      No, and it's so unfortunate too. This new IP of theirs could have been a HUGE moment for Bethesda. They missed the mark in so many ways, but worst for me is the story and early game progression. It's just not interesting at all, no matter how hard I tried to enjoy even a second of it.

      @@pufflonnI really think Bethesda takes the blame when it should be Microsoft. Bethesda is the only major company with billion dollar franchises that has a 450 dev team. Only 250 devs are working on Starfield. Diablo 4 had 8500 developers, GTA 6 has 3000. Starfield has 250. Bethesda isn’t getting the support it needs.

      @@JeffMyers409 personally, I disagree. Support isn’t the issue here, it’s much larger than that. Also, Microsoft didn’t even acquire Bethesda until mid 2021, so Starfield was already mostly complete by that point. I wish it was as easy as blaming Microsoft, but unfortunately the problems are deep rooted within Bethesda itself.

    The state of Starfield makes me VERY worried about Elder Scrolls VI...

      It did for me too until I saw the new expansion for Fallout 76. It's looking more like older Bethesda content!

      I feel like the game already kinda does this haha.

    Sooo, the tracker target Hannibal is just the Friggin PONTIAC BANDIT from Brooklyn nine nine? This is Far Harbor all over again.

    The precedent this sets is kind of concerning. They shipped out an empty world with near infinite planets & now they're going to sell content as they go to fill it all in. They've been emphasizing that the game will be supported for the next 10 years & I wasn't really sure what that meant. We're going to find out that they've been hiding all the actual fun stuff so they can sell it to us crumb by crumb, lol

  • @TristenSarelvun
    @TristenSarelvun Před 21 dnem +4

    Wait. They're selling individual quests in a single questline/guild? So to compare to another game, it'd be like playing the first Mages Guild quest in a TES game, then having to buy the next one, and when you finish it... you have to buy the next one as well...? I hope I misunderstood or you explained poorly because that sounds miserable. At least it's voice acted...
    Honestly the thing that might bother me most is that it looks like (from other videos; I don't own the game) free player-made mods _and_ official microtransactions are both under the same "Creation Club" menu, unlike in FO4 and Skyrim SE which had them in separate Bethesda Mods and Creation Club menus. This is so bad on so many levels if true.
    I haven't seen many people point this out, but using credits at all is ridiculous. You can't just pay $7 for the one DLC you want; you have to pay $10 for 1000 credits and then spend 700 on what you wanted, then have 300 left over to... hopefully save for the next one? Games have been doing this for years ofc, but it's always been an inexcusable means of getting more money from people who shouldn't have to spend that much. It's like seeing a $7 meal but being forced to pay $10, but hey those $3 can go to the next one if you ever come back.
    I'm glad they listened to fans on one thing at least and improved the maps! Woo! If only they'll start doing that in other areas as well, there'll be hope for TES6 yet!
    If I ever play this game, I need Andreja's dress.
    Also \o/ yay more K1ng we missed you!

    • @K1ngCraft
      @K1ngCraft  Před 20 dny +1

      It does look like they are selling each mission separately, I'm guessing to make more money because yes, they do the same thing they do with ESO and many other games like you said. You have to buy too much credits and then you're left over with not enough to buy anything else.
      As for how they have combined both official mods and fan mods in the creation club; They've renamed it to just "Creations" which does muddle Bethesda's content in with fan content.
      Yes the maps finally work! I remember us all talking about how bad they maps were when I streamed it. I feel like the Trackers Alliance is just a guild that was cut or not finished on release. I feel Starfield has loads more content to come in the form of paid DLC and paid mods. It's a shame but for those who want to play a more finished Starfield this seems the only way.
      Also yes, Andreja is best girl.
      Miss you guys too! \o/

    I went in with the full knowledge and expectation of Bethesda jank and assumed it was basically Skyrim In Space. I got exactly what I expected. :D But seriously, on my scales Starfield is still a net positive. I like the Nasapunk-style tech, I like the gun and ship design overall, and since I'm already a fan of No Man's Sky, I've been right at home with procedurally generated random planets with click-to-scan gameplay. That said, I can see why a lot of people were disappointed in it. I find the game awfully hollow and with all faction quests done in short order. I hope Shattered Space brings some muscle in this skeleton of a game.

    You like how they intentionally make the game garbage so that they can then charge people to mod out all that garbage?

      Todd said in an interview that Starfield is a modders dream because there's so much "space" left to add content lmao.
