Thank you for making this video. I recently got a Godox SL300iii and this video has helped me to set it up.

Hi, thank you for this video. I would to know which differences are between SL300III and Vl300II. Thank you

The main difference is that the SL300iii is a monolight while the VL300ii uses a control box and power adapter that is separate from the head. When transporting the SL300iii, you only need to worry about the head and a single power cable. The VL300ii's checklist: Head, connecting cable, control box, another connecting cable, power brick, and wall plug.
The VL300ii's main advantage in separating all that stuff is that the head itself ends up quite a bit lighter (never a bad thing if you are going up high or on a boom). The separate control box is also useful for keeping controls in reach, but the wireless control options available for these lights might make that a moot point. The VL300ii's other advantage is that it can also accept V-mount batteries. However, you need two V-mount batteries at a time, and you will chew through them very quickly at full power, so we consider V-mount batteries to be a bit of a niche use.
The SL300iii is simpler and less expensive for the same output, so it's probably fair to call the VL300ii more of a specialty light.

    Where's the SI rating?

      Hi @bene9988-zd6oy,
We were unable find this information-Godox does not provide it in any of their manuals. Luminous efficacy has definitely improved on these latest generation LEDs. Our metering tests showed that the SL300iii was 2/3 of a stop brighter than the first generation Godox VL300.
