- Hockey skates differ from figure skates by having a shorter blade without a toe pick. The weight is lighter, and its construction is harder to maximize agility and protect from pucks and other players. In addition, most hockey skates are black, whereas figure skates are white.

Figure skates are generally white or black. Guys usually wear black skates and girls generally wear white skates.
Thanks
Professional figure skating boots are also quite hard and thick on the sides to give ankle support, but very soft on the inside which makes them comfortable
when you lean back in figure skates you don't really fall. but with hockey skates you will fall backwards....
There are thousands of male figure skaters…..believe me they don’t wear white skates they wear men’s black figure skates.
May I ask why, I actually prefer white than black shoes.
@@ngoduc4510 it has been a standard for male and figure skaters for years. If they a wearing a particular costume that calls for the skate to match the costume colour they just have boot covers made for that performance.
Why does this dude sound like he’s talking like a robot
its an ai voice
@redmilk23 the rise of AI youtube channels is getting annoying. Bad grammar is rampant on them. And I'm really starting to suspect vids like this are using scripts made by chatgpt or something. It just seems very not human in the phrasing on nearly all of them. Also the info isn't anywhere near correct sometimes. Like the prices of hockey skates being 50-500 dollars? Most mid skates start at like 400. Information that could have been found by visiting one webstore.
The "figure skates" you are using in the video on the lake outside are recreational skates imitating the look of figure skates. I hope that you are not basing your comparison on these. Since these skates are so soft, they crease at the ankle. This only happens to figure skates at the end of their lifespan - they are pretty much rubbish from that moment on.
Why was the audio for this recorded in an echo chamber? Very bad quality. Bummer that this is the first video to come up when searching this issue.
My mid range hockey skates (Bauer Vapor 4X) were $500.
Figure Skates 150 Dollars 💀💀💀💀 mine are 500 💀💀💀 and the Ofc my Trainer are 1500 🤗💀💀
You're not going to find a pair of new senior hockey skates for $50. The range for player skates is generally from $130 for barely usable plastic to over $1100 for top-end skates, and goalie skates go from $210 to $1300.
What about thermoformability?
i have never seen hockey skates that are 50 bucks. When I'm at a hockey shop they are like 200-700 dollars
You forgot to mention toe pics on figure skates and longer blades. Toe pics only function in figure skating is for jumping
He did actually. At 1:16
It was mentioned, and besides, the toe picks are needed for some spins too
@@csicsi45 what spins ? There are toe steps, but not spins..
@@annasolovyeva1013 it’s for starting the spin
@@Cloxxyy no, you're starting with a three turn.
Welcome to FNAF
What about speed skates?
Very low ankles, extremely stiff, longer radius of curvature (flatter). Basically, carbon fiber tennis shoes.
