☺
I love this video!!! I love the element of surprise! I enjoy playing with my gelli plates!
My favourites were the three you chose as well. In the same order. I have never thought of using a strip of paper to leave a white space when I do my envelopes! I use them to actually mail to people, so I add a white label on top of the paint, but it would be more simple to have the white space on the actual envelope! I am going to try that when I do my next batch. I had a lot of fun watching this! 😀
This has definitely encouraged me to get my gelli plate back out, thank you. I am about to make my Christmas Journal so I might make some festive envelopes to pop inside it 🎄
So fun! I have a tiny little round geli plate that I just can’t bring myself to practice with. However, it’s a great idea to try out and experiment on some envelopes. So that will get me started 🤗. I really like the ones with the white strip down the middle. So fun to watch you experimenting and inspiring with all kinds of new designs. 🤗❤️❤️
Go for it and have fun! 😃❤️
Gelli printing is awesome! And as long as you use thin layers & work either from light to dark or dark to light, you’ll get great results. Also worth knowing which of your paints are transparent & which ones are opaque, as that will affect the outcome. And remember, if you aren’t happy, it just isn’t finished yet 🤷♀️ Enjoy! PS welcome to the Gelli plate addiction!
I love the pink one with the tree, you put the white line around 😊 and Eelco loves the first one with the black circles 😊 thank you for the very informative and fun video sweetie 😘😘😘
Thanks so much, so fun to read which ones you both liked! 😊❤️🥰
Love gel print envelopes!!! Leaving a white spot for address would be good for using these envelopes to actually mail. Since brayer-off sheets look so cool, I'd use envelopes for my brayer-offs. I never see anyone gel print envelopes. But it's a GREAT IDEA!!! TFS Austin TX USA
Dear Barbara, l couldn’t choose a particular favourite as l loved each one for itself. At a pinch, it was probably the green one 🤷♀️, go figure.
Thank you for experimenting in real time for us and for leaving in all the steps. It helps us to learn by watching you.
Gelli printing is most likely the biggest nightmare for us perfectionists. I find that nothing really turns out even remotely like l imagined it would 😂😂😂
By the way, l lost count ….. 🍷🍸🥃🍺🥂🍹🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍸🍹 😉
Have a beautiful day and weekend,
Barbara 🇦🇺
My favorites are the envelopes with the plants!
I like the green one and the one with the flower
So much fun watching you experiment with this medium. Working with acrylic paint which dries waterproof can make it tricky to work quickly before it dries, especially in such thin layers. Perhaps having a very fine misting bottle of water at the ready could keep the paint active before pulling the print. Too much water however can make the paper slide- more experimenting! 😄
Moin Barbara!
Ich liebe deine Gelli printing Videos!
Es ist beruhigend zu sehen, dass nicht nur mir, nach so vielen Versuchen mit der Gelliplate, noch immer die gleichen Missgeschicke passieren; du hast immerhin daran gedacht, dass Spiegelverkehrt gedruckt wird (-;
Love the green and pink ones
Cool idea and a fun way to use up some of my many white envelopes. Thanks for the inspiration!
I like the blue (your second). But I really like the back that is orange and yellow with the black ovals! Fun to watch-- thank you
If you add a little cardboard tab to the back of your homemade stamps with some sticky tape, you’ll find it easier to pick them up. And a Gelli print is never ruined - it just isn’t finished yet if you don’t like it & needs more layers of contrasting colours
Thank you! ❤️
My favorite is the black one. The 1st one you did. 😊
Fun. I used the rings weeks ago and did the same. Super fun. ❤
I'm not a greenie person. but I do like it....the blue place mat next........You were having way too much fun for one person 😝............😻
😃
Love all of them.
this was so much fun, watching you experiment and tell yourself off, just like I do. I received my gelli plate in the mail, finally. It was on backorder fo several months. I have my plan to make my own stamps this coming week, so I am hoping to have a play with my gelli plate and stamps by the end of the week.
Oooh you will have a blast! 😃❤️
That was quite hilarious to watch and I think you have not quite embraced Gelli prints yet, they are supposed to be organic and grungy!😄. I love all of them, well, except the black front but, you could doodle in white Posca pen and it would look great too! I was trying to tell you to use the Gelli plate as a stamp pad when you’re using your homemade stamps instead of applying the paint with the brayer or your finger! 😅😅 That was fun!💕🇨🇦
Thanks for your tips! Yes, that would have made sense 😃❤️
Really loving them.
This was great Barbara. My sister's given me her gelli plate and I've been nervous to use it. Feeling a bit more inspired now Thank you
Go for it and have fun! 😃❤️
This was fun to watch!🤗 i love thé bluuuu e 😅💙
So much fun!
Wow🤩I love full colors i think also all model diffirent form i find really good job for envelope . Thank you for sharing
Learned so much.... again. Thank you so much. I think I'm brave enough now to try my own gel plate. 😊
Yay! Have fun! 😃❤️
I love # 1 & 3 a lot
Me encantaron todos, mi favorito es el verde.
Together, all your envelopes look great together. Your experimenting created some interesting ones for certain.
All pretty
Hey Barbara, every time you used primary colors: blue, red, yellow; you will get secondary colors: green, orange, purple. A color wheel may help you when it comes to mixing your colors. I hope this helps but your "OH NOs" are hilarious. Big hugs.🥰
This looks like fun! Thank you.
Love the experimentation! ❤
I like them all, exsept with the black front..
G'day Barbara. These turned out great ... all of them. But my favourites were the exact ones you choose too. I screamed " oh nooo" so many times ... lol You should scan these before you use them. Loved this video and outcomes.
@Elzanne That is an excellent idea to scan them💕🐬
The pink one with the tree is really pretty plus the ones you picked actually all of them are very cool. You are so much fun. Love your creative mind.
So fun and whimsical! Love them …
Love these!😊
defeat is not an option, love that about your channel!
This was fun to watch. This gelli plate technique is always a surprise. My favorite is actually the one you like the least, the funky one with all the colors. Lol. Have a good weekend!
Terrific video-thank you❤
Well done 🌹❤️💯
Great video 😅 thanks for sharing.
Looks like little houses when you open the envelope, i like the one with the flower 🌺
I think you are forgetting to check if colors are opaque or transparent! That will help you decide whether or not to use a color for the second print over your original first layer! Also, the tibe paints are heavy body and dry much faster than fluid acrylics that come in bottles! 🙂 Hoping these tips will make your gel printing sessions more successful!🙏❤️💜🦋
Thanks! ❤️
I also really like the funky plant one too.
Oh my goodness they are all beautiful but my favorite is the one with the flower that you did last. Also, I never would have thought to use hot glue to make a ‘stamp’ with. Brilliant! What a fun video to watch, you were making me laugh♥️
Love these and so appreciate you showing us the whole process! Be brave is the best encouragement I am going to tell myself that too
I prefer the two blue envelops and the envelop with the two white stripes :-)
i love to play on the gel plate - Barbara your envelopes came out very pretty xx
